an absolute steal at this price
I love this guitar. It's solid, chunky but beautifully balanced. I wanted a guitar with a rootsy rockabilly look to play music from blues rock to britpop via british invasion and that's what I got. I did not want a fat, ungainly jazzbox (too palm court) nor a double cutaway (too Oasis)1 a delicious acoustic tone. Without amp this is loud enough to play acoustically with friends and has a lovely late 50s wiry sound.2 exquisite workmanship. Delivered in next to no time packaged beautifully by Rich Tone there is not a scratch on this baby.3 I play this with a fender tweed cable and a Vox Pathfinder 10 amp. The sound is incredible, from creamy, brittle cleans via fuzzy buztobnes to outrageous fat crunchy overdrive. The neck and bridge humbuckers give great responsiveness and a whole world of sounds.4 Action is perfect. Low but clear, great for bar chords. Intonation spot on. No need to adjust, no fret buzz, and the mother came out of the box in tune.My mate who is a pro and who repairs guitars said but for top end heads and pickups this is as good as anything twice the price and with the right amp could hold its own with a gibson or a gretch any day of the week.An absolutely cracking semi acoustic at a ludicrous price, under £300!

Loose connection
Never had the opportunity to actually hear the guitar through an amplifier. I bought the guitar for my daughter for her birthday. Its nothing more disappointing then receive broken item. Its shame because I spent few weeks to find something worth to invest in. The item arrived fine. No visible damage on the sturdy box. The surprise happened when connected to combo. Nothing. Checked the body and there were parts moving loose inside the main body....spring and the switch connector... So much for Japanese quality.. Returning the same day... I dont see in my amazon app option to post pictures or video, so sorry this is all

A fantastic guitar
Put Gibson's name on this guitar and you could treble the price. It is beautiful to hold, beautiful to behold and the tone is superb. Some downsides: The front strap button is on the back of the guitar and that makes the guitar seem to fall away from you. A simple fix: put some tape on the front side near the top (where you would expect the button to be), drill a guide hole (the tape stops the drill bit wandering on the laquer) and screw a button in. Luckily I had a spare button. If you don't, you can buy them for next to nothing. I also don't like the plastic tops on the pots so I bought some chromed brass ones that look great. This might sound like a lot of pfaffing around but believe me, this guitar is worth it. Ibanez guitars are the best value for money out there.

excellent
Almost as good as a Gibson for a fraction of the price. Don't know how they do it for the money. Brilliant!

Fantastic, quality guitar, great playability
I'd read the reviews about these for some time and finally snapped one up second hand, which was virtually brand new.Sticking point for me with all guitars is not having great playability, not great action, tightly strung, and lowering the action always resulting in unacceptable buzzing, but NOT with the one i got, easy play fantastic action, and surprisingly sounds great acoustically, with immaculate tuning, it really is a great acoustic, best i've heard, although my Epiphone ES-185 premium was also very good acoustically and plugged in, but i sold it as it just didnt have the playability i want from a guitar, and the ibanez is the one i bought from the EPi sale. Do yourself a favor and change the stock pickups, this guitar is made from quality maple and the rich quality sound it will produce will be unknown to you, using the stock pickups which are basic and dull, i opted for stewmacs Vintage golden parsons alnico 2's, best pickups i've found and i've had many, these pickups are REAL and most natural you'll find, perfect for semi acoustics, which is all i play, totally opened up the sound, i put these pickups in my other recently bought semi's also. I put gold hardware on all my guitars, Gold grover keys from china(Bargain) bigsby clone from usa. I wish the body depth was deeper as it's very narrow for a true full body, but cant argue with the sound quality and thats what counts.Wish they wouldnt put the strap button on back of guitar, i mean, does Anyone actually use it like that?Anyway, just put decent pickups in, anything else is just personal preference, and you have great guitar. I think i'll upload a video to show the sound quality of this, acoustically and with quality pickups, which would have been a great help to me on deciding to get one.
