Bothy Threads Cross Stitch Kit - Kings and Queens

I am in the process of completing this at the moment. It has taken weeks to do and whilst I enjoyed doing it I have to say that outlining it is driving me insane! The problem is the tiny outlines around ears, fingers, noses, mouths. Also stitching with the gold thread was a nightmare. If you are new to cross stitch I think you should perhaps start on something a little less ambitious. Having said that it does look really good and once framed it will look amazing. Have attached a pic of my work in progress.

As always a beautiful kit.Clear instructions and everything you need enclosed.Highly recommended, my son loves everything I do for him.I always feel so excited once I've got to the point where its time to do the over stitch.It simply comes alive!

This was a winter project, took from October to February , each little figure took about 3 hours & was a fun project in itself, so finishing one at a time keeps you going. The only issue was the bead work..needle provided was impossible to thread with the recommended gold thread - you need a needle threader but the eye of the needle is too small to pull needle threader + gold thread back thru. I had to use invisible nylon thread (which is stiffer) with no needle threader. Also easier to use would be flexible eye needles - easy to thread but fine enough to go thru the bead eye. Apart from that this is a very professionally put together kit, very clear & straightforward.. and plenty of extra thread in case of mistakes, which makes a change . I used a 6" dia. round hoop frame & just moved it along with the work.

Wow, what a fantastic family heirloom. Lot bigger than I thought. Takes a long time to do but so worth it.

Very pleased with this cross stitch. I love the design. Very amusing. Also easy to follow instructions.

This is an example of what we wish every kit would be. Everything you need is in the kit. Floss is already sorted and on the holder. The instructions are clear, as are the graphs. They even provide a brief summary of each king and queen (with dates) to clarify why each is depicted the way he or she is. Total fun.

Love this kit! Larger than expected, I guess I didn’t pay much attention to the dimensions! Very detailed instructions and includes everything you need.
