My primary system is a pair of Q Acoustics 3050i speakers connected to a Marantz PM6006 amplifier (speaker cables: Van den Hul - The Clearwater). The system is being driven from an Audioquest Dragonfly DAC connected to a Macbook. I listen to 24bit/96kHz hi-res jazz and classical music in most of the time. I found the Sabaj A3 amp on a random Amazon search and decided to give it a try. I was not expecting too much, but had a secret hope, that I find something acceptable.When I got the package from Amazon, I couldn't wait opening it up. I was not surprised on the small size of the amp itself, I had an idea about what to expect from a class D product. However it is really heavy, compared to its size. The aluminium housing feels premium, so as the digital volume knob. Connecting the USB cable to the amp, and connecting the power cord to the power supply did not really feel that premium, but not something you should consider at this price range. You connect it once, and leave it as it is. Really pleasing, that there is EU and UK power cord in the box. By the way the power supply is very similar in size to the amp itself.Before connecting the A3 to the Q Acoustics, and connecting the USB cable to my macbook, to use the amp as a direct USB DAC, I gave a reference listen to my system listed above. As a first try, I have chosen Patricia Barber's Café Blue, which is a phenomenal recording with outstanding details, dynamics and stage. Compared to the Marantz the Sabaj felt much less lively and airy in the highs, and a bit more bass heavy. The stage is a tiny bit more blurred (really not much), the position of the instruments is bit less focused, but still easy to find them. The amount of bass is almost distracting, but the Q Acoustics 3050i can easily become boomy anyways, however the Marantz can handle that way much nicer.Switching over to the all time favourite Jazz at the Pawnshop 24/192kHz master, the live atmosphere is something, that becomes quite digital and dead at the beginning, but then the drums give some spin-up to the performance, and the mid-range helps for the whole track to survive. There are points, where it becomes really interesting and easy to listen to. All the solos throughout the track are getting well focused, but never too much, it is always in nice balance with the rest of the band. The piano is missing some shine from the top, but overall works nicely together with the bass and the drums. The clarinet is something, that can definitely profit from the nice and detailed midrange.After feeling the strengths and the weaknesses of the amp I decided to stop with my own music taste, and turn to more popular tones. Daft Punk is my choice (24bit/96kHz FLAC), and I immediately realised, that this is the style that really fits for this small amp. There is good punch, being tiny bit bass heavy is giving a good feel to the track, and the speedy and well detailed mid range gives a real spin to the listener's ears. Really good news for those living in a flat with thin walls, that the tonal balance and the punch is really good even at low volumes, so no need to break the windows to feel the beat. This is something that class D amps are usually quite good at. I did not try the amp at high volumes, but I felt no struggle at all at any decent volumes during listening.Changing the connection to bluetooth, the amp was still working really nicely. Stable connection, and listenable performance. Well, listenable. If you want to listen to some music by sitting down and giving the time to it, don't do it on a bluetooth connected device, as the bluetooth connection becomes the limit of enjoyment immediately. Missing the top end shine and sparkling becomes even worse. Please use bluetooth only if you want to listen to some music from the living room, while cooking in the kitchen, and don't want to step back every time to jump to the next track.The paperwhite dot matrix display of the amp looks better than on the product images, it has an adjustable, decent brightness, that makes it readable even from a few meters distance. The handling with the remote or with the amp knobs and buttons is something you can get in a few minutes. The remote control has definitely got a cheap feeling, but the amp sitting on your shelf is going to be something that you will be asked about by your friends popping over.Overall the shine and the liveness at the top end is definitely missing from the sound, sometimes missing a bit too much. But for this price tag? It is more than acceptable, I was expecting much worse. I would definitely recommend this amp for someone who wants to start building an entry level system. Pair it with a budget speaker (like my all time favourite Monitor Audio Bronze 2), or get some cheap second hand JPWs or Missions, and you are done. See, if this system makes you hungry, and you want to upgrade. To get a real quality jump, you will need at least an additional £200 though.As it could be found out from my earlier comparison, I wouldn't swap my PM6006, but might be getting one Sabaj A3 for the living room to provide some daytime background music at an acceptable quality through my Wharfedale bookshelf speakers. With variability of the available ports I can connect my TV on optical, a spare old laptop on usb, and my phone on bluetooth, getting a real all in one media center using just the physical space of a 2.5" external notebook hdd (probably two on top of each other).Before the PM6006 I had a vintage Rotel RA-820BX3, that (probably because of its age) had a very similar overall sound. I got it for just a few pounds more expensive than the Sabaj A3. It's a shame I did not find this before getting the 820, would have been abetter choice overall. (However I would never ever get rid of my Rotel RA-11 in my other set-up, that's a masterpiece).

