Biotin is the best!
I have been taking biotin for almost a year, gradually upping my intake until I am now on 10,000mcg (I started on 300mcg-1000mcg-5000mcg-10000mcg). I started taking biotin 'the beauty pill' for possibly vain reasons (over bleached hair, wanted it to grow back quicker!) but the amount of positive side affects got me hooked! There truly are so many beneficial qualities this magical vitamin offers! My nails are ridiculously strong (not something that I care about, but maybe someone else would?) my skin really feels youthful, my hair has grown amazingly and it has also really helped with a horrid itchy skin problem I have had all my life, in fact my skin tone has evened out because of this! I am a vegetarian and I started taking vitamin supplements after questioning how healthy I was! I do want to point out I also take maca, flaxseed oil and vit c & zinc daily (these tablets might also have contributed to what has been changing in my body (I don't want to miss inform anyone). One story I really want to share about Biotin is the amazing results it has had on my partners eczema, he has suffered with eczema (quite bad) all his life, never being able to clear it up completely with many failed creams from the Dr's! I convinced him to start on a low dose of some left over tablets I had (he refuses to go to the Dr :( and I have read many different sources that claim biotin is good for eczema), it has taken three weeks to start seeing some difference but it really is getting better! Eczema can be such a horrible thing to live with so any one reading this, I would really recommend trying Biotin, but stick with It for a while! Like said it has been roughly 3 weeks and we're seeing an improvement! I would always say ask your Dr first if you feel more comfortable that way.

It's not an overnight miracle but persistent use pays off
I'm getting married in February and am on a big health and fitness kick. I've been eating clean, exercising and drinking lots of water but came across a lot of feedback in regards to healthier hair and nails and the use of Biotin. I purchased this a couple of months ago now but wanted to actually give it a chance before leaving a review. In the last 8 weeks or so I've definitely seen a marked improvement in hair, skin and nails since using the product. My nails are usually pretty good anyway but for the first time in ages they just grew and grew with no chipping or weakness. There was definitely an increase in the speed they grew and as I say, the health and strength has also improved. In relation to my hair - I'd just had a trim prior to taking this and to be honest this was my biggest driving factor in why I purchased Biotin. I'm getting married - who doesn't want the longest, thickest and healthiest hair they can? As with my nails my hair normally does grow pretty well but I was interested to see if the growth was any faster with these pills and I can honestly say I think there has been. Hair that was just below shoulder length is now just above bra strap - it is hard to tell as my last 'trim' resulted in way too many/too short a set of layers but at the longest part down my back it's definitely longer. People have asked if I've had my hair cut or styled differently as a result and my friend also commented how much it seems to have grown since I last saw her.No ill side effects whatsoever, and very clear skin too. I've been using Minoxidil on my sparse eyebrows at the same time and in 12 weeks the growth I've seen from the combination of both products is great. They're not Cara Delavegne but for me they're great and I don't have to focus half as much on pencilling them in, I'd say in another 2-3 months I'd be fine without any eyebrow make up to be totally honest.Delivery was fast and overall I definitely have liked using the product and will continue to do so. The only down side is that ALL your hair grows faster and no lie, I have to epilate my legs every week. Used to be I went 2-3 in between epilations but for me it's par for the course, you can't pick only one section of hair to grow and it's easily enough removed! Will definitely buy again.

Works but experienced heart palpitations so be careful!
A bit of background info...I started taking this product once Id finished breastfeeding my baby, with my fist child i lost a lot of hair, it went very dry and I ended up cutring it really short. It took a couple of years for the lost hair to grow back. Wanting to avoid that as much as poss I started taking this supplement. I was also half way through growing out a pixie cut. Id reached that difficult length where your trying to grow out the top layers amd the rest sits hald way down your ears and kinda flicks out all over the shop, so really didn't want any post baby hair loss.It took 2 week to notice a difference to my nails, they felt smooth (another thing ruined by pregnancy, i had very dry brittle nails that were all broken) the new nail growth seemed sofer and stronger. Had a healthy look about them. Then i got the spots. Id read about possible acne breakouts so was drinking as much water as I could. My skin felt quite greasy, teenage spots appeared down my neck, at the top of my neck near my hairline, a few on my shoulders.Something I was willing to put up with if it meant my hair would grow nicely and quickly.I experianced no hair loss whatsoever! My hair remained healthy and thick. After a month i noticed about an hour after taking the tablets i was experiencing dizzy spells when my chest would feel light. These got worse. I didnt realise it was the biotin at first. I went to the drs, had blood tests and was booked in for an ECG. I wondered if it might be the tablets so went a few days without taking them, i didnt have palpitations on those days.My ecg came back clear.I took half a tablet on one day and still had a palpitation.Im wondering whether i took too higher dose to start off with and if id slowly built my way up things would have been different.Needless to say I stopped taking them. I found a Vitamin B complex supplementthat contained 100% of your recommended dose of Biotin and started taking that instead. No more palpitations. I may increase my dose to 1000mcg at some point, but would not recomment taking the 10,000mcg straight out.My hair is still growing strong and looks lovely, in a month Im expecting to have completely grown out my needy over grown pixie cut.Also... Im thinking that if I ever stop taking the biotin I will experience hair loss.So... It works, but there are con's as well as pro's.
