If your looking at the Focal brand then you more than likely know that they never fail to impress you. In every car i have had over the years always built a big soundstage. So i wanted to do a new full build in my old Peugeot 205 now back in the day it would have been a set of components up front some 6 x 9 speakers on the parcel shelf and a subwoofer in the boot. This time round i went over the top in every department so before i knew it i brought a Subwoofer but instead of buying one with an active enclosure. i brought the speaker based on the volume level i wanted and what HZ the majority of my music is. I was in for a shock because when i worked out the internal size needed i quickly realised that i would have very little boot space left. I had just enough room to mount my amp the the resonance and frequencies are huge in my little car. So that also meant that if i went down the old route of 6x9 speakers in the rear shelf they would be pretty much useless. Now i very rarely drive with people in the back of the car. And to be honest i built the stereo for me not others. So i brought a set of Focal components and fitted the tweeters to the a posts, and there very close to you as a driver the clarity and quality is fantastic. I fitted the mids in the stock locations on the front door. But still had a spare set of speaker cables from my HU to use. So i saw these for sale and decided to make some spacers so that i could also fit these in the front door. So now my soundstage is where i need it so after setting up some time delay and giving the settings a tweak i was blown away by the clarity and the volume. I can go as far as saying it's my best build to date. And when ever i get a passenger they always ask what brands im using and like me are astounded by how loud you can have it but also hear every note in a level of detail you never knew was there.
