Bought this for travel BUT you're not allowed to take ThermaCell battery packs with you when you fly either in hand luggage or in checked-in luggage. So pretty useless if you want to travel abroad. Their advice is to buy battery cells when you get to your destination which is impractical; who wants to arrive somewhere and then have to start finding a stockist.It's very light weight and despite other purchasers' comments that it straightens hair it doesn't. I've tried and it just doesn't get hot enough and the clip with which you keep the hair in contact with the heated barrel is quite flimsy. Probably Ok if you want it as a hot brush to curl hair but probably only quite fine hair (not thick hair) and provided you don't want to take it on a plane.

barrel is to large including brush best used for someone with longer hair. my hair is short and didnt do anytyhing for it, plus it takes ages to heat..i have used it twice since i purchased it.

Great for travel as light and small. Downside you can’t take a spare gas canister on holiday. But then you can’t with any make and it’s much lighter and smaller to pack than electric tongs. Note this can only travel in hand baggage with the gas canister in it.It took a while to ignite when I was at altitude but was ok.

just what i needed as my hair was longer very googd

Have had one of these in years past and pleased that I could still buy. It arrived early which was a pleasant surprise. Recommend to anyone who does a lot of travelling

Easy to use and just what I wanted

Great item. I bought it to sort out my fringe in the mornings as I couldn't be bothered to get out my hairdryer and it really does the job. Would take quite a long while to tong a whole head but for small sections its amazing.
