Beware of skin reactions!
This is the first problem I've had with the silicone version and I'm wondering whether they are using a different material than previous (earlier) productions....I have a leather blue strap and it's great but after just two days with this green silicone one I've reacted.I must point out that I've worn silicone straps for years, including Barton ones, without issues.

Barton strap is strong and convenient
DeliveryItem did not arrive on first order due to what I was informed was a courier network error, which happened again. Third attempt reordering yielded successful delivery.ProductBarton's QR silicon strap is well illustrated by the listing here. Silicon feels smooth if not a little too soft but generally strong. No tools needed to mount it due to a tiny lever attached to each spring bar that can be used to depress the spring bars by hand. Due to small size (few mms) could be fiddly for larger fingers, but any larger and the QR lever would run the risk of poking out excessively through the inner surface of the bands. The buckle is decent, arriving with a sticker on the outer face to reveal a smooth surface. The buckle could be more polished and even seems to have a few lightly scratched areas on the inside. However, it is by no means flimsy, and I trust it's composition to be of harder varieties of metal than cheap substitutes.Length of strap is good, can accommodate a lot larger wrists than mine.A definite competitor is the Archer QR silicon strap, which I had the pleasure of comparing:Silicon is the same consistency and thickness.QR works in same way and is similar if not identical. The buckle of Archer has the logo inscribed on the inside of the buckle, which along with the fuller shape of the buckle makes for an initially better looking buckle. Buckle also came with a sticker to protect the outer buckle. However, closer inspection reveals the pin of the buckle (on the one I got) was tilted such that the pin was horizontally misaligned with the central groove in the buckle on the Archer. In light of this I have returned it for a refund.Other than this, Barton's USP over its closest competitor is that the inside surface of the strap is textured with a squared pattern of bumps. This gives it a slightly better feel, reflecting that contact between the silicon strap and skin is a bit less of an airtight seal, as with the untextured Archer strap.SummaryOverall Barton strap is strong and convenient. It is similar to it's competitor Archer , with the differences in Bartons's superior buckle quality and textured inside strap and guide loop surfaces. I hope my review helps you decide on your purchase, please feel free to comment if you have any questions regarding this. I have made this my everyday wear strap, so will be able to shed light on most pertinent queries.

Initially okay, but started affecting skin
When it arrived, one of the pins was faulty, not an issue as I just used one from the old strap. The strap looks good and fits well and I can see it lasting well.Unfortunately I appear to be allergic to the strap. I have seen other users saying this too.I don't have sensitive skin, I have worn watches for years without issues. This strap however has caused 'burns' on my skin. These only appeared a few weeks after first use and got worse with time. I clean the strap regularly, and gave my wrist a rest from it and it improved, using the strap again I have marks again and will have to bin the strap and buy a new one unfortunately.

Split Thoughts
Bought this for my Galaxy watch active 2, and my thoughts about are split! The quality of the silicone seems very good, not too much of a lint magnet like the really cheap ones, no horrible smell either. It's quite comfortable and looks very good on my watch, especially along side my Spigen watch cover. I just feel that it doesn't quite fit on my wrist right, I think this is due to the buckle strap being a little bit too short. This means that instead of the buckle sitting in the middle of my inner wrist as it was with the stock band, it's actually sitting too much to one side for my liking. That combined with having to buy the silver buckle because black want wasn't available makes me a bit disappointed. The silver is too visible and it puts me off the strap. I was hoping I'd put this on and be happy but I'm not so I've had to order an alternative. Gutted really as the quality does appear to be present. If it perhaps came with 2 sizes as some do I might of been able to get it to fit as I wanted to.

Orange! Very nice, well made, bright colours
Bought this for my Huawei Watch 2 Classic (22mm) and very pleased with the results. With the dark grey case of the watch and the bright orange strap its very cool. I may even be back to order another colour. Strap is well made and the quick release design is genius -- why hasn't someone come up with this idea sooner??!!! Years of fiddling with watch straps trying to fit them could have been avoided. Very good very happy. 10/10

Good quality, good fit, note that buckle is not black on black band.
Bought (2mm black) to replace my original silicone band from a Pebble Time. The outer surface is smoother/more slippery than the original, but the inner surface is slightly textured so the band doesn't slide around as much.Personally, I like this.I had the black one and it's a little more matte than the original, although it could have become more shiny with use.It fits well, looks good.I usually had my old band on the second hole away from the buckle, but this one fits best with the third hole away. The only down side, and it's my fault really, is that the buckle is natural steel colour, but the original was black.Picture shows BARTON strap next to my Pebble Time with its original strap.

Good quality strap with a nice hidden trick
High quality watch strap, which is impressively easy to fit, thanks to the sliding spring bar system (very clever). This strap misses out a full five star rating because the material encourages the wrist to sweat, resulting in a slightly unpleasant "watch funk" smell after a while. This isn't the end of the world, however, as I've fitted this strap to a water-resistant watch (LG G Watch R), so I can just run it under the tap and give it a wash! The strap comes up like new after a quick rub with soap and water, underlining the overall quality of this item.
