Monopoly Hasbro Gaming Game Star Wars

Another fun twist on the standard monopoly game where you can buy bases on various planets across the Star Wars galaxy instead of the normal properties. You can play on the side of the rebels (Luke Skywalker/Finn) or the empire (Darth Vader/Kylo Ren) and this will affect what part of the cards you read. The side you choose will also affect the game if there are 4 people playing as players on the same side work partly together, with bonuses like reduced rent. This means it is recommended to play with either 2 or 4 players, although it can still be done with 3. There are also some new spaces on the board: hyperdrive allows you to move forward to any space up to the next hyperdrive and bounty hunter lets you take a property for free. You also can't go bankrupt, so play until or the properties are owned which makes for a pleasantly shorter game. Overall this is a quality product and I would highly recommend it to any Star Wars fans.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my sister who is a huge Star Wars fan. The game is much quicker than the normal version of Monopoly which we found made the game a bit more enjoyable as it didn't last for hours. Overall, it's a very good version of Monopoly & makes a great present for any Star Wars fan!

My 9 year old loves playing this Star Wars version of Monopoly. It's a much quicker game than the original - thank goodness!! There are a couple of things that are not explained properly in the rules - we played the first game and then came up with what we thought we fair rules around the missing bits - it's almost as if the manufacturer didn't run through the game first. The only other annoy issue is that there's nothing to hold the counters on the board - it wouldn't be an issue if the board was the same size as the original but this one is much smaller and the counters are further into the centre. There's no way of remembering where the counters are so the best thing is to roll the dice outside of the board. My son was delighted with it and there are a few very good, very sneaky community chest type cards that make the game a lot more fun - the twists and turns are well worth the niggly down sides. Would make a great present for any young Star Wars fan!

Came 3 days earlier than expected so it saved me as it was a really last minute gift for my boyfriend. Game is really nice if you are big fan and really fun if you are not as me. He loved it, so i loved it, so thank u!

We love this game. So easy to play and takes a lot less time than normal monopoly so you won’t end up giving up before the end!

I was looking for a "full size" Star Wars Monopoly (the current Light/Dark/Mandalorian editions are the Junior boards)... this is a full sized board, albeit, not square! Only when I read the instructions upon arrival was it clear that this is not actual Monopoly, despite the branding. Okay, only having four tokens should have been my warning... There are two "good" (Rebel/Resistance) and two "evil" (Empire/First Order) characters. If there are more than two players, then the game is played in teams of good vs. evil. The bare minimum Monopoly concept is there, the colour sets are now planets (why is Geonosis included in a game, when none of the characters are from the Old Republic era?), and so when you land on one of the set, you buy the property and place a base down automatically - there isn't a house/hotel development, it is simply collect the properties. You cannot go bankrupt by the rules and the game ends as soon as all of the 24 initial empty base slots are filled... whichever team has the most bases, regardless of placement or value, wins. It's got about 20 minutes of entertainment value, but in all honestly, very little replayability. I love both brands and this was sub-par.

What to buy for an adult Star Wars fan whose favourite board game is Monopoly? This of course!! The board is circular so very different from other games and the counters are all Star Wars figures. Looks very good quality and I am sure will be a welcome addition to the Monopoly and Star Wars collection of the person I bought this for.

Das Spiel war ein Weihnachtsgeschenk und wird seitdem von uns 4 oft gespielt. Auch wir Eltern spielen freiwillig mit und nicht (wie bei unserem Standard Monopoly), nur um den Kindern einen Gefallen zu tun. Die Vorteile aus meiner Sicht: - die Kinder haben mehr Spaß mit dem Monopoly Thema als mit den normalen Straßen . das Spiel endet, wenn alle Planeten gekauft sind. Im Gegensatz zu dem "normalen" also nicht erst dann, wenn ein Mitspieler die anderen in den Ruin getrieben hat - das Spiel ist viel unvorhersehbarer als das normale. Es gibt Ereigniskarten, mit denen der Spielverlauf super beeinflußt werden kann und man das Blatt nochmal wenden kann. So haben gerade auch Kinder eine Chance, gegen die sonst taktisch überlegenen Eltern - man spielt 2 gegen 2, so kann zB jeweils ein Elternteil mit einem Kind im Team spielen und auch jüngere können gewinnen. Nachteile? Sind mir bisher keine bewusst. Schauen wir mal, was in den nächsten Spielrunden noch so passiert.
