GPO Ambassador Stand-Alone Bluetooth Turntable Record Player with Built-in Speakers, Suitcase Record Player to Record MP3 with RCA Connection, Cream and Tan

I brought this for my partner and wanted a record player that was quality made and was bluetooth enabled so I could link it to my speaker. First impressions of the record player from in the box I was certainly not disappointed in the construction quality and the look. Really worth paying the extra to get a very smart and we'll finished unit. The box was well packed and comes with charging / power cable. Yes it has a battery, as yet haven't worked out how long it lasts but it hasn't ran out on us. Also in the box is a usb stick but haven't tried this feature. It was easy to connect the bluetooth speaker to the unit and finds it every time and the reason I do this is so we can listen to the music in any room we are without moving the record player. The sound quality is great when you turn the volume to max on the record player then adjust volume on the bluetooth speaker. This prevents the hiss noise that you can get. It's played all the records we have and it's jumped a couple times but that's due to poor vinyl quality (scratches) not the record player. In all we are very impressed with the record player and would Def recommend.

I imagine all these record players sound pretty poor through the tiny built in speakers, this one does however it is smooch better when connected to a decent bluetooth speaker. Its not hifi but it is ok for what it is.

Had this delivered from the A W, only to find it doesn’t work. I assumed, that things were tested before despatched from there, but it was obviously a return, which hadn’t been tested. Very disappointed as I have bought from there in the past with no problems. Have just ordered another one from the manufacturer, so I will report back, when I can actually hear something ! Update: I have now returned said player and received a full priced one which works. Cons: Poor speaker quality, I would not recommend buying this unless you plan to get connected via Bluetooth to further speakers. I effortlessly paired it to my sound bar, though I was told by GPO, that some sound bars don’t. Had it not, I would have got a £20 stand alone Bluetooth speaker. As a septugenarian, I find the settings for the speed and other things almost impossible to read, very small and just raised bits of plastic, a case of getting very close to window and use of a torch, so be warned !!! All in all, I’m satisfied with it for the price, you get what you pay for! I shall increase my star rating from one to four.

Overall this is ideal for letting my daughter scratch that vinyl bug she got. Worked well straight out of the box, connected to her Bluetooth headset fine, line out worked to a soundbar and abba was blasting out just great, USB play back worked flawlessly as well Inbuilt speakers are shall we say "weak" but did the job lacked bass though but they are tiny, The inbuilt battery worked great for the short test we gave it. Nice that there was a usb stick included along with the line out cables, One thing i did was to download the manual onto the USB stick so she can transfer it too her laptop later. Sure its no Audio specialist level bit of kit, but then its not priced anywhere near that level, given that most records will be 2nd hand from the days of big box Currys budget hi-fis its a great nostalgia trip and works fine. You can upgrade the needle(stylus) if you want , but for blasting out a bit of Wham or Abba probably not needed Overall made a great gift and i was impressed at how well everything worked

We found the sound quality to be good and the unit easy to operate. We are looking forward to the summer when we can take it with us on picnics and to be able to use it beside the swimming pool without fear of being electrocuted. We discovered that we were unable to connect Bluetooth headphones to it, and it would have been nice if we could have connected our phone to it to use it as an amplifier. I bought this after looking for a long, long time for a suitable retro record player. This completely meets the need. The build quality is excellent and looks and feels authentic. I have coupled it with the large matching GPO Westwood speaker and play records via the Bluetooth link. Both are excellent. A couple of things I've noticed in the last couple of days. If you have the volume turned right down on this the Signal to Noise filter struggles a bit and the audio cuts in and out with a pop at the beginning of a record and in between tracks. Personally I think they should have designed it without this feature and let it crackle! Turn the volume right up and it's not so bad. There is no noise filter if streamed to a Bluetooth speaker as it appears to be digitised raw. Self contained speakers are OK but I prefer using the Westwood and turn the speaker down if I don't want it too loud. Secondly if you listen through the Westwood then put the Ambassador volume to max. Anything less than max and there's a nasty hissing whine coming through the speaker. Again controlling the volume via the Westwood with the Ambassador on max cures this niggle. All in all, I love this already! It really looks wonderful in our dining room next to the speaker and I look forward to many an evening whiling away a few hours listening to some old classics!

I honestly don't know why there are so many positive reviews on this, I assumed that I had just been unlucky and got a faulty unit as this product ticked all the boxes for me. I wanted something compact for occasional use, the battery meant it would be portable and could move from room to room and the Bluetooth meant I could connect it to any of the speakers in the house. It was supposed to be a birthday gift from my kids for a special birthday and I spent a long time researching based on customer reviews. The first one arrived and it would not connect to any Bluetooth device and the battery would not hold a charge but at least the turntable worked. So I arranged a return and in the meantime listened to some records. I got about 3 hours of use out of it before the turntable got slower and slower then gradually stopped spinning, this was when plugged in on mains! So I returned it and got a replacement. The replacement didn't even make it out of the box as I opened it to find that the arm was snapped and the end with the stylus was hanging on my a thread! By this stage I thought I had the worst luck as all of these positive reviews couldn't possibly be wrong so I thought 3rd time lucky and ordered another replacement. Things were looking good when it arrived, I plugged it in and tested it, Bluetooth and battery seemed fine, sound quality was good, we had a winner! Then after approximately 6 hours of use the motor started to fail and the turntable got slower and slower again, just like the first one and finally it failed once more. I would avoid this unit at all costs as it clearly is badly made with absolutely no QA in the process. It promises so much, it certainly looks beautiful and the sound is great when it works but after 3 attempts at buying a working unit I have finally given up. Which is a shame as I cannot find an alternative that promises everything that this does, but unfortunately in my case it has delivered on none of those promises.

Item arrived promptly looks nice, purchased to replace a poor quality cheaper version Sound quality from on board speakers very poor, surprising for item of this price, sound is thin and lacking any base not much better than the version I returned that was half the price.. Streaming to Bluetooth sound bar works well except there is a strong background hum and rumble but sound is better Recording to memory stick works well Generally disappointing, didn't expect too much but did expect better sound quality.

Bonjour dans le mode d emplois il est écrit que le bras reviens automatiquement a sa position initiale a la fin du disque le mien ne le fait pas est ce un default?
