Highly recommended
Excellent book! Have recommended it to others. Easy to do the exercises, and am noticing improvements in my vision already. The only thing I can think of that I would change in the book would be to gather the exercises in one place, either all in one section, or at the end of the relevant chapter. As it is, they're in the text body itself. No big deal, though. Well written, plenty of pictures, and several eye charts are included.

Eye opening!
I have glaucoma. I wanted to try and improve my vision; eye exercise seemed a good option. The book is clearly and interestingly written. I've highlighted the bits that describe the eye exercises so I can easily refer to them without trawling through everything. I have tried some of the exercises; too early for definite results yet; but it's totally logical and I'm sure my vision will improve; nothing to lose. Well worth buying for its insightfulness

A modern, practical take on dr Bates
Meir Schneider was legally blind for a big part of his life - yet, he managed to self-cure his condition. The book is a good compendium on major eye diseases alongside exercise sets for each. Easy to navigate and to follow, good exercises and some very good supporting research.

Could it really work?
I was so inspired by the story of Meir Schneider that I decided to read his book. He was born almost completely blind. Through sheer will to succeed, he learned the methods of William H. Bates, developed some of his own ideas, and eventually got to a level of sight so good that he could get a driver’s license. How could someone not want to learn his approach? Having worn glasses for over 30 years for my nearsightedness, I decided that I want to try to get rid of them so that I could buy the (hopefully) upcoming Apple Glasses and not need a prescription. It’s not really clear why his systems will work, but they seem reasonable and, in fact, enjoyable, so why not? He presents the idea of “sunning,” which is basically standing outside, closing your eyes, and swaying back and forth for a while. I enjoy the feeling of the sun on my face, so it’s an easy exercise. He also advises “palming,” which requires relaxing a lot and then gently covering your eyes with your hands. Staying in that position has a meditative result, so you finish and feel relaxed. He also says you should examine the details of everything around you, which helps you to stimulate the brain-eye connection. Along with going outside without glasses, which I’ve begun doing on my morning walks, he details several other techniques and says you need to do them for months, and maybe years. That’s a long recovery time, and I am not sure I have the patience to do it, but I’ll try it for a while. Schneider seems to have many followers who swear by his methods, so I’m game to try.
