Exemplary sound quality - well done Arcam.
Actually the other good reviews are completely right. This really is a very good device. The only thing that lets it down, just a little, is the lightness of the casing. It would be nicer if it were a bit more reassuringly weighted. That's the only negative though. Other than that, it's simplicity itself to use - just press and hold the only button to put into pairing mode, search for it on your device and connect. Then play music on your device. The sound quality is exemplary: it sounds better than my iPod Classic piped directly into the hifi via a Pure i20 dac, which sounded pretty good already! Basically, streaming music sounds, to me, as good as my hifi (Rotel and Q Acoustics) could reasonably ever be expected to sound. As a side note, I bought this as a replacement to a Logitech unit (you know the one) which cost about twenty quid - that lasted all of 8 months before it just fizzled out and died. In comparison, this is proper hifi - that was just IT. Also there are no annoying pops, beeps or bangs as it disconnects or reconnects, or between tracks. The Arcam handles this stuff silently. I just hope that it lasts longer than the Logitech, and can stand being permanently connected and powered up - these are plug in and forget devices essentially. Well done Arcam.

I've recently bought this after owning the more expensive Audioengine B1. I loved the Audioengine device too but experienced technical difficulties with it after owning it for a year - perhaps due to me purchasing a used one from Amazon warehouse. So far the Arcam MiniBlink compares very favourably and is £50 cheaper. This device is smaller than the Audioengine and I haven't noticed any drop in sound quality. The bluetooth seems just as reliable as the Audioengine one was too. Sound quality is excellent as you would expect, and enable me to listen to audio stored on my computer via my stereo.Still not cheap, but after a few weeks of owning the Arcam I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend it above the Audioengine B1, mainly due to the fact that it costs approximately £50 less and seems to deliver the same high quality output.

Quite simply my buy of the year
I don't often post reviews but the quality of the Arcam Miniblink has compelled me to take up me laptop. There are some great technical reviews on here that cover sound quality and compressions etc... and whilst I am a lover of great music (in my opinion) I am in no way technically adept so if you are I suggest you read those. So why is this so good. It is very easy to set up taking seconds with everything you need in the box, it connects perfectly with my 15 year old amp, it is pocket sized. Sound quality is to my ear superb and range is equally excellent. So what I have is access to my complete iTunes library plus I am now getting excellent stereo sound quality for any tracks I want to explore on Spotify and other music sites as well as stereo TV capability from my laptop. You def get what you pay for and this is worth every penny so don't settle for anything less

Good but no "off" button
It's a neat product and the sound quality is good. However, be aware that unlike many other bluetooth receivers, there is no "off" button: you can only terminate a bluetooth connection by action at the sending device, or by disconnecting the power cable to the Arcam device. This presented a problem when used from my (Samsung) smart TV, since to disconnect I had to navigate the TV's complex menus. Consequently I returned it. The seller, HiFix, was prompt and efficient and I received a full refund quickly.

Added lifespan for older HiFi separates and speakers, get that quality reproduction from your old kit married to the new.
Easy to connect up to the stereo, simple connection via bluetooth, and away you go. I have this connected to my old HiFi components from the 1990s. My HiFi components were expensively assembled back than, Technics with Acoustic Energy AE109 bi-wired speakers. Now with the Blibk unit I have my entire iPod catalogue, 900 audiobooks, 1000 albums, available in high quality, deep, resonant proper sound and not via headphones, I can fill a room with sound, and it sounds amazing. There is a little drop out if you walk between the computer and Blink unit, but with line of sight there are few issues, even the cat sniffing round the Blink unit doesn't affect the quality of sound. The unit is very small, it looks like a highly polished black shiny pebble ofWhitby Jet, it is so simple to use there are just three instructions on the box. What pleases me most is that this unit has given renewed life and vigour to my old stereo components, and the improvement in the quality of the sounds reproduction through the bi-wired speakers iis superb.

Awful - buy any other product instead of this one.
Unreliable (occasionally crashes and has to be reset), glitchy (occasional random audio noise - very damaging to both ears and speakers), unusable for video as the audio gets out of sync etc... I tried this product with 5 different Bluetooth transmitters and 4 different PCs/devices but this Arcam product is consistently buggy. The latest firmware (built-in software) is still clearly buggy and has not been fixed (or has been written so badly that they cannot fix it or find all the bugs) - they should have scrapped the firmware and paid someone else to develop a new reliable version. I bought a competitor's product that works great with all my Bluetooth transmitters and PCs/devices.
