This phone was purchased for someone with hearing difficulties who had largely been unable to use their landline phone.It's well packaged and was simple to get set up. The handset and cable are disconnected, so a small amount of simple assembly is required. The phone needs four AAA batteries to make the amplification work - it would have been nice to see these included in the box.Once plugged in, it worked immediately with no issues. Programming the speed dial numbers is straightforward. The speed dial numbers have a grey areas for noting what they do, but this proved resistant to almost every pen/pencil we tried. It's not removable, so I suggest putting little stickers to label the buttons.The phone does work without the extra batteries - they are only needed for volume boosting, so no risk of the phone not working in an emergency. The speed-dial programming is not lost if the batteries go dead - they are retained just from the very low power provided by the phone socket itself.The volume boost works really well, and the ring tone is VERY loud (plus the light flashes).

At last a phone I can hear people on, even without the batteries for extra loudness. Clean, clear sound, loud ring. Had so many BT approved phones that were useless or horribly complicated, or simply died. This is really easy and functional for a 70 year old with slightly impaired hearing. I hope it will last a long time.

Our first impression is very good. Simple to use and much louder than the last phone we had. Grandpa's hearing is poor and he was missing calls due to not hearing the ringer of the last phone (which I thought was already quite loud). However, being that this phone is significantly louder, he no longer misses as many calls. The buttons are also fairly large and clearly marked and the in-call volume has loud settings too.

The sound quality is awful , I bought for my wife’s 91 year old mother , buttons fine easy to use and the auto dial stored numbers were a boomHowever the volume level distorted badly when increased , the tone control was worse than useless , all in all a phone for hard of hearing not worth the money sound quality well below standard required for a phone that is primarily for the hard of hearing

dEasy to use and good idea to have memory buttons and place beside them to write the name.Phone was pretty loud and had tone control but had to blue tac that in place to stop it slipping about.Replacing the reciver was not a very definite fit so easy to place the wrong way round for my elederly aunt.Worst thing was it lost all the memory numbers 2 or 3 times for no apparent reaon. Then started having problems with line interference for some calls to the point they were inaudible.Replaced with enwer model with anamplifier that is louder and clearer but unfortunately doesnt have a place to write beside the memory buttons.

Great phone for a elderly lady whos hearing is extremely bad. She no longer has a dificulty carrying a on a telephone conversation.Excellent volume and clarity, when set there is no need to use the volume boost button. The volume "warning" sticker is useful when the phone has to be used by a normal hearing person when the volume can be turned down to normal levels.Indeed when the volume was increased I was able to hear the two way conversation in the next room to the phone, (doors open)!The number memory store is very easily programed .. I would recomend the use of a "black" fine line felt tip marker with eraseable ink such that contacts can easily be changed as necessary!

This has been a lifesaver for my parents at this time of isolation . My mother was admitted to hospital but my father has been able to stay in touch with both her and the family. He’s always found the telephone difficult because of poor hearing but this has given him the confidence to keep in touch. Excellent product.
