In addition, the unit I received wasn't powerful enough, the staples only went halfway into soft pine wood. It was to replace a Power Devil electric unit which sat in my cupboard for a couple of years before I pulled it out to do this job. It literally fell to bits - the internal screw threads fracturing and the casing bursting open.Despite being a do it yourself tool the Tacwise appears robust enough. Has a nice hook. The safety switch is set in the wrong position and is too easily moved - locking the machine. In 2015/16 I bought a Tacwise Duo35 (not from Amazon). After using it for a short while (an hour) it failed to fire. It was replaced and the second one failed similarly and was returned. I was sent a 3rd unit which went the same way. As a replacement I opted for a different model a Duo 50. Unfortunately by then I had no need for a nail gun and it is still in its box and I don’t know if it will fail the same as the others when it is required.Two years on I had to repair a chair seat cover and my heavy duty manual stapler would have sufficed but I felt it would be easier to put in a hundred or so staples if I used an electric stapler. Putting previous experience of Tacwise to the very back of my mind and crossing my fingers I bought a EL140 (see para 2 below). After using a single strip of staples there was a rattling noise from inside the stapler like a screw had come loose. There was no option but to return it for a refund. I was lucky to have it fail early as it may have been just out of the guarantee period. I have learnt my lesson now with Tacwise – quality testing is not a strong point.2. As I try to buy the best I thought that as the Tacwise 1285 with the bundle was £63.74 and £36.29 more than buying the next one down - a 140EL at £27.45, the Tacwise 1285 would be a more powerful machine and a better buy. It turned out the ‘Tacwise 1285’ not a different, stronger tool, it is just the name for a 140EL with bundled items which if all the items were bought separately on Amazon it would cost £43.55. How Amazon and Tacwise can charge some £20 more just to put this ‘kit’ together is beyond me. Es sind auch keine Adapter dabei und extra kaufen möchte ich auch nicht. Anderes Kabel wäre noch eine Option, allerdings ist dann die Garantie futsch. I punti più lunghi spesso devono essere ribattuti con il martello sul compensato o sul multistrati, ma quelli più corti non creano problemi. Il filo è piuttosto corto, quindi meglio munirsi subito di una prolunga adeguata. Avevo acquistato in precedenza una sparapunti manuale, non c'è paragone, meglio la Tacwise sotto ogni punto di vista, con quella manuale bisognava fare una gran fatica per \"sparare\" ogni punto, invece con questa basta toccare appena il pulsante e fa tutto da sola!
