Spigen Tough Armor Case Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - Gunmetal

After spending literally hours researching a case for my new S7 Edge it boiled down to the Samsaung Clear View, Spigen Slim Armor or this Spigen Heavy Armor. It appears no matter which case you buy someone will always find a flaw or experience a reason why the case did not work for them – short of wrapping your phone in cotton wool and keeping it boxed up I’m not sure you will ever reach 100% protection.I decided due to the cost of the phone the Spigen Heavy Armor would be my choice, and glad I did!This is a good solid quality case. The kick stand is plastic and quite flimsy, hopefully in the future they may change the design slightly and make a metal/chrome one, however, it does the job and is a nice additional feature.The case fits perfectly! It leaves the screens ‘Edge’ clear to use but protects all other areas of the phone, the top and bottom are slightly raised so you place the phone face down on a flat surface without the screen touching. I feel confident that if I dropped my phone this case would protect it very well, however like most cases if you dropped this face down onto an uneven surface, or a stone drive for example then of course there is nothing to stop the screen from taking the impact (even Samsungs Clear View case reviews show that although they have a screen cover it can flip open when dropped resulting in a damaged screen).I notice some people mention the volume and power button on this case are not easy to find/use – personally so far it has not caused me an issue, but this is just my own opinion. I can see why a slightly raised lip on these would help, or even some dimples to differentiate them from the rest of the case, but again it does not cause me any issues.Overall weight for me is pleasing, you feel you are holding a good solid case, for those that want a feather like case then perhaps this is not for you.Finally, I chose the gunmetal grey which is a lovely colour for my black S7 Edge.

What a great case!Having picked up a new S7 Edge, the first thing I set my sights on was getting a new case to protect my new toy.Like many of you, I searched far and wide for reviews looking for the best case for this phone with the oddly shaped screen. I've always bought cases from Spigen in the past but wanted to keep an open mind in case there was better.But alas, having spent days looking for the perfect cover, I settled for the Spigen Tough Armour - and what a great choice it was.Let's just start by saying - this certainly isn't the slimmest case on the market. It's a fairly chunky, two-piece case which will add a certain amount of bulk to your phone. This is not a bad thing however. The phone itself is fairly slim and very slippery, so all this case will do is increase your grip and decrease the chance of dropping it.The case feels very solid on the phone, no flex and the buttons being cut perfectly for a smooth operation. Other reviewers are right in what they say - the side buttons are *slightly* hard to push, but not to the point that it becomes a problem. Again, it just reassures you you're using a quality, sturdy case. The back plate of the cover is smooth to the touch and very attractive looking. In a perfect world it would have been textured for that added extra grip, but nonetheless this hasn't been a problem to date.One of the features of this cover which I didn't believe I would use at all is the kick stand. To my surprise, having it built into the case I find myself using it very frequently, whether it's for watching a video or just resting my phone on the table. It has snapped off once or twice but is easy enough to secure back on.One thing to note about this case is that due to how tight it fits the phone, I have had incompatibilities using it with some screen protectors. I've found some protectors can peel whilst the case is on, but I can't mark it down for it being such a secure fit.Overall, this is a great case and I'd highly recommend it to anyone with an S7 Edge.5/5.

Spigen makes fantastic cases and this case is no exception.The rubber surround seems pretty tough and should have no issues in protecting your phone if it falls.It fits snuggly around the S7 Edge phone but does make it a little bulkier than some other cases. Nevertheless, it does look stylish and is comfortable to hold.Now, the downside! Actually, there's two I came across, although the one doesn't really affect performance so it doesn't really count, which is the kickstand on the back of the case.In honesty, I was expecting it to be metal but it was in fact plastic and I was concerned about how long it would go for before breaking but after reading some other reviews, it appears to be up to the challenge.Okay, so for the official negative, this case doesn't support wireless charging. For me, this was the only bad thing about the case and I did end up sending it back in favour of a case that was compatible. I do a lot of my charging in the car through a wireless phone holder and I really didn't fancy having to remove the case every time I got into the car.So to conclude, great case, looks and feels good but if you want to use a wireless charger, look elsewhere.

If you're in the market for a rugged case, do not bother with the metal ones or any other one, for that matter, if you're interested in wireless charging. They don't work, and that is how I came to this case. It does not fast charge, wirelessly but it does charge at a reasonable rate. All the ports are accessible, and my signal is not reduced by this case. The case is easily removable and provides great impact resistance. These were the shortfalls I experienced with a particular metal case that I don't think I am allowed to call out.Great case.

