Smooth and straight
Nice. Smooth, straight cutting and quieter than my old generic brand jigsaw. Did about 3metres of cutting on soft alloy aluminium (3mm thickness). Butter. The alignment guide is spot on

Bosch PST 800 PEL Jigsaw works exactly as expected - Good value for money
Difficult to praise this inexpensive tool enough (£57) - I previously had a cheaper one (£35) purchased to cut out an freehand opening for a bathroom sink. While It did the job well - frustratingly I couldn't cut a straight line with it at all for when used on other projects - The blade would twist and wander off line. The product arrived promptly I tested this Bosch PST 800 PEL Jigsaw by 1) Cutting a 50mm strip from a 20 x 200mm (two metre) length of plank using a an other straight bit of wood as a guide. using the same blade I had on my Jigsaw. The result was excellent - The cut was clean, straight(within 1mm of line) and at 90 degrees all the way along. 2) Cutting another 50mm strip freehand - again it was easy to follow the line and the results were accurate. I am really pleased and can recommend this tool without hesitation.

Works well, cuts clean with 530w motor and no splinters with splinter guard
One of the best jigs saws i have ever purchased. Rated as 4 stars only because Bosch are being a bit mean not including a dust catching bag in the box. The performance of the jig saw is really good. a Strong 530W motor and variable speed via the trigger is great for cutting hard wood, like Mahogany with a Bosch pro blade. The plastic cut guide does need pushing back in occasionally and seems flimsy but to be honest it works well, assuming you keep the front of cut free from the sawdust. Attaching a vacuum to the rear helps but not always practical. Hold the vac head if you can to the front of the cut seems better. Cut 40 mm mahogany like going through butter with a pro Bosch blade. Overall very please and would recommend this model over the cheaper ones. Good grip handle, one blade supplied, and quick release and attach blade mechanism is a handy function.

Smooth Operator
I've only used the Bosch 06033A0170 PST 800 PEL Jigsaw for sawing 12mm MDF board, but unlike my old jigsaw it is easy to cut in a straight line and at a 90 degree angle to the top of the board. The guide that fits on the front of the saw makes it easy to follow a line, until you get to the end, that is, when the guide goes off the end of the board and the line becomes difficult to see (the last 1-2cm). It's really just just a question of getting used to the process and making sure that your body is in the right place I'm sure, but I took a point off the ease of use as I wandered a little once at the end of a cut. Another reviewer stated that no blades were included. There was a single blade included, though I am glad that I ordered "Bosch 2608633779 Clean Wood Jigsaw Blade, 1 Lug, Silver, Pack of 3" at the same time as I think that the bigger teeth on the blade that came with the saw would have given a rougher cut on the mdf board I used. In the description of the saw it says that a lithium ion battery is required but not included. It's not stated in the saws details what type of lithium battery would be needed and I could not find any mention of the battery in the instructions or see where a battery could be fitted, so I think that the details on the screen must be wrong and consequently only scored the accuracy a 4. All in all I'm pretty pleased with the saw.

Reliable and accurate.
Having decided to take on a project building a canoe, I felt my old cheap jigsaw was not up to the task, inaccurate, slow blade changes, and noisy. I have used bosch tools previously (woek and home) I felt I would treat myself. After reading multiple reviews , i opted for this one, good price to features ratio. I was not disappointed. As someone with limited wood working experience, this proved a godsend. Easy to hold a line, (straight and gradual curves) quick blade changes when needed, and the line guide is surprisingly good! Working on 6mm ply I was worried how the finish would be, but I was pleasantly surprised how neat it was, and only started to splinter a bit towards the end of cutting out 20+ pieces as the blade lost its edge. Would be nice if it came with a straight line guide bar (?) But to be honest, its easier to keep straight and with a bit more practice this might not even be needed for the occasional project use it will get.

It was a good price, so ordered one
I have an old black and decker jigsaw. I wanted to upgrade and was reading reviews of this. It was a good price, so ordered one. Quick delivery and I needed to cut out a heart shape from a piece of pine. The pine was 19mm thick and the saw did a lovely job. It was smooth and using it showed me just how much vibration the old one had. The blower works great leaving a nice clear path to follow. The quick blade change works great. I had no problems fitting and removing blade. The variable speed is on the trigger which gives nice control. Also on the side you can change the angle of the blade and on the forward setting the blade cuts the quickest, although you will get more tear out. You can angle the base as normal for angled cuts. As others have said it would be nice for a light but in saying that its not big deal. Great saw I have lots of bosch power tools and with that comes quality...

Easy to use for an avid DIY'er
I am no expert, I have not used anything more expensive but I am reviewing this and not comparing. I think this jigsaw is nicely balanced, you don't get any pain using it and it cuts straight if you don't push it too hard. It cuts angles, but this takes some practice and you can attach it to a hoover which makes it a lot easier to use and keep clean. The splinter guard is a nice idea and the cut guide is quite effective too. There is a little case under the main part which holds some extra blades. I suppose with so many things it depends on what blades you buy for it. If anyone has some ideas about which blades are good for this or maybe good value for money please feel free to post below, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. I bought this on a deal for my Dad as well and I recommend it, hasn't let me down yet, but I don't use it everyday.

Check the power requirements
Works good but the posting didn’t say it was set up for 230V, I did use it plugged into 120V and it worked find. I bought it to use with the Bosch saw station.

Very Good Producte
A powerful and practical device for information with a power of 530 watts, and not as it is written in the description 350 watts I think a typo and I would recommend it.
