Casio Gents 52.00mm Solar Watch with Grey Analogue - Digital dial and Black Rubber Strap Strap GAW-100G-1AER

Got this watch to compliment my g shock awg m100 which is still going strong from 2013. Have worn it showering/swimming and diving and it hasn't missed a beat. It's a bit bigger and gold vs grey/silver. Better visibility of hands/dials at night with a much better light and luminous hands. During the day less so as digits on black background but it looks the real business. The old one is tradional black lcd on light background. I just love the radio controlled accuracy and solar charging making it next to maintenance free bar exposure to light/signal. The only downside is learning how to set things up - would recommend short notes on your smartphone. I also have a smart watch but fed up constantly having to recharge at bedside. Fantastic value and really robust. Highly recommended. If you don't like gold you can get the black version for less currently.

Already have the same watch with silver trim. One piece of advice re time setting, (I tried it this time as instructions on set up aren’t that clear), before doing anything else, go to the section re setting home city, in my case London, and set that FIRST!! I did that this time and everything just set itself. As for the watch, the light on this is the best on any Casio, fully lighting the complete face. The reverse display on the digital on the gold trim is not quite as easy to read at times as the normal display on the silver, but with auto light set this alleviates any problems. Being able to move the hands at the push of a button, so that you can clearly see digital display, then pushing the same button to return the hands to time position, means that no more will you have to struggle to see the stopwatch running time, etc. when hands are at a quarter to the hour. A classy looking watch with all the benefits of the G-shock range.

Typical G shock ruggedness, big and bold. The gold colour isn't so bright in real life which is good as looks more natural than tacky. I bought this particular model on the back of the reviews on how good the light is and it is excellent. This is by far the best light I've had on a watch, it makes reading it in the dark very easy it also helps that the gold hour markers are quite reflective too. The hands have a decent lumen coating too so again reading the time just from them is easy. The set up is straight forward and similar/same to most G shocks. I've not had to use the alarms yet nor the time zone change functions so can't comment. The only thing that has proved to be an issue is the handbook, as the writing is tiny and I struggle even with reading glasses on (hence needing a bright light).

Having owned a number of Casio G shock watches and always wanted onethat was solar powered and atomic clock accuracy, i chose this one.The module No.5444 is from 2017 and it's showing it's age.Compared to newer models, it takes a long time to charge to full capacityand the setting up is not easy.I downloaded the full user manual, the enclosed booklet is way too fine printto read in comfort.One point that i found a bit of an issue is the size of the case, it is hugeand is a bit too big for my wrist.Excellent watch which needs a more modern module.

A bit complicated to set up by reading the manual, however youtube Watch Geek gets you through the whole watch effortlessly. The digital dials are tough to see out of the light but ok during daylight. Light, sturdy good to see the analogue watch, tough, water proof, great dual time and world time - which is all what i was looking for.

It’s a very good looking watch, so comfortable I sometimes forget I’m wearing it. Easy to set up and very accurate, thanks to the radio controlled time keeping. I build playgrounds and treehouses for a living and it’s been bashed and survived.I have yet to dive to 200m with but if it can survive bath times I’m sure it will be fine.My sons even like it so it must good.Stop wondering and buy it, you won’t regret it.

I bought this a while back but it has been excellent, solid and accurate time keeping. The manual is too small best to set it up via an online manual or youtube video. I Find the digital readouts are hard to see properly in daylight. It would be nice if the hands were more luminous as the backlight is fiddly to use.

Personally I found it a swine to set up but once I got there I absolutely love it. Fits nicely, looks good. Even with the lack of Scottish sun it stays charged. Cant comment on the waterproofing as I won't swim with a watch on!!
