ACRYLC GLUE? Read here for instructions!
It really works, and wellI I could just leave a few word comment but I did have a positive result with this (eventually) and thought to share what happenedSo first of this product is Tensol 12, manufactured by Bostik, it's a liquid stored in a metal container, the liquid itself is an Acrylic monomer and polymer base that is suspended within a solvent. So unlike other glues, that add a chemical which, say like superglue attempt to grab both surfaces and hold them together, this tensol 12 actually fuses the two surfaces together (Acrylic, Plexiglas, Perspex®) by softening the joint and binding the plastic together. Now this was the first time I tried to "glue" acrylic properly, granted in the past I had tried to use regular superglue but it either turns the joint white or just causes lots of micro cracks, but always fails.I had tried two methods that I had seen on YouTube of how to do this and using this I would recommend using the pin method. (go check it out)The following points I feel are important instructions you won't get suppliedIt is designed to bond cast acrylic/perspex as it is.You can also use it to bond extruded acrylic/perspex if you bake the parts in an oven for 1 hour at 80'c and then allowing it to cool back to room temperature, this process is called annealing. Before you use Tensol 12, you will need to keep it in a fridge for 12 hours at a temperature between 5'c to 10'c, this keeps the solvent within the adhesive for longer during use, making for a stronger bondBelow is some information from the manufacturer:DESCRIPTIONTensol 12 is a single component, solvent based adhesive consisting of acrylic monomer and polymer dissolved in solvent for the bonding of acrylic sheet for interior use only. Tensol 12 hardens as the solvent evaporates depositing polymer in the joint. The solvent also softens the surfaces being joined so that they fuse together, hardening as the solvent migrates into the body material.RECOMMENDED USETensol 12 is designed for the bonding of cast acrylic sheet intended for interior use only. Extruded acrylic sheet can be used if it is suitably annealed prior to bonding. Tensol 12 must not be used with Perspex ME, SW or AG grades and is not suitable for laminating sheets. Typical bond strengths are 24 MPa for a cold cured joint and 30 MPa for a post cured joint.METHOD OF USEBefore using Tensol 12 store the adhesive at 5 to 10'C for 12 hours to reduce solvent evaporation between applying the adhesive and assembling the parts. Dispense the adhesive from a small polythene bottle fitted with a wide bore hypodermic needle that has also been refrigerated.Surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry and dust free. If necessary they can be cleaned with petroleum ether or white spirit then washed with water. Extruded or machined parts should be annealed before bonding to prevent stress cracking . Annealing is carried out by heating the parts to 80 to 85OC for 1 hour then allowing them to cool slowly to room temperature .Tensol 12 has limited gap filling ability so surfaces to be joined should be close fitting. The solvent in Tensol 12 may cause soluble colorants to migrate. If colour is important check for any migration by making a small test joint first.Dispense the refrigerated cement directly into the joint using a suitable dispenser. It is best to do this in one smooth motion to avoid any bubbles or voids in the bondline.Joints will be set sufficiently to be handled after 3 hours but must not be machined for at least 24 hours after bonding. Maximum bond strength is reached in 3 weeks at room temperature but, for most applications, 1 to 2 weeks should be adequate. To obtain the maximum strength more rapidly the bond can be left for 24 hours then post cured for 8 hours at 80'C.

Glue is great but be careful using it.
This is a good glue for bonding Acrylic. The cooler the glue is the longer the working time (but only by a few mins if that). I have made an Acrylic display case 300x300x125 with little fuss as long as the clamping is set up first as you have little time once the glue is applied.BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS PRODUCT. It is one of the worst glues I have used for vapours and health etc.

Blamed for causing cancer.
Great product, very strong.Downside, on the bottle it warns this product has been blamed for causing cancer. Think this should be highlighted before purchasing.Fast dispatch from supplier.

otherwise it is good.
You need time to let it do the job so dont be in a rush, otherwise it is good.

Stuck some perspex instantly. This stuff is fairly dangerous ...
Stuck some perspex instantly. This stuff is fairly dangerous though, so wear gloves, mask and goggles - and do it outside if you can.

This means that to make a good joint your plastic needs to be flat and clean
This is the correct stuff for bonding acrylic. People having issues I suspect aren't using this correctly. Below are a few pointers ....

Disappointed and Nearly Choked to Death!!!
Tried using it to bond Perspex case for a electronic project. Unfortunately it near enough choked me to death with the fumes, so much so, I had to leave the room!
