Excellent unit, robust, easy to use, auto ranging but no Max/Min memory on the Non-contact ammeter.
I needed an additional multi-meter for the various appliance fixing work I do and I decided to try one with a non-contact ammeter attachment. Always wary about Chinese "who?!" branded equipment but thought I'd try this.It turned out to be a very robust unit, built as well as any Bosch, B&D unit I've had before. It can be held and operated in one hand (RH) with your thumb turning the dial select and your trigger finger opening and closing the ammeter arms. The red plastic surround is slightly more grippy than the rest of the case. The leads have effective strain relief at both ends and the exposed probes ends are firmly in the casing (rated at 10A).I've tried all the functions and everything works well. For the continuity test, after turning the dial to this option you have to press select to cycle through the options for this setting (Diode, capacitors, resistance, continuity). There is a non-contact voltage detector, this will detach voltage in live plugs and wall sockets, but not in wires embedded in plaster walls.I tried the non-contact ammeter on my car's battery and it worked fine. But note: there is no Max/Min memory for this - so you can't measure the maximum amp drain when starting unless you can see the meter as you start your car (and even then it may peak too quickly). This is the only downside I've found with this unit. (Finally realised that you can't read the amps in a normal power cord that has the positive and negative wire in the same sheaf - they cancel each other out and you get a near-zero reading!)Excellent unit, robust, easy to use, auto ranging but no Max/Min memory on the Non-contact ammeter.

Good Value For Money
Having used a Fluke for many years I have to say I was a little disappointed with this. It's solid enough and the build is OK, albeit I would be happier if the probe plugs and the sockets in the meter were plated with something rather than just plain copper. In addition, the meter constantly registers a voltage reading when nothing is connected to it. Now I can understand that may be correct ( I in fact checked and they all do that, it's not a faulty unit ) , but it's disconcerting. I really don't think a clamp-meter has to be this sensitive. The Fluke was far better because it didn't flicker about all over the place. This is sensitive to 1mv which is too much if you ask me. The probe leads aren't very flexible. Also there should be some way to fix the positive to the back of the meter so that people with less than three hands can probe connections!. Even so much as a crocodile clip would have helped there, but just two probes is a bit hopeless.Last complaint, the supplied batteries aren't Alkaline so a real danger that they will leak and ruin the unit.Having said all that, they are really pretty minor complaints, I think this is a great unit for the DIY'er. Just don't expect to much of it and it's really great.

Cheap quality clamp meter with noise issues
Cheapest clamp meter on Amazon with dc current abilities. When unit is measuring via wires no issues. When wires not attached clamp picks up various noise and amplifies it to give constant readings of the air around.Upon placing it over a wire containing at least 500ma (0.5 amp) then the clamp meter ignores the noise and reads correctly. Has a bright led back light and 2nd led torch light pointing at the clamp direction.

Good Meter
I purchased this for the clamp meter and for more rugged work on vehicles both 12v and 24v. My good meters were getting destroyed with grime. This is a good meter for the price. Everything seems to work ok. Readings are good when compared with more expensive meters. In fact it was more accurate then one of my better meters. Clamp meter reads ok for any low amp tests I carried out. My only complaint is the dial and button select take a bit of getting used to. If you are capable of needing a multimeter you should have no problem using it.

Budget? but not even that for me.
Started badly as I was really looking forward to having a meter with DC current clamp but the clamp didn't even work reading volts on either scale. Forgetting about the clamps I tried the leads and found the readings to be slow when responding to change. Continuity buzzer was terrible and at this point I gave up testing and packed it back up to send it back. The way this meter worked for me may be down to the clamp not working and other board faults being showing when testing.I will save up for a decent meter with a DC current clamp so I can't recommend it, bear in mind I've used all types of meters over many years in the service industry so I'm not new to using one.

Most versatile Multimeter I have ever bought
This is a great piece of kit that compares to some of the high end versions very well. The fact that it can measure inductive load both in ac and dc is great as no all do both . It also has a non touch live sensor that allows you to see if a circuit is hot without actually needing to access the circuit - very handy to have incorporated in this tool. Auto-ranging scales means you don't have to worry about setting the right scale too much either. A good backlight means you can use this at night or dark confined places with ease.I wish I'd bought one years ago.

Top quality device
Coming from an engineering background, I take great pleasure from good measuring instruments. This is one. Especially after I made the mistake of buying a multimeter from Maplin which I cursed but put up with for many years, I finally decided to throw it away and get a good replacement. This is so far superior it is a pleasure to use. The build quality is good, though not extravagant. It feels reasonably heavy duty, with good quality leads and a strong sprint on the clamp, the two halves of which are nicely aligned. The buttons are reassuringly stiff and clicky. The instructions are good and indicate that someone took a pride in the product. It takes 3 AAA batteries (supplied).I don't have a better device to calibrate it against but after a few experiments I have a strong feeling that it is a top quality measuring device. Given the price (currently £26.99) I would say you can't go wrong.
