I picked this speaker based on some youtube reviews and also the price. For £17 there was not much to lose.Sound quality is decent, it has incredibly good bass for this size and class of speaker, I have it on my desk next to my laptop and I can feel the bass through the desk quite easily. Where it lacks is up top, there is not enough treble at lower volumes. It does get better all round when the volume is cranked up. Overall, I'm very impressed at this price point and completely overshadows the Kitsound boombar+ I wanted to replace.Build quality is fantastic. It feels like a premium product with flush joins of all the materials and a very nice textured rubber feel. The buttons on top are embossed although this does not really serve any purpose as you cannot see what each button is for unless in bright light. I wish they were coloured a little.Battery life... this is where it does not do so well. I manage 3-4 hours maximum at quite a low volume on my desk with music playing. However, perhaps this is to do with the amount of bass it produces. Given the weight I would have expected more battery life to be honest. It weighs approx 500g.Features: It has a few features and also lacks a few. It can act as handsfree for your phone. It has volume buttons. Features it lacks are being able to act as a powerbank for charging phones etc, although this is not as common as it should be. It could also have had prev/next buttons, these work with most phones at least. A battery level indicator would have been the icing on the cake, similar to what Dell laptops have.

Check them out.I bought this TaoTronics Pulse X speaker to use with my Amazon Echo Dot in my kitchen.This is plenty loud enough for my kitchen. The sound fills the room.The quality of the sound is excellent - especially when you consider the low price.No distortion when on full volume either.Easy to connect to via bluetooth. Also includes a 3.5 mm male to male jack lead - very useful.Looks and feels well built.I don't know how long the battery lasts as I keep it plugged into the mains via an old phone charger.Considering the price (£25) I think this speaker is well worth it. And I would recommend it.Very happy with this purchase.And, no I didn't receive this item free, or at a reduced price.Hope this was of some use.

Just love this little speaker, easy to connect via Bluetooth or using just the cables supplied. Compared to other speakers in the price range this little guy is great. Nice feel to the Pulse X with the rubberised finish ( buy the case to protect the finish )Good sound and base tones. Had mine for 6 months no problems at all. Cant go wrong for the money.

In terms of sound quality, it does sound a bit covered comparing to a bit higher priced speakers. There is decent bass and treble at higher than half volumes, the mid might be a bit more than I would like. Does not distort much at the highest volumes. It plays Jazz and Orchestral music quite nicely. I also enjoy listening to relaxing mellow music with it being in a corner of the room, which gives it a little bit boost for low frequencies. For 20ish of GBP, it is one of the best sounding speakers I have ever listened to.Unfortunately, I had to return my unit due to QC issues. The problem I had with the speaker was that over Bluetooth it produces this statics like sound (like the aux cable is unplug type of sound although not so loud) every time the music comes to pause or even during a speech (in a film) when someone pauses before continuing with the next sentence. This became irritating for me.This BT sync problem becomes apparent with one of bluetooth sync test clips that can be found on youtube. In that the speaker did not play the click at all, but gave this static sound instead.If you are lucky with a good unit. I think it is a keeper as it is so cheap now.

Very good sound from quite a small item. The inevitable sound they all make when you switch them on is far more bearable than the other one I bought. I overlooked the fact it didn't support SD or memory cards - my fault. Battery life seems to be very good. As others have reported, pressing the button to increase or decrease the volume can be a little tricky but just needs getting used to Went down in price just after I bought it, making it even better value.

I had high hopes for this speaker because of all of the good reviews but was disappointed when I got it as the music is just too distorted and fuzzy… There was no clarity whatsoever to any of the audio that I was playing using the speakers so for me this made this product pretty much unusable. Doesn't really matter what level the volume is set at the audio was just very poor quality all round.UPDATE: 01/06/2017I have now upped my initial 1 star rating to a 3 star rating because the customer care provided by the seller (Sunvalleytek-UK Customer Care) was 2nd to none. They contacted me & arranged a replacement without me even requesting one but personally I still think these speakers are fuzzy and distorted however my mum says that she didn't think there was anything wrong with it and that the sound was nice so hence the additional stars… If my rating was only connected to the customer service care that I received then I would have given 5 stars easily for it.

Worked well for a few weeks. Great sound. But then it started not charging properly. Now it won't work at all. It just keeps bleeping. Can't switch it off!
