I like it so far
Finally bit the bullet after having this on my list for months. Got sick of using folders and decided to switch to a fixed blade. Too many issues with screws coming loose on folders, scales and retaining clips falling off, locks failing etc etc. The price is definitely higher than I would’ve wanted to pay but I wanted something high quality. So far I love this knife! It has become my everyday carry. I chose this because it was the right size and I like the look. Not to mention I have another Tops knife and they seem to be Top(s) quality. This is about the size of an average folding knife, except it doesn’t fold. The sheath is also of a very good quality, nice thick leather. When wearing a regular T shirt you can see maybe 1-2” of the sheath sticking out. Baggier shirts would hide this completely. The knife seems to be great quality, was reasonably sharp out of box. So far so good, I may never go back to folders!

If you like the Izula but need a bigger handle, then this is a winner.
Perfect.I carry a fixed blade everyday, I have many other quality blades such as ESSEE Izula, RAT 3, White River Caper, Bark River, Spyderco, Benchmade, ECT.This is up there with the best of them. Grind lines are even and well done, the edge came very sharp and surprisingly cuts well (I usually have to thin the edge on my ESSEE knives). The scales are contoured and well fit, much nicer than flat slabs but not as bulky as say a white river. The powder coat on the knife is thin and smooth, much less intrusive than that thick baked on paint commonly used. It looks and feels similar to kershaws black wash finish. The sheath is nice leather with great heavy stitching. It had good retention and almost clicks into place, it can be gently shaken upside down without falling out.I am really impressed with my first tips knife. Came with a good survival whistle and authenticity/warranty card that states it was 101% made and hand finished in the USA.The size is perfect for EDC, longer and slimmer blade than the Izula and most importantly a longer and better fitting handle than the Izula. This is actually big enough for prolonged heavy work, while still small enough to be easy and inconspicuous to carry everyday.

Made on a Friday?
I love this knife. It's a great size, rides on my belt well and is a pleasure to carve with. While it's certainly not the "one" knife you want to have with for any situation. But it's a nice strong alternative to a folder without being so big that it's obnoxious in the wrong company. Now the bad... the finish was deplorable for a knife that costs this much. The lanyard hole had a huge burr that I had to file away and the scales were a bit chewed up. The sheath... I can't draw the knife out without a plethora of leather shavings coming out with the knife. I was hoping it was just the rough side leather wearing a bit, but it's obvious the quality is not optimal and should have been better treated prior to being used for a sheath. After a month or so, I went ahead and soaked the sheath and worked it a little to get a better fit around the knife for better retention and a slicker look. I'll end up making a kydex or a hybrid sheath for it eventually. Most people will tell you that you a production sheath is pretty worthless anyway, I just expected a bit more.As far as the issues with the knife itself, I have other Tops products that came perfect out of the box, this one must have just slipped past QA at about a quarter to beer 'O clock on a Friday before a long weekend.(ETA pictures and description; 1st picture shows leather rework, sheath came with practically no shaping, feels way more secure now. Still thinking about a small kydex collar around the top. 2nd shows the micarta blemish)

Good little edc
Tops makes bomb-proof knives, that's for sure. This makes a good little edc. Nice and sharp from factory.

Great little knife
Fit and finish on the knife I received are first class. It also came razer sharp with a coat of oil as it should. So this knife is comfortable and easy to use. Cuts well with no issues. Nice double stitch leather sheath with a snap. The sheath looks good and is perfectly acceptable. I'll be taking this elk hunting this year along with my tex creek xl. Great work Tops

It's simple and sturdy, yet well designed and pleasing to the eye and hand.
This is a nice little knife. It feels great in your hand. The blade design is a classic that has been around for decades, if not centuries, and it's still useful for a number of chores. I like the deep belly and the slight clip point on the blade. This would be an excellent knife to clean game with, and it looks even better in real life than in pictures. The sheath seems to be well made, and the belt strap on the sheath has a very strong snap, so you add or remove the knife from your belt without unbuckling your belt, something I really like! The factory edge is pretty good, the handle is "grippy" enough that even with wet hands you won't slip. The blade is pretty thick, and the whole thing feels very solid without seeming too heavy. I doubt that you will experience a failure unless you really abuse this knife. This is not a showy knife, yet something about the design and materials make you just want to pick it up.

Wouldn't think twice
The perfect companion knife for a camping trip or day hike. I have recommended this knife on several occasions to people who were looking for a high quality camp knife. Yes, Mora are cheaper and yes, they are good knives but there is something about 1095 and micarta that just feels so right in your hand.
