20L for a large flat, helped reduce my winter heating bill
I had an older dehumidifier from 2012 which absolutely ate through my electric. It had a larger tank then this new one. And when we had a humidity problem, I was emptying the tank twice a day. Purchased this one recently, due to water flooding through my ceiling from the up stairs flat and the old de humidifier finally knackered. I still had water inside the non solid walls throwing my humidity levels up past 70. My flat has quite large rooms. So decided to get the 20L size to keep in the hall to do the whole flat, when I have got the humidity stable enough. So for weeks now, I have been moving the machine into a room and leaving to run for the day before rotating to a different room. The tank was taking around 17hrs to fill all the way up and was lowering the humidity down quickly. Turning off at bed time for 7hrs, the next day the humidity kept returning back up to around 63 and I had to keep repeating the process. Weeks later the machine is now only pulling half a tank of water a day. But the humidity is finally stabling around 49 in each room during the day and going up to 53 in the evening. Going into winter, so the heating is also helping now I expect? I’ve been using the same settings each day. Set to: High power and UV on. Selecting the machine to aim for 35 low humidity. So far it has only reached 41 as the lowest humidity. Doesn’t seem as strong as my last dehumidifier but it definitely reduced the highest humidity down quickly enough. As I can double check the humidity reading on a separate gadget I’ve got and they r reading the same numbers. It does seem to be taking its time getting the humidity down even further now there is not so much water in the air. When the humidity stabilises more, I will then switch to the low power mode and start opening the other hall doors, for it to hopefully work on the whole flat. From the position I have the machine in the hall. We can move past it ok without knocking into it. As the instructions state it has to be so far away from the wall or other objects. Before bed when I switch it off. I do push it back towards the wall more. Just in case one of us gets up in the night and bumps into it, being half asleep lol. But due to it not being so juicing on the electric bill, I’m very happy with the unit. It’s smart looking and not that noisy. I don’t even notice the noise it makes during the day. My kitchen and bathroom extractor fans make more noice then this machine. Can definitely hear the tv over it. The dog certainly doesn’t mind sleeping near it. As she’s got a second bed in another room to choose from. But when it blows out warmer air, I think she quite likes it lol. It certainly makes my hall warmer during the day when the heating hasn’t turned on. But also the opposite when it’s blowing its cooler air out mode. But I only notice that, when I’m walking past it. I haven’t fitted the charcoal filter yet for the air purifier. As I mainly got it for the dehumidifier. But I like the UV feature, if it’s sterilising the inside of the machine. I have also found it easier for me to keep the main filter clean. By just pulling it out every 3 days and running a hand held hoover over it, to remove the lint dust. The machine is quite heavy and I make good use of the casters, rolling it along to a different room. I have domed door bars on the wooden floor. So I just lift the machine from the bottom a little, just enough to roll it over the bar. The only thing I do not like is the handle for wheeling it along with. I find it very hard to lift the handle up from its flat storage position. I’ve only been able to flick it up quick when my nails are long. It seems to have a bit of resistance in its resting place. Once I manage to flick it a little way up, it’s then very easy to pull it up the rest of the way. But is very easily knocked back down to its flat position again. I’m glad I chose this machine and hope it lasts a long time. Mainly the controls are easy enough to figure out. Just a little confused on the smart setting. As using both the high and lower power, u can still set the humidity down to a low setting as your aim. What difference does the smart power do? Does it guess from high humidity readings that it needs to use high power. Then on low enough humidity, it switches to low power? I imagine that is how it works. But I personally want my humidity lowered ASAP, so have chosen high power to use. As I want as much water pulled out the air and will probably use that setting a lot come the summer. When our UK weather becomes very humid. The tank is very easy to pull out and empty. I usually turn the machine off at night and empty in the morning. Or turn it off and leave it at least 30mins before removing the water tank. That way you do not get any few left over drips falling out the machine. I also don’t let the tank get totally full. I wait until I can see the water about 3 inches from the top. I find it’s easier lifting it out and not spilling water. As water can splash out the top hole if you don’t keep the tank perfectly level. Plus a totally full tank is heavier and harder to keep level, when you have a tiny dog trying to trip you up. I also like when you switch it back on, it’s remembered your previous settings. So only need to press start again.Update: Now January 2021 and still running the machine everyday for around 12hrs, still on high setting. Realised I only have to use the UV for about 15mins a day to help keep it sterile inside the machine. The humidity reading on average is staying around 35 to 42 now. Can safely say it’s now dried all the inside of the walls out, that was caused from the flat above me. My wooden flooring has stopped feeling tacky but bone dry. Keeping all the hall doors open, I can see from the humidity readers I now have in every room from my paranoia, that they are all lowing as well. Which I sped up again, by using the machine once a week in each bedroom for a day. Then moving the machine back to the hall, which is the centre area of my flat. Bedrooms have stabilised to the humidity reading of between 41 when warm and 52 when cold at night if heating is off. The machine now takes 2 days to fill up just over half the tank with water as I’m only running for 12hrs a day now. But omg it’s made such a difference on my heating bill. Recently installed a smart meter in November. The machine doesn’t cost a lot to run and warms my hall up when it’s not on the cold blowing cycle. But with less humidity in our home then ever before, it’s costing me less to heat it. I’ve been able to turn my thermostat down. So comparing my combined energy bill to last year. I’m saving £10 a week. So the machine is paying for itself and reducing my bill more then what it is costing me to run it. In comparison to this time last year. I usually have my heating thermostat dial set on 25 to 26 in the coldest weather. I’m now putting it on 23 on the coldest days. Most of the time I’m finding the radiators off. Because the thermostat is turning them off, where the flat is retaining the heat so much better. Best value for money I have spent in years. It’s also caught the attention of most of my delivery guys. Who have caught sight of the machine from them standing outside my front door. They all ask me if it’s a heater? I have no radiator in the hall, but it does go through cycles of blowing out cold or Luke warm air. Whatever it’s doing, it warms my hall up more then it makes cold. Usually in the late evenings when my clothes dryer is finished, my hall and kitchen are bitter freezing. Not no more! But everyone who has noticed the machine, comments and likes the design of it. Someone on Amazon did ask the question of how much it costs to run the machine. I have replied back if anyone wants to check it out. Which I worked out from my own energy bill and smart meter at the time. Off the top of my head if memory serves, it was about £15 a month. But with it now saving me £10 a week in the winter on my heating bill, it’s win win for me.Update 17 0ct 2022. Machine is still working excellent. Reduced humidity over the summer again. And now the winter is here with the energy bills going sky high it been worth it’s waiting gold again. I haven’t even needed my heating on yet. This machine keeps the long hall and two big rooms in the flat (with doors left wide open) warmer from the little warm air blowing out, plus keeping the humidity down between 38 and 45 whilst running it, depending on the time of day. Only room I now have a smaller Meaco machine in as well, is my sons bedroom which is north facing and he always has the door closed. It takes a lot longer to dehumidify the room and has no uv light in it. So this larger machine can stay in the hall permanently now and reach the other rooms from where it is. Since my warranty is out I have opened the machine up to clean the dust off the internal coil’s twice now. Big hassle the first time last year undoing the whole of the machine. This year I only undone the rear, and luckily snapped the top 3 screws part off so cleanly, it still snaps together tightly so the uv light is still contained inside. Very impressed that there was absolutely no mould inside the machine. This is certainly one of my best buys ever. I just wished they would make the rear cover more accessible to undo and remove, for yearly maintenance to clean the coils easier. As of yet I still haven’t bothered to even use the carbon filter. Yet it still removes cooking smells from my flat whilst in dehumidifier mode. The pull out mesh filter is easy to hoover a few times a week, and washes up like new.

