Modern Birch Semi Flush Ceiling Light with Clear & White Leaves by Happy Homewares [Energy Class A]

I bought this product for my mother. She has a small bungalow in the West Highlands of Scotland and felt that the bar of spotlights on her dining room ceiling that I had put up for her ten years or so ago had become rather dated and she was right. After a short discussion we decided on this as a replacement for her light fitting. It is a modern bungalow and so has not the high ceilings of older properties where you could have fitted a chandelier or hanging lamp, you would have been constantly bumping your head. This drops only a few inches from the ceiling making it safe for even the tallest of guests. Despite it being close to the ceiling it is beautifully designed and when lit, draws the eye immediately. It's classic style and seeming frailty (in fact it is well made and reasonably sturdy) just makes it all the more impressive. It uses small candle bulbs (or lamps dependent upon your location) that are artfully hidden within the leaves. None the less it gives out a dazzling light in my mothers dining room. Please note that it is only a small room, I suspect that it is perhaps twelve to sixteen feet to a side and a perfect square. I am unsure that it would be quite so "dazzling" in a large space. I thought that it looked lovely when first installed and certainly does the job required of it. It lights the room brightly and completely and looks much better in real life than it does on the picture on Amazon. In fact It is almost like having a ceiling sculpture.I really like it, It looks lovely, it lights the room completely and better still was very easy to install. Much better still, my mother loves it and many of her visitors comment upon it (which she likes).

I thought I wrote a review on this already. The Willow 4 light semi flush ceiling light is a lovely lighting. It is neat and pleasing to the eye.I had an electrician install it, therefore it, obviously, easy for him to set up. I should add it could be set up so that it has a, slight, cupping effect of the celling, or the other way the leaves are spread out.If you are sure of the effect you want to achieve (cupped shape, or straight, spread out shape) be very careful when you put it together. Check the shape when you put it together, before fixing onto ceiling.I should add, the change of shape is quite subtle, that you could live with it, if it's set up to give an effect other than you anticipated.

Have bought lights from the seller before and as described, perfect for the room

I ordered two of these lovely ceiling lights - they are actually more attractive than the photo shown. The chrome on each fitting is very sturdy and half of the 'leaves' are a clear prism effect and the others are opaque. I should have ordered the bulbs at the same time but for some reason I didn't. The light fittings were put up and looked fabulous - I bought some bulbs and put them in.......only 3 lights out of four worked on both fittings - must've been a bad batch that's all - one of the screw sockets on each one was sort of bent slightly so when I tried to screw the bulbs in, it wasn't fitting flush like the others (so I guess it can't make contact as it should). As I had paid to have the light fittings put up, I didn't want to have them taken down again to return them, and to be honest the 3 remaining bulbs give a nice ambient light on each fitting. This is why I have given these particular lights only four stars -- they are still gorgeous and as I said, they both probably came from a faulty batch. I would still recommend them but before you put them up - just check that all the bulbs will screw in properly and it will be fine

Fit and good quality

Fantastic lights bought 3 for a large hallway, The hallway has transformed from a dull, dim and depressing area to a wonderfully bright and warm place. The chrome effect provides reflection for the whole space. Excellent value for money. Bought a 4th light for an upper smaller hall and that too made a huge difference, the light is a beautiful and elegant design and I have to say stylish, they look more expensive than they are. Take no attention to the reviews that refer to fuses blowing, that can only be attributed to a buyer who obviously does not know anything about electrical wiring!
