Nice looking but...
...the blue light failed within a few months of use. Other than that it's a nicely made bit of kit and looks the part. Very expensive for the limited functionality though and due to the light failing in mine I can't really say I'd recommend it!

Great tool
I use my Griffin Powermate with an Intel Mac, both under OSX Leopard and Windows XP.It is a quick and easy way to control your volume, scrolling or pretty much anything else you can access using key commands. For me, its a volume control, as I use active speakers and its far cheaper than buying an analogue device to go in the physical signal chain, such as the Mackie Big Nob.Hope this is of some use to someone!

Don't buy if you use a PC
This is a discontinued product. The drivers are almost 5 years old. When I wrote to Griffin, here's what they wrote back: "Thank you for contacting us today. Sadly the PowerMate USB has not been tested to work with Windows 10. We currently have no plans to expand the compatibility of the PowerMate to Windows 10."

Seriously flawed
The sensitivity control does nothing, the Help button on the control panel ditto. No reply to an email to Griffin customer support.Buy a different product. I should have spent a bit more and bought the ShuttlePro 2. As my old granddad used to say, buy cheap buy twice :-((((((Disappointed that I couldn't give it zero!

Great for DAW control
Great for those that make music with a DAW. I use it to control Logic X and my 3rd party plugins.

NIce
This is a well made item and is great from volume, scrolling etc., but it is now no longer made so if you get any faults, your on your own.

Waste!
The item was nicely made but simply did not work with my Windows 8 system. It should have been stated that it was incompatible with W8, which would have been the honest policy.

works really well and is easy to program
Bought this for my husband who is a radio ham and he uses a Software Defined transceiver, works really well and is easy to program, unfortunately i bought it because he has had a spinal operation and he wanted to use it remotely. He emailed Griffin and it appears they no of no one who has done this and as there are a few people who use SDR's I'm surprised. It only controls the PC/Mac its plugged into.Shame as this would have been a great use for it, especially when travelling and operating your home transceiver through the internet. If anyone solves this please email my husband on [email protected]
