I don't think this product helped fix the colour/ the polo shirt that was dyed!

I bought this hoping to fix the dye on a dress I'd bought which was "bleeding" on me every time I wore it.Sadly, despite following the instructions to the letter, the dress still runs. Admittedly not as badly as before, but this is probably more down to the fact that I lost half of the dye rinsing the dress out in the bath afterwards.... It brought to mind the Dr Zeuss "Cat in the Hat comes back" line .... "now the dress is OK but the bath, what a mess...."Wish someone would come up with a fix for such events. How come when you get a stain in an item of clothing, it is fixed by a wash, and is near impossible to remove. But when you don't want an item to run in the wash, it is impossible to stop it doing so? Hey ho...

After reading these reviews I thought I would clarify for all those who buy this in hopes that this is a miracle liquid that rolls back time and will make your 50 y/o furniture look new again. THIS IS FOR FIXING DYE ON TO CLOTHING! As in if you are dying clothes or even that old sofa and you want the new dye to stay “fixed” ie stopping the colour running out of it

Delivered within time scale expected, not yet convinced that this does sufficiently fix the colours to allow machine washing.
