These straplocks are really great well made locks. I can't speak for a Fender Telecaster, but I fitted these to my Strat and a set on my Gibson successfully. However, the screw that fits on the widest part of the body is a bit larger than the one you remove. I was a bit wary at first in tightening because it does meet some resistance, however i persevered and didn't overtighten. It's fine and i know it'll never come off, but if you feel nervous, about this, you might want to just widen the hole slightly using a drill. Good luck!

much the same as ordinary strap buttons, a very good product.

Q: Will this fit on a Squier Strat (2002 Chinese)?

Yes, no problem, just unscrew the old strap buttons and screw these in carefully. If they are a bit loose or a sloppy fit, pack the holes with matchsticks cut to length and PVA glue, then they should be alright.
