Worth considering
Bought this to feed my new Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones. I had been using another non-bluetooth wireless system to feed my older Bose noise cancelling headphones but the attraction was to reduce the amount of switching required. I have certainly appreciated the reduction in switching. The Aventree/Bose combination does solve this issue though I do experience occasional signal dropouts - cannot tell whether Bose or Avantree. Battery life between charges is better than my previous system. There is a slight sound delay but I cannot tell whether this is the Bose or the Aventree. It is extremely slight though and not really a problem.

Great
Used in Tx (Transmitter mode)Connected to TV via auxillary cable to watch TV but primarily play Xbox One games & PC games streamed to TV.I haven't experienced any lag or sync issues, at all. Quite impressed. My receiver is an "Avantree aptX 2-in-1 Bluetooth 4.0 Headphone Adapter", which I have connected to my Audiotechnica m50x.Results are superb. The sound quality in my set up is determined more by the receiver in my case, so please take that into consideration from my subjective review. There is slight background interference (like white noise) which is minimal once adjusting the volume on the receiver (to low) and it does not seem to handle bass (i.e. loud explosions) adequately - however please again note this is more due to my receiver.Setup is quick and simple, and pairing takes only a minute at first.Distance is at least 10 meters in testing, but did not try to test between rooms.I really like this device, is definitely a long term addition!

Great little gadget
Bought to replace on I lost, does everything I ask without drama & lasts a decent time between charges.Happily connects a stupid jack-plug-less iPhone 7 to my digital radio, house hearing loop & portable neck loop (I wear hearing aids with a T coil)Old one did car, haven't tried this one.Easy to pair and simple to use.Comes with all necessary cables plus ones for TV connection to add to husband's stash

Pleasantly surprised
I have been looking for some time for a gadgte to convert some stand-alone speakers to bluetooth and for something to allow me to listen to the TV on headphones without the inconvenience of 3m long wires. I was somewhat sceptical that the devices on the market at reasonable prices would do the job to an adequate standard. I confess to being pleasantly surprised by the Anantree product. It is very small, hardly weighs a thing. Set up is easy. Sound quality is OK. My only resveration is that the device feels fragile and would be damaged easily. If you are looking for a cheap bluetooth solution to get music off your mp3 players onto standalone speakers then this could be for you.

Seriously good
It does work well. But I got an expensive headphone to enjoy sound quality & use anywhere but watching tv reading lips have slight sound delay. I am partially deaf being so used to lip read. I reckon is to buy Avantree headphone for home tv use only. Trying to use one headphone to use everything without having too many Bluetooth & headphones. Now I use sound input with iPhone which does sound great would touch 5 stars

Inherent fault. Works, then stops working.
Really disappointed. This is my second one of these and exactly the same thing happens. It works OK for a while and then suddenly stops working. I have tried everything. I hold the red button down, the blue light flashes quickly (as it should) it connects and my Bose SoundLink works fine then 10 or so minutes later, stops. I go back to the Saturn Pro and its dead. I try holding the button down and the red light comes on, but no bluetooth connection. If I leave it for 30- minutes or so I can start the whole cycle again.Have had to send both back.

Works well but slightly let down by performance and quality.
I bought this to go with a pair of apt-x headphones a couple of months ago. I also have an apt-x capable phone, so it's dual transmitting and receiving abilities seemed ideal.First impressions was that it is very compact and the build quality is of ok standard except the transmit/receive toggle which is a bit wonky and loose.Connection is fairly straight-forward, but had a little trouble with the headphones although it is hard to tell which device is at fault. Not the easiest device to connect but certainly not the hardest I've come across. For me, sound quality is quite important, hence the move to apt-x devices. I've been quite impressed with apt-x so far and is pretty much as good quality and detail compared to wired mode when using headphones directly. Therefore I was rather hoping for the same result when using the Saturn Pro in between the two devices. As a test I tried connectingA) phone -> wired -> Saturn Pro -> blueooth -> headphonesB) phone -> bluetooh -> Saturn Pro -> wired -> headphonesFor both tests the Saturn Pro is slightly worse in terms of detail and soundstage than when the phone and headphones are connected directly over bluetooth or cable. The sound is also more neutral (less warm) but whether this is a good or bad thing is subjective so don't include this fact in my final score but just mention it for info. For test A, the phones amplifier could be playing a part but the wired connection still performs better. Additionally the extra step in the chain could be contributing to some of the degradation but I think most of it is from the device itself as I've also tested it between computers and other headphones, and notice a similar trend. I play music occasionally for leisure but am no audiophile but can discern the difference in quality with this device. However the sound quality is still very good and all in all, it is nice, compact device and does what is advertised and is very flexible such as for car journeys or watching films without disturbing others and has gained a permanent place in my headphone case. The battery life is also very good, and it's micro-usb charging is a plus. However the range is a quite limited (around 4/5m) I would have also ideally liked to have play/pause and skip buttons on it like some other transceivers but that would have been a bonus. It isn't overly expensive, nor particurlaly cheap, but nor does it perform amazingly well or have particularly premium quality. Therefore it scores> features (4/5)> build quality (3/5)> sound quality (3/5)> range (3/5)> battery life (5/5)And considering its current price of £35, I would give it between a 3 and a 4. I've leaned towards a 4, as it does work well and I enjoy using it!
