Wacom Press buttons Remote Control - Black/Grey, K100826

This very useful and versatile computing tool is a great candidate for my personal top five professional gadgets of the century so far. There are non-professional solutions that offer similar or even more extensive features (such as a gaming keyboard or a 'hacked' Playstation motion controller), but nothing matches the EKR for its sleek looks and its portable ergonomic design and functionality. All of the other solutions are larger and clumsier to use. The build is one of the features I most enjoy. Its very solid shell feels like a metal alloy and my fingers enjoy leap-frogging through the buttons which have just the right amount of travel and click action considering they hardly seem to move. It feels surprisingly tough and hefty for just a small 'clicker', so it feels like the professional companion it's meant to be to the Wacom products. The markings and general ergonomic design make it easy to use. The built-in sleep timer is a great feature especially since the sliding switch turns it back on immediately and within one or two seconds it is back in sync with the receiver. Add to that the fact the battery lasts ages and you soon realise you won't have to worry about powering it. Don't be fooled by the EKRs specialised and elite origins. Here, promiscuity is a virtue! Though it was originally designed to be used specifically with the Cintiq 27HD from what I've seen and understand the EKR can be used with a slew of devices. I use mine with my Intuos pro tablets and on its own with almost all the software on my PC. (TIP: This is what Wacom should include with the special edition Intuos to make it really special! What a sexy team!) I've seen it used with tablet-PCs that don't use a Wacom digitizer. Basically, it has its own drivers and wireless receiver so it can stand alone as a universal software controller. I would think even gamers would get a big kick out of it. It's easily programmed, allowing you to quickly adapt it to whatever software you're using. Then you're away! Flying through tasks that used to take a lot longer. Use it wisely and you may never have to touch your keyboard! It makes a great remote for presentations and audio/visual playback!

Having more buttons to assign keyboard shortcuts massively speeds up my workflow. Battery life is amazing. There is a lag when using the zoom wheel, which is bizarre given thee is no lag when using the same wheel on the intuos tablet. It would also be great if you could change the auto power off to never, at least when it is wired, as I sometimes have to switch it back on if I have not used it for (5 mins I think but not sure) - it just adds extra time to switch it back on, but overall this is well worth the money and has already paid for itself in time saved.

The Wacom Press Buttons Remote Control is just what I needed for my 13 HD CINTIQ much easier and take up less space than using a keyboard. excellent product.

Expensive but certainly improves productivity so good value

Just about worthy of 3 stars, but I can't forgive the auto-off timer. It's frankly ridiculous, you can't disable it. My rechargeable mouse and keyboard last weeks between charges without switching themselves off so why can't this? Quality is exceptional though, just a bizarre design deficiency spoils the user experience completely.

Achat correcte Positif : -Fonctionne correctement, je n'ai eu aucun lag, non réponse d'un bouton ou bug pour l'instant. -L'intégration directe sur le driver de Wacom est utile et bien faite malgré le nombre de boutons. -Batterie suffisament grosse, je n'ai eu à la charger qu'une fois après 2/3 semaines d'achat et d'utilisation (non intensive). -Il est possible d'afficher le niveau de batterie sur la droite de la barre des tâches (icônes système Windows) depuis le driver. -Semble solide et ni trop légère ni trop lourde pour ne pas être tenable en main longtemps. Négatif : -Relativement grosse, elle tient dans ma main sans problème mais accéder aux boutons de la colone proche de mon pouce et tout en haut est plutôt compliqué. Mais ce n'est pas un gros problème, il y a suffisament de boutons pour ne pas lier des actions très fréquentes à ceux-là et sinon il suffit de poser la télécommande pour ne plus avoir ce problème, ne serait-ce que temporairement. -Quelques fois le driver me signal un niveau de batterie faible pourtant il est toujours indiqué à 100% sur le driver et l'icône système et la télécommande fonctionne toujours après une semaine, je suppose donc que c'est un bug de la notification du driver ? Heureusement que les autres compteurs restent fiables. -La roulette circulaire tactile en haut de la télécommade n'est pas actualisée suffisament fréquemment pour être fluide lors d'un zoom/rotation ou du changement de taille d'un outil. Je l'ai donc désactivée même si je ne pense pas que je l'aurais utilisée de toute façon. -Les 3 voyants des 3 modes d'utilisation pour cette dernière restent cependant actifs, dommage mais bon ça fait toujours un voyant plus visible pour vérifier quand la télécommande est allumée je suppose. Quelques points négatifs (dont un probablement corrigeable via un fix du driver) mais je ne suis pas déçu de l'achat pour autant malgré le prix qui semble donc relativement justifié.