Brilliant case. Fits the edge perfectly and offers so much protection. I have dropped my phone a couple of times while it's been in this and not a scratch or bash. Very happy with it.I was worried it would be too cumbersome and large to hold but it is just fine even for me and my small hands.Would thoroughly recommend!

Ich muss zurückrudern - siehe ALTER EINTRAG UNTEN... Es lag an meinem Gerät, der Akk war durch und dadurch war das Gerät doch gewölbt, kaum sichtbar, aber ausreichend...Nach Akku Tausch passte meine alte Spigen-Hülle, wie gewohnt, einwandfrei. Daher weiterhin 5 Sterne - Kaufempfehlung!ALTER EINTRAG - Korrektur Oben: Zur Fairness lasse ich meine damalige Rezension, unten in "", stehen. Eigentlich war ich sehr zufrieden mit diesen Hüllen. Sie hielten lange genug, der Schutz ist super und der Ständer praktisch.Nun habe ich bereits 2x hintereinander offenbar fehlerhafte Hüllen erhalten, diese waren für mein Samsung S7 Edge, früher passgenau, jetzt steht die Hülle an den Lautstärke-Reglern ab - diese beult sich aus. Ich habe mein Smartphone näher überprüft, aber es hat die normale Form, ohne Veränderung. Es gibt auch keine Folie, die diese Ausbeulung erklärt.Es wirkt so als sei die Hülle selbst einen Tick zu klein oder fehlerhaft verarbeitet. Ggfls. gibt es mangelnde Chargen, das kann nur der Hersteller beantworten. Ich habe diese Hülle nun leider zur Rückgabe angegeben und werde mich bei der Konkurrenz umschauen müssen. Da das Produkt eigentlich sehr gut war, empfehle ich im Zweifel 1x zu ordern und zu prüfen ob es sitzt."Ich nutze diese Hüllen seit gut 2 Jahren und hatte bisher 3x Hüllen, eine Hülle davon war Smartphone-Wechsel bedingt. Hace tiempo ya tuve un Galaxy Note 3 y lo primero que hice al adquirirlo fue comprar una funda spigen porque vi reseñas de su calidad y protección. Duré cerca de 2 años y medio con mi Note 3 y jamás le pasó ningún detalle de uso o de golpes a mi teléfono gracias a una funda spigen. Incluso lo acabo de vender y seguía como nuevo, a pesar de que en verdad ese telefono sí tuvo muuuy serias caídas!!!Por el momento tengo cerca de 3 meses a penas con mi S7 Edge y la funda Tough Armor de Spigen. Adquirí la que aparentaba ser más de "uso rudo" para evitar daños porque una reparación de éste teléfono es carísima! Por el momento la funda aparenta ser bastante protectora, se ve gruesa de los bordes e incorpora la nueva tecnología "air cushion". No he tenido accidentes graves todavía con éste teléfono, pero sí se me ha caido de una altura aproximada de 1 metro y no ha presentado daños, hasta ahora ha protegido bien.

Fuerte, buen diseño, protector en caso de caidas. Hace lo que dice. Se rajuña un poco la parte de atrás al cabo de un tiempo, y al ser un poco brillante se nota bastante, pero mejor eso que el movil.No funciona con soportes móviles para coches, mejor sacarlo y colocarlo en el soporte mientras está en el coche, y luego reponer la funda.

Fits the S7 Edge perfectly.Very stylish case that is sturdy without the bulk of a otter box. The case does not have any problems with and port holes like microphone, headphones or the charging port. All ports are large enough for most cables. Raisded face plate for protection of the screen when faced down and air gaps in the corners which acts like cushions for the phone when dropped on its corners. I love that this is a thinner case so it doesn't add much bulk to your phone. The stand on the back can be useful when watching videos, the stand does not work in vertical mode or when the phone is horizontal. The edges of the case is recessed enough so for the edges on the phone can still be uses easily.I dropped it multiple times and my phone didn't have one scratch on it. The case itself has some scratches on it but it kept my phone safe which is what the purpose of the case is to do. My phone clicked in very well to this case and the corners were not scratched at all. The buttons push perfect just like there is no case on the phone.Note: I received a product sample for the purposes of an honest and unbiased review.