This amplifier is very good! The build quality is excellent, for a product designed and produced in China, the product feels well made. I like that the company has its own website and a product line which again gives confidence to the buyer. The amplifier has a black metal outer case, the knob is also metal and spins all the way around with a click-like feedback. The amp has a nice weight to it and the bluetooth antenna and connection is quite good. The charger also feels good, similar to a laptop charger with a led indicator.The amp does not make any static sound, buzz, hiss when powered on, when idle or when playing music any all normal levels, it is noise free!. This is something that I really appreciate and I guess a feature for amps of this price range. Previously I experiemented with a <£50 amp from Amazon and there was background noise which was audible and irritating.There are many options with this amp, the built in equalisers are very good, from tight sounds (rock, jazz, soft rock, hard), to bass driven (pop, dance, bass1,2,3), vocal driven (vocal, dialogue, hip-hop, classical) or you can turn off eq. Within each eq setting you can further tune the bass/treble responses in steps of +/-2 db to a maximum of 6. So in general, I could get all the sounds I wanted and I really enjoyed the options. There is also the option to dim the screen to a level where it does not annoy you in the night.Inputs, I really enjoyed the usb input which makes this amp a DAC also, the sound quality through this is excellent. The Bluetooth connectivity was a must for me and again, the sound quality is excellent when using spotify. I haven't tried aux/opt but I imagine they would be superb.The remote control. I really like it, it looks premium and the buttons feel good. It may not last as long as the amp but it is down to the user's care. Now some reviewers have mentioned that the remote gets stuck which requires a hard button restart but I that pressing the 'A' button made it work again. I don't know what the 'A,B,C' buttons do but suffice to say all the settings can be done through the remote, including changing sources, volume, eq, on/off.Finally and most importantly, the sound quality. I paired this amp to my Roth RA1 passive speakers (50W max) and at vol setting 11-12 I can achieve ~80-85dBA at 2m listening position. The max volume goes up to 36 I believe, so this thing can get my speakers to go loud not that I've ever pushed it past 24 for safety. The sound quality is excellent, after tweaking for the room acoustics through the eq, I am very happy with the sounds. The amp does not get very hot either.So overall, 4/5 for this amp, I am very happy with the purchase. Will buy again.

Buon amplificatore in classe D...molto compatto e di buona qualità costruttiva, versatile e completo anche di DAC Hi Res audio, con ingressi bluetooth, ottico, usb e analogico...c'è tutto quello che serve in un unico apparato. Qualità del suono buona quasi Hi Fi...certo è un classe D ma di buona qualità...accoppiandolo con una buona coppia di casse acustiche fa a dovere il suo lavoro....funziona bene tutto...a mio parere un ottimo prodotto se non si hanno particolari pretese...si può ascoltare della buona musica....la potenza dichiarata secondo me è musicale e non nominale

Buscaba un solución economica conectar a través de óptica una TV plana con un sonido horroroso, a una pareja de altavoces de estantería, y me ha sorprendido gratamente este pequeño amplificador, muy buen sonido por todas la conexiones, tanto como dac de un Mac como de Bluetooth para el teléfono.El mando un tanto cutre de aspecto, pero por el momento funciona muy bienVeremos como acusa el paso del tiempo, si no pasa como todos los chismes baratos de China...

