Lovely instrument once you bring it to a Violin specialist to fix the issues that comes with it. I would not buy from them again because I should not have to spend more money on product to get it to where it should've been in the first place.

Giving this a 5 star because in my opinion positives exceeds the negatives in this product.The Good:- Well made, quality material used, comes with a preamplifier that produces quality sound.- Comes with playable strings. I wasn't sure if the strings were actually Octeva Perlon, as these had come preinstalled and without their packing. Changed over to another reputed brand but soon switched back to these strings as these sound better and are very responsive. I do want to believe that these are Octeva Perlon - super sensitive strings.- Finger board is a solid block, not hanging like many others and therefore less prone to damage or breakage.The Bad:- LOUD! LOUD! LOUD! - it is not silent! When they say put on the headphones and play in silence- JUST LAUGH OUT LOUD because the whole house hears you play.- Heavy- The back design does not allow shoulder rests to be fitted without a daily drama or incidence. I opted to modify the shoulder rest rather than the violin to allow it to fit on the violin. Without a shoulder rest, its design and the weight makes this violin unplayable in a western style hold. It will not bother though if one plays using the Hindustani or the Karnataki hold (violin placed upside down and wedged between your chest and feet)The Ugly:- My violin had 4 dots marked on the surface with the colour chipped off due to the tailpiece metal clips striking on it during transit. Someone was careless enough so as not to put a packing under the tailpiece. I kept the violin as it was in a perfectly new and playable condition, except for these markings- Bow was rubbish. Hair was bunched to one side and some of it was strung lose so they slid at a different pace to the rest resulting a lagging note- Rosin is a pack of powder. Buy this for the actual violin and the case, throw away and replace the rest, still worth the price!

This is my third review, which is an update on the fault mentioned in my last. I eventually found a replacement battery/preamp unit on Amazon for under £20. Although this is not from the original and not a perfect fit, it sort of fits into the space and does a very creditable job. Hence I am playing and plugging in again this very good instrument.

I would not recommend this product, the sound through the headphones is poor and parts are impossible to get hold of. ..i have a broken bridge and it looks as though i won't be a able to replace it. ..so it is now just an expensive door stop :-(

the violin itself is great, it makes a great sound once it has been tuned. i find it really light to hold and it sit nicely in my shoulder.I have to admit that if this is your first violin, then it does require some setting up and it DOES NOT come with a guide to help you set it up. (setting up includes: bridge, strings, bow ect).the reason i did not give it 5 stars is the fact it does not include instructions, the delivery was slow and mainly to do with the handling of how it was sold. he violin itself is great tho.

I'm not a violin player but play lots of other stringed instruments. I was expecting to have to set this up after reading the reviews but I found it impossible to keep it in tune. I used the widely known techniques to to improve the tuning stability but the quality is just too poor for it to be playable. It's such a shame as it's a great package and an impressive looking instrument but alas I didn't get as far as plugging it in and decided to return.

All I wanted and a real bargain! Build quality and sound great! All I have to do now is to consider why I might need two!

So I got vouchers for Christmas and decided after having played an acoustic violin for a number of years that I would treat myself to an electric one! I chose this one as I liked the look of the body and the case.Originally, however, this violin was only available through DJM Music.... so I purchased it through them.... they were awful. they kept telling me they were waiting for stock even though amazon and DJM's websites said it was in stock. then when I phoned them they assured me it would be sent the next day.... so I phoned back to confirm this was the case.. nooooo... some idiot had decided to cancel my order. I then found it was available directly through amazon so I placed my order with them instead and received the violin two days later! :-) however, I did take it to a luthier to have it set up as the bridge, strings and fine tuners were separate. And the luthier had to file down the nut as it was too high.I now have the instrument fully functional and it is lovely. the strings that it comes with are cheap ones and you can tell the difference when all you have played with is dominant strings!So the instrument itself is able to be played through headphones which is good for practicing.The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is purely because of the problems with ordering it and that I had to pay someone to set it up properly.Due to the fact that DJM cancelled my order, it meant I was never able to give them a review.... well here it is 0/5 POOR SERVICE. DO NOT USE THEM. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!But buy this violin as it is amazing value for money!

