Recommended study aid for CISSP
A really useful guide. I used it to check my understanding of the CISSP domains and to guide my revision and study. It doesn't replace the CISSP CBK (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Official-Guide-CISSP-Third-Press/dp/146656976X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1419348688&sr=8-1&keywords=cissp+cbk) - and it's not intended to either - but gives short, concise summaries of the main topics. Use it in conjunction with the CISSP CBK and you'll get a thorough grounding in the knowledge expected of a CISSP.I used it to pass my CISSP (first time!) and would recommend it to anyone who is either thinking about becoming certified or studying.Adrian Davis, FBCS CITP, CISSP

One of the better CISSP books. Well put together. Recommend everyone reads this book first
Excellent book! Well constructed, easy reading, please to read. You won't pass your CISSP with this book, but it'll get you closer to passing very quickly.I highly recommend this book as your FIRST read if you're embarking on the CISSP. When you've read it from start to finish, read it again. Once you've done this, then you can move on to the Shon Harris book

Condensed learning
Excellent condensed book. I read this the two weeks before my exam ..... and passed. It contains the facts you need to know at the right level (for me anyway) Not too much detail that makes it boring to read.

Excellent review. Read and study what's in the book ...
Excellent review. Read and study what's in the book the week before the exam. I read and studied two chapters per day the week before taking the exam. This book has several tips on answering questions which none of the other books or CISSP instructors covered. The price of the book was worth it just of the tips and tricks for memorizing information which was asked on the exam. This information contained in this version of the book is completely relevant for the changes made to the exam in April of 2015. I purchased the Shon Harris book and found it contained way too much historical information which is irrelevant for the exam and for industry. I could see it being useful if you goal was to be a computer history museum curator. Over three quarters of the book dealt with technology that hasn't been used in over a decade. Some of the chapters contained detailed information on technology that was over 25 year old. Why?I passed first try. As everyone says the exam doesn't go into a lot of depth, but you do have to know a lot. The "new" exam (2015) has only changed 4% which means they only changed 9 or 10 questions.I used the CISSP for Dummies book as my primary reference and would do it again. BUT don't use it as your only reference. This book covered topics which were on the exam the Dummies book didn't even discuss.Best way to prepare is to read topics in the Dummies Book and use Bing searches to find material to study. Do this for a month or two before taking the exam. Then read and study from this book the week before the exam.Good luck.

Excellent Reading!
This is an excellent book. But be advised, this is not a book where you go for "learning" stuff...this is the book you go for reviewing. That book you read 1 or 2 days before the test.I took the test last week, and read this book for reviewing the content of the test...and passed. It's worth it.PS.: I took the test on April 13th, before the change.

good reading summary
Easy reading, enough level of details in comparison of the size book. Good fit as an additional reading. It is part of my overall preparation sources.