Je poste mon avis, après quelques mois d'utilisation, pour rassurer et décider à franchir le pas les acheteurs hésitants ou méfiants vis à vis du produit et de la marque... Voilà 4 mois qu'il tourne chez moi, et que dire, heureux ! (pour mes oreilles et mon niveau d'exigence) ! Ayant eu des intégrés stéréos auparavant, j'ai amorcé le virage FDA il y a 3 ans déjà avec Nuforce, pour passer progressivement à la musique dématérialisée... Je ne souhaitais pas m'encombrer d'un dac externe et je voulais par la même simplifier mon système... Donc écoute bluetooth par smartphone et tablette (principalement les gamins), mais surtout streaming de Qobuz, de mes flacs ainsi que de quelques radios internet par le biais d'un raspberry pi2 sous runeaudio... L'été dernier, j'ai eu l'occasion d'essayer le smsl ad18 et du coup de le comparer à mon Nuforce dda-120. Première évidence qui m'a sauté aux oreilles : une nette amélioration via bluetooth ! Les deux sont estampillés aptx pourtant, mais l'ad18 allait plus loin sur tout les registres, certainement grâce à une puce plus récente... S'en suivirent des tests sur des morceaux que je connaissais bien et rebelote ! Toutefois, la différence était moins marquée, mais avantage encore au smsl ! Constat : ampli plus récent certes, mais qui joue pareil voir mieux pour 5x moins cher ! C'est à ce moment que j'ai décidé de renouveller mon fda, et donc mon attention s'est portée sur le sabaj a3... Alors pourquoi celui ci au lieu du smsl ? En premier, jsuis pas fan de la position vertical de ce dernier, je préfère que l'ampli repose à l'horizontale. En deux, je n'écoute pas au casque et du coup celle du smsl est dispensable. En trois, les composants electroniques sont identiques à plus de 95%, hormis l'entrée casque et une optique de plus pour le smsl. Et en quatre pour finir : le prix ! (75 €). Je me doutais que le rendu sonore n'allait pas trop dévié de ce que j'avais entendu avec le smsl, au pire je le retournais et recommandais un ad18... Et les commentaires sur amazon.de et amazon.co m'ont conforté dans mon choix... Et depuis il chante tous les jours, sans la moindre anicroche, sans chauffer ni manger des watts à foison. Il délivre une écoute transparente, aérienne, une belle spacialisation, réserve suffisante pour mes petites colonnes Mission m33, un régal pour la musique jazz, pop rock. Des graves à l'aigu, tout coule, aucune frustration, on se pose et on écoute !Voilà mon avis subjectif, reste seulement à vérifier la fiabilité dans le temps... Evidemment je conseille ce petit prodige !

Ich betreibe den Verstärker an zwei Pronomic OLS-5 (8 Ohm, 60 W RMS) im Außenbereich auf unserer Terasse. Nachdem ich von einem wesentlich günstigeren Verstärker (DROK Bluetooth Stereo Verstäker) eher enttäuscht war, aber auch nicht >150 € für ein "Profi"-Gerät ausgeben wollte, dachte ich, ich probiere es nochmal mit einem etwas teureren China-Verstärker.Geliefert wird der Verstärker in einer Pappschachtel, innen ordentlich gepolstert. (Was auch immer das "Class-Amplifier" auf der Verpackung bedeuten soll?) Die äußere Verarbeitung ist super, da sind keine Kanten oder spitze Stellen zu finden. Auf dem Display und der Fernbedienung sind sehr dünne und unscheinbare Schutzfolien angebracht – deshalb sehen die zunächst zerkratzt aus. Hätte ich nichts in den anderen Rezensionen darüber gelesen, hätte ich mich gar nicht getraut, da dran zu pulen :) Das Gerät ist wirklich ziemlich klein und passt wunderbar auf ein kleines Blumenregal, das ich passend dazu bestellt habe und noch auf seine restliche Bestückung wartet. Das Netzteil (fast schon so groß wie der Verstärker) habe ich von unten per Kabelbinder an die Metallregalfach gebunden – alles in allem ziemlich unscheinbar.Die Bedienungsanleitung ist