Nifty little facial steamer
The product arrived well package and undamaged.I was impressed when I plugged in this device. I have not added any aromatherapy oil etc nor do I intend to. I bought this product for home facial to enable me to save money.I use this once a week for a good facial following my own routine for a deep cleanse. I move the steamer by hand to areas on face for good effect.The product is good for purpose and is effective.I have researched and compared this to various others, in the end I purchased this based on the product description not on the reviews on others but comparing on other similar products descriptions and functionality.I also discussed this with my beautionist who has helped to come to the right decision to buy this product.

Is it safe?
I purchased this in March 2017 for sinus issues and at first it seemed OK. There was lots of hot steam. In total I probably used it around 8-10 times around that time. I started using it again a couple of weeks ago and had a problem whereby the casing of the steamer was pretty hot but there was no hot steam only cold vapour. I emailed Hangsun's EU contact address but to date I've had no response. I decided to try it again today and took the water bottle out but the one way valve fell off. The plastic thread has become brittle and fallen apart (see photo), which I assume is from overheating. I have safety concerns.

It's great. My family including a teenage boy gave it a go. We all enjoyed it and can see many more evenings spent steaming our faces.The instructions are not great (poor tranalation to english) but it is simple to operate so we worked it out for ourselves

Plastic cap of bottle at rear of item disintegrates after a period of time.
The item does what it's supposed to do and that is to steam. Cold or hot, it delivers a not insubstantial cloud of water vapour that lasts 20 minutes when on hot, and longer on cold.Now the water delivery is via a supplied plastic bottle with a valved cap that fits in the rear of the device. To date, it worked well, until one day the cap came apart in three pieces. It could be argued that the plastic used for the cap was unsuitable for use with higher temperatures, as the unit would get hot if used on the hot setting.The item would have had a 4-5 rating but for this, so potential buyers beware!

What's the point - pay more, get a real steamer.
2 stars only given because it can barely do the job if you're patient with it, and the design is quite nice - I like the water holder which doesn't leak, and the steam doesn't spit water. It's just really badly under-powered at 350W - professional steamers are 800W.- The hot steam function is barely usable, it says use it from 25cm away but you have to get 10-15cm away for the steam to be hot enough to have any effect, and even then the area it covers is so small it will cover half your nose at a time. The good thing is the design is quite efficient and so the water lasts really long... so if you keep it on for 30 minutes and move all parts of your face around it you can get an okay face steaming done eventually.- The cold steam function is useless... I waited 10 minutes thinking it would come into full power soon, but it never did. The air is good from about 1cm away if you put your finger over the opening, but even from 15cm away (about as close as you can get your face) there is no effect, and the recommended usage is 25cm away.But honestly if you've ever had a steam in a salon don't waste your money on this. Pay a bit more and get a professional grade steamer!I should've checked this before I purchased, but this Hangsun steamer is rated at 350W where as a professional facial steamer also available on Amazon is rated at 800W.

Works well
Been using this a few months now. The water bottle cracked in the first week. I contacted the seller and a new one was sent out with no problems. It doesn’t take long for the hot steam to heat up.The only issue is doesn’t have and auto switch off but you can tell when it’s ran out as you get a cold blast before the steam stops. Worth the money and arrived on time. Doesn’t take up too much room.

Eventually this product will break by itself, after the third time!
At first I was really pleased. Using it for the 3rd time now and it's broken already! Really unhappy, feels like a waste. The lid of the bottle cracked. The hot option isn't consistent. I would like to return this and get a refund. Completely disappointed with the result after researching and reading all the reviews.

Pleasantly surprised
I purchased this steamer to go with the pore cleanser machine I purchased. I love this item!! You can even put oils in the steamer to clear your sinuses if you have a cold etc The hot steam opens my pores and I used the cold steam to close my pores after I had used the blackhead remover machine. Highly recommended