Die Geige war kaputt. Eine Lötstelle hatte sich gelöst. Ich konnte aber keinen Retourschein finden. Folglich musste ich mich um die Reparatur kümmern, was mich 30 Euro gekostet hat, und wodurch ich natürlich meinen Garantieanspruch verloren habe. Jetzt ist es allerdings eine perfekte Geige, was hoffentlich so bleibt, jedoch mit einem völlig indiskutablen Bogen.

Es mi primer violín eléctrico y estoy satisfecho. Lo compré para practicar por las noches y cumple con su cometido. La salida de auriculares un poco baja de volumen, pero se soluciona con un amplificador de auriculares.

Ich habe die Geige vor rund einem Jahr gekauft. Aktuell hängt sie bei mir im Studio an der Wand und sieht hübsch aus :)Gekauft hatte ich sie, um auch im Wohnzimmer etwas leiser üben zu können (spiele normalerweise auf einer hochwertigen, akustischen Geige -aber wegen der Lautstärke nur im Studio, da die Wohnung zu hellhörig ist).Nun zur Geige selbst;Natürlich kann man für diesen Preis kein High-End Produkt erwarten. Das Gewicht ist enorm, beinahe doppelt so schwer wie eine hochwertige Akustik-Violine. Zum Klang der Saiten kann ich nicht viel sagen, da die A- und E-Saiten bereits beim ersten Stimmen mit den mitgelieferten Feinstimmern (!) gesprungen sind.Mit den neuen Saiten hat sie einen guten Klang. Die Verarbeitung bzw. das verwendete Material der Wirbel und der Schnecke ist leider insofern nicht so hoch, dass sich die Geige sehr schnell wieder verstimmt.den integrierten Abnehmer gut ausgegeben (3.5er oder 6.35er-Anschluss) wird. Starke Störsignale der Elektronik habe ich bislang nicht bemerkt.Leider passt mein herkömmliches Schulterpolster nicht richtig auf die E-Geige, was das Spielen noch schwieriger macht.Zum Bogen:Der Bogen ist echt ein Witz. Nachdem man die Haare mit dem mitgelieferten Kolofonium bearbeitet hat, bekommt man zwar einen Ton von den Saiten, wirklich zufriedenstellend ist er meiner Meinung nach aber nicht.Beim Spannen des Bogens löst sich bei mir immer der Frosch ein wenig weg. Habe den Bogen daher einmal auseinander genommen und musste feststellen, dass das entsprechende Gewinde nicht mehr rund sondern bereits oval ist. Daher wurde wohl ein zu weiches Material verwendet. Die Wicklung (Ablage für Zeigefinger) ist zudem auch etwas lose und fühlt sich daher unangenehm an.

Habe mir das gerät erst vor kurzem geholt bin Anfänger . Von der Verarbeitung ist das gerät in Ordnung und der Umfang der dabei ist ist auch so weit ok . Auser die Kopfhörer die sind fürn Arsch habe zum glück selber welche . aber Silent ist was anderes hehe und ich empfehle gleich noch paar Ersatz seiten zu bestellen die erste ist beim stimmen gleich Gerissen . Besttelt auch gleich noch ein Stimmgerät mit was nicht zu billig ist und ne deutsche Anleitung hat .

