I'm a mechanic and torches are something I use for a couple of hours every working day. As far as I'm concerned this is the best head lamp on the market.LED head lamps have been in common use for a good 5 years now and I've owned quite a few different makes and types. This is the best for the following reasons:-High quality construction.Removable, washable and adjustable head band.High intensity, adjustable beam - flood to spot.The lens unit tilts for fine adjustment to save moving your head all the time.The power pack sits on the back of your head for balance and comfort, other makes have the batteries in the lens unit, this can pull down on your forehead after a couple of hours - very uncomfortable.Should you wish to wear this head torch for cycling there is even a red light on the power pack, showing to the rear to act as a tail light.An excellent piece of kit.

I had to order a replacement as the first one came and wouldn't work when it finally got it out of the rigid plastic packaging (... which isn't for the faint hearted!!) - not sure whether I damaged the 1st one trying to get it out but managed this one and it's working perfectly. I only use it for walking my dogs in the dark - can't imagine it would suit runners or more strenuous activities though as the powerpack which sits at the back of your head is actually quite bulky and keeps slipping down to the base of my head and I'm only walking. I'd say anyone wanting to use it for more strenuous activities should select one with a central strap also to hold it in place. That said it's a great light and suits my use perfectly

Yes, several months on and I DO use this head torch. It's not super-bright, but it is adequate. The battery life is fine, and it seems to give a reasonable light for the whole of the battery life, unlike another LED Lenser head torch I have which fades quickly as the battery is depleted. I usually prefer three-strap head torches for comfort, but this one is light enough. Useful as an extra bike light as it has a little red light on the rear, but it isn't really bright enough to see where you are going at speed. It has just one single brightness setting. In other words it is either on or off and that's it. I quite like that. The angle adjuster is a bit weird and is either a bit too low or a bit too high. Difficult to get it to point exactly where I want it, but I eventually got used to that. It loses a star for the lack of easy adjustment though. Also if I'm picky the beam pattern could be more accurate as it does have a bit of a darker spot in the middle, but most of these things do and it's not extreme or distracting. Simple and effective. No major vices. Recommended. Works well with alkaline or rechargeables.

Falls well short of the functional quality expected on Lenser products based on other products of theirs that I own.Power switch fiddly and impossible to operate whilst wearing gloves.No over the top head-band to support weight so headband needs to be tight to stop the lamp slipping down, leading to headaches after 10 minutes.Vertical beam adjustment limited seemingly to two click positions, not variable so that you can't get the light where it's needed without tilting your head.Light is provided with a neat carrying pouch - except that it's too small for the lamp and headband to properly fit in.On the plus side the finish is not bad.A set of batteries and a spare set are included.You can do better with other products/manufacturers at this price.

One of the best head torches out there, its simple and effective with a good battery life. ive tried a few of the models up but find them to be too heavy and not confirmable after a number of hours

This headtorch has taken me on many fun night-time trail run adventures. Over hill, through the woods, dodging cows and even a possible wild cat sighting. Recommend to light your adventures.

Funciona con 3 pilas AAA incluidas por duplicado ya que el blister permite provar el haz de luz antes de abrirse (y por ello un primer juego de pilas está puesto). El compartimento posterior para las pilas dispone de un led trasero rojo para que te vean por detrás.La potencia del foco concentrado de luz sorprende por la larga distancia que cubre, para ver claramante lo que ocurre a 20 metros. Eso sí, muy focalizado.Comodo de llevar, peso de 130 gr en su conjunto.Se incluye bolsa para cinturon para su transporte cuando no se usa.

Torcia frontale molto ben costruita nella confezione è incluso anche un Borsetto per portarla alla cintura , la potenza e di soli 25 Lumen devo dire ben sfruttati dalla particolare posizione del sistema di lenti che caratterizza questo marchio , sul vano batterie quando la lampada e' in funzione si accende un led rosso che segnala la posizione , prodotto cmq professionale che consiglio visto il prezzo , se avete bisogno di più potenza allora dovete optare per le sorelle maggiori ma salgono ovivamente i prezzi

Je m'en sert pour tout (travail,rando,..) c'est la frontale ajustable qui te permet de s'adapter a tout ! vraiment ce milieu de gamme est top .

Ich nutze diese Lampe vorwiegend beim Nordic Walking.Ich war angenehm überrascht, wie hell die Lampe alles vor mir ausleuchtet.Mit der stufenlosen Focussiereinrichtung lässt sich der Lichtstrahl auf die verschiedenen Geländeanforderungen einfach einstellen. Die drei Positionen bei 0°, 45° und 90° sind meiner Meinung nach absolut ausreichend. Ich verwende vorzugsweise die 45°.Dass sich der Reflektor selbsttätig aus dieser Position verstellt, kann ich nicht bestätigen. Allerdings gibt es bei dieser Sportart auch keine heftigen Stösse, die dazu führen könnten. Wenn ich den Reflektor bewege, tue ich dies vorsichtig.Sehr positiv aufgefallen ist mir, daß entgegenkommende KFZ ausserorts kaum mehr das Fernlicht einschalten bzw. dieses früh abschalten. Das Licht der Lampe muss also hell genug sein, um frühzeitig als "ernstzunehmender" Verkehrsteilnehmer erkannt zu werden.Das Gewicht ist absolut OK, der Sitz der Lampe ist angenehm, man spürt sie kaum. Die Bedienung ist sehr einfach, ebenso die Batteriewechsel. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, wie ich finde.Deshalb mein Fazit: Die H5 ist ein absolut empfehlenswertes Produkt.
