Broke with first use
This item broke the first time I used it.as it had be a little while from when I brought it to when I tried it and because of the price I have not returned it.instead I thought I would take it apart it see what had happed. There was I guide pin that had broken out of the very thin pressed steal arm that works the foot also another arm had also bent.this is a very poorly made item and will fail as the metal is so thin

useful in certain circumstances, does chain stitch as described (but not stated)
Great idea but short on practical design. Please know this product only produces a 'chain' stitch not your typical sewing stitch where the lower bobbin thread interlinks with the upper needle thread. They do tell you that you must manually tie-off the stitch end but not why. A chain stitch will quickly unravel with one pull of the thread. On the design front. Obviously designed by a male engineer who did not take into account the size of a woman's hands thus when you must lift the metal spring loaded plate which is what holds the fabric in place you must at the same time not touch the upper arm AND place the fabric under the needle/plate, well, my hands are not big enough nor do I have the strength so I struggled. A bigger metal flange at the side would greatly improve use. I really needed another pair of hands, so struggled. It does make the intended stitch as sold and I will find it a useful tool in certain circumstances. You could not assume that you could sew a dress with this product but in an emergency could be useful.

Not enough space between needle and plate
Very easy too use. Struggled at first to tie a knot to stop it unravelling but realised it needs to go thru the back of the stitch. The major problem with it is that the space allowed between the needle and the plate is only about 0.3mm. As I was trying to take up thin cotton trousers they were too thick (0.5mm when ironed flat) to get into the space. I honestly can't think of any material that thin which would fit except maybe chiffon and the random test scrap provided.

A cheap and easy to use gadget.
I bought this to repair pockets. It's cheap, and once you've watched a 3m You Tube video, it's easy to thread (the instructions aren't great).I've seen negative reviews. This isn't well made and probably only fit for small jobs, but that's what I wanted. And it only cost £10. If you expect more, you probably need to pay more!

This is my worst purchase of Amazon ever
This is my worst purchase of Amazon ever. The item arrived and failed to work at all once the batteries were put in.Absolutely do not buy this - if zero stars were possible that is what I would give.

Additionally you need very good eye sight for setting up the thread
Yes it sews - but you need to follow the instructions exactly. Additionally you need very good eye sight for setting up the thread. Not something to be used when you want a perfect stitch which will be readily visible - OK though for doing the likes of repairing seam on duvet, pillow, etc.

Two Stars
It wasn't able to do what I needed it for . The clearance between the needle is very tight.
