The overall gold coloured finish is good and with just the occasional wipe will remain so for quite a while. The handles are well made and solid.

Easy to fit and good quality and design

The handles and the bolt mechanism are OK, but the supplied screws are of questionable quality. The metal is soft and one of the screws snapped and I was not applying too much force. Also, the slots on the screw heads are very narrow, luckily I had a screwdriver that fitted, just!

They have changed the mounting hole spacing though, by about half a hole width . . .Mid 80's house, all Carlisle Brass handles, spring snapped on the cupboard under the stairs handle. Pukkah replacement, no problem. Well, nearly . . .If you screw in to existing holes it tensions the spring and wont operate the handle. You cant drill new holes as it just enlarges the existing holes. No problem, pair of circlip pliers, extract the spring, put it in the old handle.Barrel-latch mechanism is looking a little worn, use the new one, fine. Doesnt quite fit the old strike plate, change to the new one, no problem.Aaaannd . . . Everythings working again. Happy Bunny !
