Heavy duty vice clamp with serious clamping strength.
This table vice is solidly made with large 4.5' forged steel jaws and body with a wide 4.3" opening to secure mid sized pipes and pieces of wood for cutting. It has 4 mounting holes and included bolts to secure to your worktable as well as a large area clamp with rubber protectors to prevent damaging your work surface. Once mounted there is a lever which can be released to allow the clamp to swivel to get the best position to hold your pipe. The large jaws open and close smoothly and also have removable rubber protectors if you're worried about marring the surface of whatever they are holding. The jaws have both a flat face and a beveled face below that to hold flat pieces of wood or tubes like pipes and poles without slipping. The anvil on the rear is small and isn't good for much, you should make sure the vice is closed before hammering anything so that the anvil head is supported by the body of the clamp below rather than hanging in the air when the jaws are open. Great table clamp for homeowners, DIYers and casual wood/pipe workers.

Nut cracker!
I no longer have to venture into the garage with my bag of nuts to use the papa vice! The only thing that sucks is the leaver to crank the vice. Its so small. It is difficult to use, understanding of course that this is a vice and not a nut cracker. Im sure it works fine as a vice. I really wouldn't know.I do have to wear oven mitts to protect my hands as i turn the leaver, to crack the nut.Its to bad the leaver isn't much, much bigger - to crack the nuts. But again, i suppose it is a vice and not a nut cracker.Maybe once i find a use for it, other then nut cracking, ill return and give it more stars. But my husband did say "well, isn't that a nice little vice you got there". So i suppose thats something.

It's a vice!
The media could not be loaded. It's a vice! I was putting together a shelving unit that I had just received and true to form after not paying close attention to the directions (dyslexic, LOL) I needed to remove a cap from the end of a post and I couldn't get it out because it required more hands. I remembered having also gotten this vice and thought it would be the answer to my dilemma! It was! I clamped the onto my night table. The clamp mechanism worked great held tightly to the table. The vice grip - easy to use, heavy duty and appears well made. It's small but that's ok, the mouth opens very wide and it's perfect for me.A good little vice for an excellent price!

Good enough to be called a vise and be useful.
I worked in electronics, automated machines, machine tools, etc. and have always had a need for a way to hold things while i was soldering, filing, cutting, fitting, all the many, many things that you need a vise for."Real" vises are hardly portable, often over 50 lbs. by themselves. And I have attempted to work with many "hobby" vises in various degrees of horrible. They bend, break, slip, and often the only thing holding them together is the leadscrew. You often have to hold the jaws in alignment and the workpiece while tightening. Many are just raw castings and are floppy and sloppy and miserable to work with. I had a couple of the best at work, but now that I'm retired I miss their handiness. I wouldn't normally buy such a thing unseen, but I looked the pictures over closely, and being offered for review, I thought I'd take the chance so you don't have to. It looked pretty good in the picture, like a vice and it's made of ferrous forgings and quite heavy for it's size.I got it today, and let myself be surprised. It's actually a miniature vice and it looks like it was built by people who know what's important for a working tool. The movable jaw and the body are dovetailed together for a good fit and little slop. The leadscrew is about 12mm and is actually acme threaded ! The jaws are held parallel and serrated, they also are removable and replaceable and have soft covers for surfaces that might be damaged. I doubt that you would be able to break anything without a cheater on the handle. The table clamp would probably let go before you hurt the vice. No, it's not for pipefitting and I wouldn't take the "anvil" too seriously, but as far as hobby vises go, I think they can call it "Heavy Duty". It does need a dab of grease on the lead screw and I had to adjust the 12mm. torque retaining nut on the bottom to my liking for the swivel. The swivel is a little rough, I can feel that it's painted and should get better as that wears off. It's actually more like a small bench vise than the hobby vises I've seen. The table clamp is fairly robust and has about an 11mm. screw. It also has rubberlike covers to protect surfaces. It almost got a 5 but the top surface of the ways are painted so the clearance will increase as the paint wears. But I'm impressed enough that I will buy another if I need two.

I Love This Little Vise!
Its versatile, it has fantastic grip, and rotates! What’s not to love??I’ve put this little vise to use in a variety of applications since I received it; from drilling starter holes in wood, to bending metal, to finishing edges. It has performed wonderfully in each of those use cases!Bear in mind, this vise is on the small side, which means it is for light duty jobs… But if you work alone often and find yourself in need of an extra set of hands from time to time, this vise serves as an excellent replacement.I know this vise is going to see a lot of use in my garage. As a result, I’m very happy I have it! Odds are you will feel the same if you need a little extra grip and stability during your household projects and fixes.

Very nice little vice
I've been looking for something similar for my work bench for a little while. It's always been one of those things that would have been handy at times but not a must have for me. This vice is nice because it's a bit smaller and can be moved around on your work bench (or removed when not needed). I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the vice. As long as you give it a good tighten when you attach it to your bench it works very well and doesn't move around. The vice itself adjust very smoothly and even came with a couple of rubber pieces that attach to the clamps in case you are clamping something you don't want to damage. Honestly I'll probably end up losing those at some point but it is a nice little bonus. Overall very happy with this product and would recommend.