Condensation gone and smells fresher
This machine does a great job of extracting moisture from the air and has really dealt with our condensation issue. The amount of water in the reservoir impresses me every time i have to empty the water.Use the machine when cooking as well to reduce the smell and moisture.Laundry mode works as well, does dry clothes when used. The filters do an impressive job of removing odours and keeping the air fresh.Highly recommend.Machine is heavier than i expected but is larger to deal with a bigger house.

Extremely happy with this
I find this a hassle free dehumidifier, I leave mine on the smart setting where the dehumidifier turns itself on and off based on the humidity. When the dehumidifier is automatically off, the air purifier continues to run. What I love about itOn/off for circle light when in use (see photo)Costs me 1-2 pence an hour to runFixed my damp and condensation problemsMy asthma and allergies are better - love the air purifierOur home holds heat better and feels warmer. So why didn’t I give it five stars? The manufacturer says it works at low temperatures which is only half true. This is a refrigerant dehumidifier, they work best at 15 degrees centigrade or higher. At lower temperatures it’s mostly purifying the air. However, having said that, mine will take moisture out of a cold room (11-13 degrees centigrade) , it just takes many hours to do it.Whereas, if you run this dehumidifier in a warmer space it’s really amazing how quick it works. We now use this in conjunction with a desiccant dehumidifier which works faster in our colder spaces. In a centrally heater house this one is absolutely brilliant, can’t fault it. It feels like I’m breathing in fresh air when I’m inside. Love it.

Best thing since sliced bread.
It pulls the water out of the air efficiently and effortlessly keeping your home dry and with use over the winter should keep mold at bay. The hepper filter and uv cleaning the air as it works.Filled tank difficult to pull out however put a little soap on the runners it dose get easier.Great buy, puts heat back into your house on certain settings. The noise levels are low enough you can sleep with it close by.
