Blackfriar Anti Slip Floor and Step Safety Paint Mid Grey - 1 Litre

Great product! went on smoothly has good grip. Nice grey colour as expected. I painted my tiles on the step of my front door and so far has held well. Dried quickly too.

I made a rough wooden ramp for my back door so my dogs with back/leg issues can get in and out. Last year we applied tape to the painted ramp and it came off after a year and therefore need an alternative. I removed the previous tape, cleaned up and applied some of this and it came out amazing, it seems very durable and is super non-slip. I read a review that was posted with some advice on applying and making sure it is mixed properly which was helpful. In general, it is quite thin for oil based (in my limited experience) and obviously the non-slip grit is denser than the paint. So some pointers: 1. Mix thoroughly in the tin until there is minimal grit sitting on the bottom. You can see the grit start appearing in the paint whilst you stir. 2. Once mixed pour as quickly after stopping stirring into your paint kettle/tin. Do not let it sit, it sinks quick to the bottom. 3. Whilst painting from the kettle, keep stirring the bottom up else you will be left with a load of grit at the bottom which is hard to distribute and will never be applied as well as with the paint. 4. I applied it quite thick and slopped as the ramp is no masterpiece.

Liked this product. Easy to use. The only down side is that it takes 5-7 days to fully cure, so you have to keep off the area you have painted for all that time. Other than that I am vary pleased with this product.

Unfortunately this was dropped over the gate, and paint came out all over the box. Couldn’t use it and couldn’t send it back, but the colour looked good, the paint was thick and would no doubt give good coverage. It does have a very strong odour. The seller was very cooperative and after receiving photos of the damaged paint pot, sorted a refund without delay.

Very good coverage on existing textured floor tiles. Took 48 hours to dry sufficiently to walk on but could be due to cold weather well below the 20degrees C quoted for drying in 24 hours. Smell still lingering after 4 days but seems to be declining. All good so far but no heavy traffic applied - just pedestrian.

Well what can I say? My wife came home to see her nice 'grey' steps and exclaimed "It's blue!" My grandson asked, "Why did you paint your steps blue Pops?" I thought it looked it a bit blue when I started painting but expected it to dry grey. Under the security light at night my steps now look like mini swimming pools. I'm going to have to splash out again on a tin of grey paint. Also if you've ordered this, then apply for a day off work, because that's how long it will take to get it unwrapped. I think the quality of the paint is fine but I have wasted my money as the colour is definitely not what I expected from the description.

Very happy with this paint it did a great job on my step and the finish is excellent and is anti slip as well very easy to apply just make sure what you painting is well cleaned and the result is very good indeed.

Coverage is good but ruined my brushes! It’s truly anti slip but difficult to clean. Lovely colour but paint has started rubbing off (2 coats) so not good in heavy traffic areas Smells divine once dried and not that bad during application.
