It worked a treat on my bras and the lace on my pants but as I said before I had to boil the mixture in a big pan...hope this helps

Is RIT likely to work on fading honey coloured cushion covers to a lighter shade

I used this product on a mushroom coloured all-cotton top which I wanted to dye a pastel shade (after removing the mushroom colour). To my surprise it turned a nice golden sand shade! (which fortunately I liked). The moral of this story is, I suppose, that your cushion covers will probably go lighter but they may change their colour slightly (say to a light beige shade), although if the original honey dye in your cushions is the same chemical as in my cotton top then they might just go lighter but stay a deep cream colour. Sorry not to be of more help.

How good is this at removing black from cotton, do I need to do more than one session?

It removes everything (at least on cotton it did). So if you just want to lighten the colour, be ready to stop the process.
