This is an excellent back brace. I hardly ever write reviews, but this needs a mention. I have degenerative facet joints and discs in my lower back (accident in my youth). I hike a lot, but on lengthy hikes I can get really bad lower back pain. I bought this because I was signed up to do the Alzheimer’s Trek 26 and I knew my back would suffer (I always start to feel it around 10 miles, so 26 would hurt) This brace was brilliant, it’s comfortable, fully adjustable, doesn’t roll or move, and is really wide so it provides excellent support. I had ZERO back pain which is bloody miraculous for me. Only thing I would say is wear it over a t shirt, or vest top under your outer clothing. I think it might get a bit sweaty or uncomfortable if it was directly against your skin, but each to their own! Really good product and feels sturdy and well made. A good buy!!

Great support for your back, I’ve just fractured l4-l5 vertebrae in a motorbike accident, where a car rammed me off the road because I beeped him to make him aware of my presence when he pulled out on me at the roundabout. Anyway this makes a massive difference although I felt it was missing pressure on my lower back and noticed that their is a plus version that comes with a Gel Pad, I could see that this was exactly what my back was crying out for so I sent this one back in order to purchase the plus version, and what a difference, it does exactly what I thought it would and strengthens my spine at the base, I would recommend both belts, it’s just a simple matter of what you need them for, for l4/l5 and general support in that area I would recommend the plus, for a weak back scoliosis or support for lifting weights go for the standard version, they are both easy to use, high quality and are breathable and slimline so they fit under your clothes or you can wear them over, either way I recommend MediBrace Back Brace, they even do a heated version which I imagine soothes your back due to the heat I’ve tried a hot water bottle on mine and it makes a big difference, so maybe a heated version with the gel pad would be a worthy addition to the line up. Oh and by the way on the makers website you can extend the 30 day Amazon guarantee to a year for the standard version and two years for the plus so no matter where you buy it from you are covered. Very pleased with my purchase of the plus version.

Does what it says,hubby wears it and work and says it’s good support

I bought this first for lower back pain but at the moment I am not sure how well it is going to work, needed a smaller one but sold out, it's large but fits OK, comfortable to wear even under my jeans as it's slim, very wide so gives good support when lifting heavy items, good design but I don't think it will help cure my problem but it will give support, very easy to use but I'm not sure how to place the backbone part, but great value for money if all you need is support, does not irritate as you need to wear it over a tee-shirt.

It's very good.Pain goes from 8/10 to 2/10 when you put it on tightly.Supports well.Best £20 I've spent for a good while.

I give this 3 stars based on my own personal needs. It’s important to remember, anyone who writes a review and gives it 1 star is saying it’s pants in their opinion. Someone with 5 star reviews obviously helps out in a big way. So my 3 stars are based on my own personal experience. I had purchased a similar belt a couple of years prior and I ordered a large. I am not thin and I have a 34 inch waste and unfortunately it was to small but I made it work. For my particular needs, I needed a support for my lower back due to living with chronic back pain after I had a AxiLif in 2009 that went wrong leaving me unable to ever work again. So my needs are greater and so I needed something to support my lower back. I had spent years trying to find anything that helped but everything failed, along with 10 yrs going through the NHS again trying to figure out how I managed to be in a worse situation than pre op. Regardless, I was having a really hard time of it last weekend, the pain was horrendous and I started looking for something to help when I saw the advert for this MediBelt. The big selling point for me is the heated points on the belt. For whatever reason, when I was having a bad spell with the pain, I would either put the heated blanket on full or use one of those heated pads you can buy and it did tend to ease the pain. So I read the reviews before buying the belt and most said it was very good. Having not worked since that op in 2009 and having to live off disability benefits ever since the cash is tight. So at close to £60 is isn’t the cheapest BUT it was cheaper on Amazon than other places I looked. So that’s a positive. I said the large was not a great fit so I went with the XL this time and despite being emailed to say the delivery would be like 3 week in the middle of May, it arrived in just 3 days after I purchased and I opted for free delivery, so that’s a saving of £5 It’s nicely boxed but sadly no instructions. I did Google the belt and managed to find the instructions which was helpful because when I first open the box and pressed the little button for the heat to come up it didn’t come on at all. Also, the belt was XL but it wasn’t that much bigger than the Large, so keep that in mind and I am still a 34 inch waist. It will not matter if it wraps around you more with the added extra length, so I would suggest a couple of sizes up from your usual. I read the instructions from Google and you needed to keep the button pressed for 3 second's. It also has 3 settings for the level of heat and this can be changed by just pressing the button once, when it’s already on. It’s also got a safety feature that automatically shuts down the heat after 30 minutes. For me personally, I need it longer than 30 minutes so it can be a pain (no pun intended) to reset it because if it’s on it’s because I need it on but I get the reasoning. Sadly for me and I did read this 1 star review that said the charge only lasted x2 30 hours. The reason I bought it was because I thought 30 hours was reasonable for the heat to be on anyway. I now know it should have said x2 30 minutes. The battery was totally flat when I first charged up my belt which took about 5 hours and I had the belt on with the heat on max for about 6 times before it needed recharging. For me, that’s not really any good for me. On a bad day pain wise I could use that in just 3 hours before it needed charging again and you can’t really charge it while wearing the belt. But I understand of course. It’s only a little device about 1.5 inches square so the battery must be small, so to give off that power for such a small battery is impressive, it’s just I need a bigger battery that will go longer without the need to charge it so often. That’s basically the reason for the 3 out of 5 stars for me. The belt is great but the size you think you need isn’t the correct size and I suggest go for 2 sizes bigger than you need and the amount of cycles before it needs a recharge is around 6 and I made sure it was fully charged that first time. At present and bear in mind it’s only been a week I’ve had the belt, I think it’s made a difference but only because of the high heat it gives off. So at least it does work and it’s really a good support for the lower back. These are my own words and I was not offered anything in return for this feedback. Plaza

Good product well designed really helps support my lumbar and prolapsed disc.. Only thing id say is if you wear it under your shirt It does make you sweat.. Overall well made and worth the price...

The smell was overwhelming, I only wore it for 20 minutes. My clothes and body were left with a terrible odor!

Este articulo lo adquirí para mi padre que tiene constantes ataques de ciática, yo igual pero estoy ya con mas metal en el cuerpo que robocop, Bueno, nos ha sorprendido muy gratamente la calidad de los materiales, el velcro, las costuras y el agarre que tiene , mi padre en cuanto se la ha puesto le ha cambiado la cara , se mantiene en su sitio y no se da de si, compramos la 3xl ya qu el mide 1.96 y a pesar de estar en forma su circunferencia de cintura en amplia, parece que hemos acertado a la primera , se siente recogido , cómodo y ante todo que el prododucto cumple con su trabajo, con calidad, buena confección y muy buenas sensaciones, muy recomendable . Algo parecido , y digo parecido porque me refiero a algo mucho mas básico, en la ortopedia no bajaba de 90 euros. Y me quedo con esta sin dudarlo, os lo recomiendo, y el vendedor muy pendiente de si nos había llegado o no porque era urgente , todo de 10

Excellent support

I was recently changed in job positions. My new job requires me to lift a loy of heavy product. This back brace has helped me out a lot. I am a big girl and this fits perfect. It helps me remember to nit bend when lifting.