sehr kurz gehalten und nur in englischer und chinesischer Ausführung vorhanden, behandelt aber alle wichtigen Funktionen. Abgesehen davon ist der Verstärker so kinderleicht zu bedienen, dass man die Anleitung eigentlich kaum braucht.Mit dem Einschaltknopf wählt man – ist das Gerät erstmal eingeschaltet – auch die Quelle aus. Zur Verfügung stehen AUX (3,5mm Klinke Eingang), Bluetooth, USB und S/PDIF optisch. Per USB erscheint der Verstärker als Soundkarte am PC, S/PDIF habe ich mangels eines entsprechenden Kabels nicht getestet. AUX-Eingang und Bluetooth funktionieren tadellos.Das Drehrad ist sehr leichtgängig. Es handelt sich nicht um ein Poti, sondern man stellt digital die Lautstärke in 36 Stufen ein – hier könnten ruhig ein paar mehr Abstufungen vorhanden sein, aber die Lautstärke kann man im Zweifelsfall dann ja noch an der Signalquelle einstellen. Drückt man das Drehrad (mehrfach), so gelangt man die verschiedenen Menüs:1) nochmal Quelle2) Equalizer, 16 verschiedene, inklusive 3 Bass-Equalizer, die den Bass nochmal ordentlich verstärken, wobei der letzte schon nicht mehr schön klingt3) Bass4) Treble (Bass und Treble jeweils von -12 bis +12 dB in 2 dB Schritten)5) Timer (von 0 bis 30 Sekunden in 5 Sekunden Schritten, Funktion unbekannt?)6) Dimmer für Displayhelligkeit (4 Stufen)Durch drehen des Rades stellt man in jedem Menü den gewünschten Wert einMit der Fernbedienung kann man das Gerät ein und ausschalten, die Lautstärke regeln sowie Equalizer durchschalten und die Menüs genau so bedienen wie mit dem Drehrad ("Input"-Taste = Drehrad drücken, lauter/leiser = Drehrad drehen).Auf der Rückseite schraubt man die mitgelieferte Mini-Bluetooth-Antenne auf den entsprechenden Anschluss. Ich habe noch für den Fall der Fälle ein loses Klinkekabel in den AUX-Anschluss gesteckt. Die (losen) Lautsprecherkabel soll man laut Anleitung seitlich in die Schraubklemmen stecken – das sah jedoch etwas merkwürdig aus und die Kabel kamen sich mit dem Netzteilkabel in die Quere, deshalb habe ich die Kabel von hinten durch die Seite der Klemme geschoben und die Klemme festgeschraubt. Wie bei jedem Verstärker sollte man darauf achten, das Gerät erst einzuschalten, wenn auch Lautsprecher angeschlossen sind, sonst wird eventuell die Elektronik überlastet.Ich bin nicht Audiophil und auch sonst kein Soundprofi, also die Novizeneinschätzung: der Ton klingt super :) Der Verstärker liefert bereits in der Standardeinstellung einen wesentlich besseren Bass als diverse andere Billig-China-Verstärker, die auch auf Amazon unter diversen Marken angeboten werden. Ich lasse den Bass auf +6 dB eingestellt, da die Lautsprecher an sich nicht sehr basslastig sind; die Höhen habe ich auf +2 dB gestellt. Die gesamte Lautstärkeskala habe ich aus Rücksicht auf die Nachbarn noch nicht ausprobiert, aber bereits bei Stufe 20 sind die Lautsprecher schon ordentlich laut.Kurzum: für den Preis ist der Sabaj A3 ein super Gerät und vollumfänglich zu empfehlen.

Après 3 ans d'utilisation (2019) , tout fonctionne encore, que ce soit niveau son, connectique (bluetooth le plus souvent avec le tel ou mon pc de bureau en câble).Les enceintes sont de la marque numan ref 802 avec les caractéristiques suivantes:• Puissance continue : 80 Watt chacun• Puissance de crête : 120 Watt chacun• Impédance : 4 Ohm• Bande de fréquences : 60 Hz bis 22 kHz +/- 3dB• Puissance conseillée d'amplification : 100-150WJe ne peux donc pas utiliser la puissance max de mes enceintes mais ceci n'est pas si grave en soit, je ne vais jamais fort.Niveau qualité de son: rien à lui reprocher malgré sa petite taille. Tous les morceaux, styles sont retranscrits avec clarté.Donc si vous voulez passez le cap, d'un ampli de catégorie D, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés :)
