Stunning interior styling book by the stunning Emily Henderson! Really lovely photographs which I have not seen elsewhere, always a challenge with Pinterest and Instagram! Loaded with really good tips on how to style a variety of different things like your mantel, sofa, coffee table etc. The style quiz is a great fun element! Emily gives the reader tips on how to style one's home like a professional stylist, breaking it down into layman's language. I have many interior design books, and this one is completely different. This is definitely a HOW-TO book and for that reason I think it's going to appeal to a wide range of people, from professionals to those who don't have a clue about how to style their own homes. This one is going in the basket again, to be purchased for my sister who is going to LOVE IT!

If like me you enjoy interior design, this is a must-have. Even for someone like me who has had an interest in interior design for many years. I like the fact that the author focuses on re-organising, re-purposing and adapting stuff you already own rather than splashing out. Great advice and photographs. And the book looks great on a coffee table too.

I like this book, it is informative and the pictures are lovely. I have applied some of the tips around my home and it worked really well. This book wouldn't be for someone who likes the minimal look. It would suit those of us who are like me, a bit bohemian. Some of the vignettes I felt were a bit impractical, unless you have a huge home. I love the layering illustrations, it is not something I would have thought of doing, but it works and looks fab. All in all it is a great reference guide with unusual design ideas and fun!

I simply love this book and have already read through it several times! The photography is gorgeous and the tips are very helpful and creative. Emily encourages you to mix things up when decorating your home and I love the eclectic and creative look she has given the rooms that she has included on the book. While the book gives example of how to create great interior shots for for instance a blog, these tips are easily transferred to creating a stylish and well presented home.

I absolutely loved every single thing about this book. Emily had me eager to turn the page and find out what treasure laid ahead. The images are beautiful and the amount of practical information Emily provides is invaluable. This is not your everyday table top book this is your personal journey to creating a stunning home. 10 out of 10.

This book has a massive twist on any other decorating book I've ever read: it's by a highly experienced stylist on interiors photoshoots, and it's about how to ARRANGE your house to look better.... Forget knocking down walls and doing a loft extension, it's the simple art of arranging stylishly the things you already own. First in the book, Henderson will have you thinking about what your core style is, via an extensive quiz, so that you know whether you're aiming for minimalist or something more busy and vintage. Secondly, transform your space: ten steps for getting on with it, including making a moodboard and using a camera to help you 'see' where it's not working. Then there are specific chapters on each area of the house with specific tricks and hints, from creating a gallery wall to arranging things in rows. It's bizarre, fussy, and yet it totally sorts a room out. I just love this book and I'm already learning so much from it, having only just bought it. BRILLIANT.

Wanted to love this as I really like the stylist's website. And the content of the book seems good. But I had assumed the book itself would be coffee table quality in its production and so nice to handle and that isn't the case here. It's printed on thin, shiny paper which means that images show through from other pages, and you can't read it with any kind of directed light as the reflected glare obscures the images. The pages are actually wavy rather than lying flat which I assume is because the paper is too thin for the volume of image print. I spent a while holding it at an awkward angle to avoid the glare of my reading light, and smoothing out the pages in order to see the images clearly, but it was a disappointing experience and I don't feel value for money.

I LOVE this book!! Plenty of practical tips, beautiful pics. You can see that Emily put a lot of effort to share her professional background in a easy way to understand. She wants the reader to get inspired by colours, shapes, textures.

This is the best book for people who want to immediately start improving their home style. It's very practical and gives some solid advice on how to arrange things, match colours, etc.

Excellent book that explains the basics of Interior design, very logically and simply. I have personally gathered these tips over the years and am happy to see Ellen compile and present them beautifully. Starting from identifying your personal style to creating vignettes, placing pictures on the wall, pairing complementary palletes etc Highly recommended. 5 stars

I've been a fan of Emily Henderson since she won Design Star on HGTV years ago so I was happily anticipating her book and wasn't disappointed since her and I have a very similar style. I find inspiration and ideas all through this book but I can see how those with a minimal aesthetic or more traditional style would be disappointed. Emily's style definitely leans to mid-century and boho, as many reviewers have pointed out, and many of the rooms she designs and showcases fall into one or both of those categories. The inside look at this book on Amazon features many pictures that are true to those styles so If you aren't a fan of what you see there, don't buy it...there's a lot more of the same on the inside pages. One of the things I like best about Emily is that she sometimes thinks "outside of the box" in some of her design choices and I enjoy the unexpected quirkiness she can bring to a room. I like a bit of "organized clutter" on a bookshelf and think a coffee tablescape is a great way to make a living room more inviting. If you are into that, Emily offers some great tips. The only thing about this book that I didn't care for was the style test. If styling or designing a home is your vocation, it might be a good tool for evaluating a potential clients' style but it didn't help me and was a wasted chapter in an otherwise very informative book.

enjoyable - Emily has a great voice; lots of pretty pictures to look at and some great tips. As an avid amateur home decorator, this book was more helpful than many in terms of inspiring some attainable improvements to my own home.
