Hello, yes, this 8x8 hdmi matrix can do this mode. You can make input 1 to all, all 8 screens display the same video. You also can make input1 to output 1, input2 to output2..…..or input 1 to output 1-4. It’s very functional. Thank you.

When i turn it on, the lcd status screen only shows a row of rectangles. am i doing something wrong, or is there some way to reset it?

Hello my friend, please try to power off the matrix and unplug all cables of the input and output, then just power the matrix switch separately for test.
