Loud, proud, battery backup too
These work well if you want a smart home based basic alarm system to deter would be thieves by making a lot of noise. Your system won't be as robust as a propper system from e.g. yale but will be cheaper and do a good enough job for most people. Battery backup means they'll keep going off even if disconnected so make sure you have your automation set up well and a way of disabling them if they go off by mistake. I came home and forgot the alarm was set.. my phone was out of battery so I had to get it on a charger with these going off to turn the alarm off! Now we have a keypad.

Great little siren
This works well. Been using it for several months now. Had a lot of use and its still going strong. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because you cannot change the siren sound easily. You will have to programmatically do it and at the end of the day, you will give up like i did.Its a loud siren for indoors. I feel like I need to have 2 (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs) for it to be really effective. I got 2 outdoor z-wave sirens to add to this. This siren will scare an intruder off and wake you up when there is an event. Your next door neighbour will hear it but it won't wake them up. I have mine also set up to beep when someone comes close to the back or side of my house. I highly recommend this siren

Great product. Well recommended. Buy a EU to UK adaptor.
Well made siren, works well with Samsung SmartThings. Can be set as a door alert, house alarm, motion alert and many other things when connected to a smart hub.Has a good volume level and can be heard clearly throughout the house(depending on size and location).Connected to SmartThings hub quickly and easily and can now be sent actions from IFTTT(If This Then That) and many other smart apps.It also has battery back up if you lose power or is unplugged for a short time.Only issue i had was the fact it only comes with a EU plug and no adaptor (thats why i give it 4 stars and not 5), so make sure you buy a EU to UK adaptor if you order this product.

Easy and quick to pair and setup with my smartthings ...
I gave 4 stars because it doesn't come with UK adapter. Otherwise it does exactly what it suppose to do. Easy and quick to pair and setup with my smartthings system, it took about 5 min to have a complete alarm system that actually gives you a physical solid feedback on what's going on (not a tiny beep on your smart phone that you may or may not hear or notice). One thing needs to be mentioned, there no way you can select or change the sound of the siren on smartthings. I installed my siren in a very difficult to access place! Just in case the intruder wanted to try shutting it down. Final word: it is must have thing

Ok depending what your use is.
Very disappointed that it came with a euro 2 prong connection when ordered via Amazon UK. Luckily I had an old adaptor lying around. The siren itself is not what I would call a siren. It is more like a long never ending beep (sounds like my smoke alarm to be honest), than a siren. It works fine, it is too loud to be in the same room for more than a minute or so ( same loudness as a smoke alarm). I can hear it around the house, but not sure anyone of my neighbours would hear it or take any notice. An easy way to stop it is to unplug it. I have it connected via Zwave door sensors to my 2 sheds. So if anyone was to attempt entry to my sheds during the night it would go off. Also using it as a garden gate entry beeper, using another Zwave sensor. So it is perfect for my needs, but if you want to use it for a burglar alarm look elsewhere.

EU siren gen5 UK customer.
Item arrived (ordered yesterday exactly as the picture shows)As everyone has said AND the picture clearly shows this is an EU plug siren v5.On the box it says 105db, with a sound meter it registers 104.7db (its an INDOOR siren, you don't want it to be louder you will deafen yourself)So first its EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED.Connects in seconds to samsung smartthings and can even be turned on and off by amazon echo! (as she see's it through smartthings(mobile) app.hub v2.You CANNOT use it on its own, you will need a sensor, a system or hub of some kind (most are using smartthings hub) and to set it to have events.Dont think we are allowed to put links in reviews, but surely amazon can edit a review and add a link to their own stock of compatible EU - UK adapters. Its a good product and is ideal for use indoors to alert you of an issue.

Works eventually, but way over-priced
Bought to use with Smartthings. Took a lot of fiddling to get this to be recognised by the controller. Once recognised it works, but the 5 sounds are all pretty similar, and the volume isn’t any more than a normal smoke alarm. As an internal alert it’s ok, but I don’t see it as a home security device at all. Way over priced.

US plug so you will need an adapter.
The one that arrived for me was a US version so has a US plug - the item description should me this clear or it should come with an adapter I think. It works with Smart things (although it's a US plug it uses the UK frequency) but in the SmartThings app you make have to go to the Hub > Z wave utilities > exclude device from network and the press the button on the top of it. Then "add a thing" as normal and press the button once on the top of the siren. The support article in the SmartThings app explains it too. It's pretty loud when it goes off but isn't loud enough that the neighbours would hear it if you are away. The 3 stars is for the description not stating it is a US version.