Vorweg ein Lob an die wirklich rasante Standardlieferung! 14 Stunden nach Bestellaufgabe war die Geige schon in meinen Händen!Nun zur Geige selbst.Ich muss vorweg sagen, dass ich absoluter Anfänger bin, keinen Lehrer dafür habe und im Großen und Ganzen noch nicht wirklich viel Ahnung von Geigen habe.Ich habe mich für dieses Modell entschieden, da mir die günstigeren E-Violinen vom Design und von der Verarbeitung nicht sonderlich zugesagt haben. (Habe bisher noch nicht viel gutes über die Modelle im 60-200 Euro Bereich gelesen).Sicher ist man mit 350,- Euro auch nicht im High End bereich... aber wozu sollte man das als Anfänger brauchen?Nun aber zu meinen ersten Erfahrungen, nachdem ich die Geige heute erhalten habe.Die Verarbeitung ist rundum gut. Der Lack sauber aufgetragen und ohne Kratzer und Dellen.Die Saiten waren bereits zwischen Halterung und Wirbel vorgespannt.Anfangs dachte ich, die Brücke fehlt. Habe sie dann jedoch in Papier eingewickelt unter dem Saitenhalter gefunden.Also die Spannung rausgenommen und die Brücke eingesetzt.Doch nachdem ich über 2 Stunden vergeblich versucht habe die Geige zu stimmen viel mir auf, dass die Feinstimmer gar nicht montiert waren!Diese liegen in einer gesonderten Kunststofftüte in dem Zubehörfachs des wirklich angenehmen Koffers.Nach ein bisschen Recherche im Internet habe ich herausgefunden, wie die Feinstimmer zu montieren sind. Einer der Drehköpfe ist bei mir leider etwas verbogen geliefert worden. Aber das tut der Sache keinen Abbruch, da die Funktionalität dadurch nicht beeinflusst wird.Wie dem auch sein. Die Feinstimmer waren dann schnell montiert und nun ging auch das Stimmen der Saiten wesentlich problemloser vonstatten.Was ich jedoch nicht verstehe, ist dass bei diesen E-Geigen oft dabei steht "Flüsterleise" oder "Geräuschloses Üben"...Das ist definitiv Blödsinn. Diese Geigen haben natürlich auch einen eigenen Klang. Auch ohne Verstärker. Sicher ist dieser leiser als bei einer Konzertvioline/Geige, aber man kann es dennoch gut hören. Man sollte als Anfänger also die Fenster lieber geschlossen halten, bis man dieses Instrument einigermaßen beherrscht :DDer Bogen wiegt angenehm zwischen den Fingern und ist, meines Erachtens, nicht zu schwer, oder zu leicht.Hier musste man nur das Kolofonium kurz anrauhen und auf die Haare des Bogens anwenden.Bei dem Etui (Koffer) ist die Innenseite, wie auf dem Produktbild zu sehen, in Blau gehalten. Es liegt auch eine kleine "Decke" bei, die über die Geige gelegt wird. Zudem sind zwei Trageriemen beigelegt. Ich weiß zwar nicht, warum zwei, aber egal.Es liegt auch ein Instrumentenkabel bei (3 auf 6mm mono-klinke). Der Kopfhörer klappert direkt nach der Entnahme. Doch das ist für mich keinesfalls ein Kriterium. Da ich, wenn, eh meine eigenen In-Ear Hörer nutze.Hier noch mal eine Zusammenfassung:Inhalt:- Koffer- Violine- Brücke- 4 Feinstimmer gesondert in einer Tüte- Bogen- Kolofonium- Instrumentenkabel- Kopfhörer- Tragegurte- Decke für die ViolineAlles in Allem bin ich auf den ersten Blick und die erste kleine Melodie, die ich geschafft habe, sehr mit dieser Geige zufrieden und kann sie bedenkenlos empfehlen.Was ich bisher, auf Grund fortgeschrittener Stunde noch nicht getestet habe, ist der integrierte Tonabnehmer.Das kommt dann jetzt die Tage noch.Der eine Stern Abzug kommt daher, dass nicht mal Ansatzweise eine Anleitung bei lag... Wenn man also davon keine Ahnung hat muss man sich anderweitig Literatur oder Informationen aus dem Internet besorgen, um der Geige einen vernünftigen Ton entlocken zu können!Von mir gibt es dennoch eine eindeutige Kaufempfehlung für diejenigen, die mit der Geige anfangen wollen und nicht gleich zwei mal kaufen wollen.