Essendo fondamentalmente una sorta di tastiera si riesce a utilizzarlo in qualsiasi ambito anche se non in possesso di una tavoletta WACOM, permettendo di personalizzare i tasti in base alla applicazione utilizzata. Io la utilizzo con la mia Wacom Cintiq 16" è mi ci trovo davvero molto bene

Utilizo o Adobe Photoshop todos os dias no meu trabalho, com uma display tablet de 24in. A tablet ocupa quase todo o espaço na secretária e o teclado tem de ficar escondidos atrás dela. Alem disso, alguns atalhos ficam muito distantes uns dos outros no teclado, difíceis de alcançar com uma mão só, o que acaba por causar cãibras ao fim de algumas horas! Por isso, quando usei este comando pela primeira vez há 3 anos (veio com uma Cintiq 27QHD) a minha vida mudou. O período de ajuste inicial é complicado, pelo menos duas semanas de constantes alterações e sempre a consultar a lista de atalhos atribuídos a cada botão. Mas depois de desenvolver a memória muscular já não o podia dispensar! Por isso quando o meu velho comando original morreu subitamente (não conectava mais com o dongle), tive de aguentar 4 dias até que o novo chegasse e foi aí que reparei como era difícil voltar a usar um teclado! Prós: A bateria dura muito, muito, muito tempo. Trabalhando todo o dia, todos os dias, durante 3 anos a bateria passou de 1 carga a cada 2 semanas para 1 carga cada semana. Excelente durabilidade e mesmo que chegasse a ficar sem bateria totalmente, pode funcionar com o cabo sempre ligado sem problema. A ligação ao dongle é habitualmente boa (até ao dia em que morreu, claro...), só tive um total de 3 ou 4 falhas que precisaram de reset ao longo destes anos. Funciona até 8 ou 10m de distância por isso inclusive já serviu como comando de apresentações. A aplicação/driver da Wacom é boa. Às vezes apresenta um aviso de bateria baixa sem motivo, mas não incomoda muito. Permite programar atalhos diferentes para cada aplicativo, o que é excelente! E as definições podem ser guardadas num pequeno ficheiro para poder mudar de computador mantendo o esquema de trabalho. Ter só em atenção que quando muda a versão da driver às vezes os backups antigos deixam de ser compatíveis! Tem botões suficientes. Preferia ter mais 3 ou 4 em vez do anel, só para não ter de encontrar o Enter e o Delete no teclado principal, mas já me salva de muitas dores na mão. Simplesmente não existe outro assim no mercado. Ponto final! Outras marcas de display tablet tentam replicar, mas ou têm menos botões, ou estes não são combináveis (shift e ctrl pressionados ao mesmo tempo não respondem, é preciso gastar um tecla inteira para cada combinação, um desperdício). É definitivamente o melhor no mercado, sem dúvida. Contras: É caro. É pesado (as quedas podem ser facilmente mortais!) É wireless (para quem tem mãos de manteiga isso é mais perigoso do que prático) Para o meu estilo de utilização sempre sobre a secretária (ocasionalmente stand up desk) um simples numpad de 20€ faria o mesmo serviço e com metade do stress. Só ainda não o substituí porque os numpads têm teclas iguais às do teclado completo (Space, Delete, etc) e as aplicações de reprogramação têm problemas com elas. Quando descobrir um keypad que funcione, deixarei de gastar 100€ de cada vez.... claro que não é muito dinheiro e se durar mais 2 ou 3 anos já fico feliz, mas é stressante saber que a qualquer momento pode cair e terei de voltar a usar o teclado doloroso. Até lá, a minha memória muscular exige que eu continue a usar este pequeno comando muito elegante e funcional.
