A Problem Solver How did you come up with the idea for this product? Our team loves coffee, but water was something we just forgot about. And we were starting to show – we felt low energy, lots of complaining about headaches, we had hard time focusing, non-stop exhaustion …you name it. After a while we’ve realized we have one thing in common – we all forgot to make the simplest thing ever – pick up our bottles and make sips of water. So we decided to dig deeper in this issue and we realized we are not alone. And the rest is history.:) What makes your product special? Ulla looks like a very simple product, but behind the casing you will find motion, ambient light and temperature sensors, a microcontroller and power management circuit. Ulla’s creators followed principles of human centric technology to perform the best user experience and results in solving a specific problem of forgetting to drink enough water on a workplace. The best part was implementation of a market research and evaluation the importance of the issue Ulla is solving. We deducted a survey on more than 120.000 people all over the world and more than 60 % confessed they do not drink enough water during the day. They simply forget to, because they are too busy. We held more than 100 interviews with people who have this issue to try to understand psychological background why people just don’t lift their glasses. And finally the best experience was that we created a group of 100 people that were working with us on Ulla and its features and who eventually become true Ulla believers.
