Pumpkin Android 7.1 Double Din Head Unit Sat Nav Bluetooth Support GPS DAB+ WiFi Android Auto AUX USB SD with 7 Inch Touch Screen

I had realistic expectations when I bought my Pumpkin unit.It wasn't a well known brand, but that was reflected in the price, so I thought I'd give it a go.As it turns out it, I love it!To get it fitted, I needed a new fascia panel, you might not, and a wiring harness adapter, which you might.They're cheap and readily available on eBay.After some fiddling I got the old unit out, and after that the Pumpkin unit was pretty much plug and play;all much easier than I'd expected.I didn't bother with the external mic, and stuck the GPS antenna out of sight under the dash.If you want some good navigation software for nothing, contact Pumpkin support for a link, they respond quickly.As far as using the unit goes, it's ready to go a couple of seconds after you turn the key.The touch screen is great, the GPS is great, the radio is great, the mp3 player is great, and it works reallywell with my phone for hands free calls (the built in mic is fine).All in all, I'm really pleased with it.

Great car stereo. The functionality and ergonomy is great. I am happy with it.Pro:- radio reciever is of good quality- no problem to use several music player and navigation and other software at same time- video output- rear camera input- hot start is very quick, cold start takes only few seconds- good gps reception- audio amplifier is good- good contact with the pumpkin customer service- all cables and microphone for bluetooth includedCons:- could be faster, updates from google play takes several minutes for one small app- some apps work slow- screen resolution/display could be better

The unit it's self is good quality, the touch screen clear and responsive sound quality is good and so far the radio reception is fantastic. Beware that it does not come with a fitting kit or dab module which can be bought separately. The customer service is one of the best I have come across ,they felt with my questions quickly and positively I would recommend this unit to anyone

Excellent product. I'm so pleased I made the decision to put this into my car. Best feature for me is being able to install Amazon Music and download music straight to the unit.

Fantastic. Does everything I wanted and more. Sounds great, really brought the factory standard speakers out of their shell. Basically just like using your android phone as a stereo. Could not be happier.

Loved the head unit but i now have an issue with it and customer services are not answering emails, not overly happy, need this fixed**customer services have contacted me and attempted a fix (sending out a part) hopefully this works**

I researched for many weeks about Android double din units and the pros and cons on the many different versions currently on the market and all lead me back to Pumpkin and ultimately this model stereo. When searching the market I wanted a unit that supported the following:1. DAB radio2. SAT NAV3. Bluetooth / Hand free4. Phone mirroring5. Reverse camera6. Torque AppMany of the Pumpkin units ticked all these boxes, but I was drawn to this unit as it had the latest Android software and had ample memory, so I ordered. Within 24hrs it arrived and once unpackaged I soon realised how easy it was going to be to install. The stereo has a high quality finish and the touch screen is very responsive and easy to use on the move. The instructions supplied are easy to understand and follow and the support from Pumpkin has been amazing.I have now owned and used the stereo for a month and I am very pleased with my purchase. This is just simply a tablet built into my dash and I can do so much more than I ever could imagine. I no longer need to worry about plugging my phone in to get access to my music as I can stream straight from my Amazon music app. The Torque app works a treat also and having this displayed on the 7” screen makes everything so much clearer and easier to use. The hand free is very clear and easy to use. Once sync’d with your phone all contacts are available at a touch of a button, which is perfect. The start-up and close down of the stereo is fast as well and like your tablet all apps you left open remain open on restart, even the DAB picks the station you had on and starts playing.What else can be said………………..The price is attractive. When you compare this to the normal car stereo brands you will want to instantly buy. Pumpkins units are a fraction of the price of leading brands and I cannot see why, as quality, sound, usability and performance is spot on.
