Does the job, and looks nice.
This is a decent-looking planter, described as "white stone" and as a result not pure white, pretty much as in the image for the product. The name of the company gives away the game that it is a plastic planter, if the price wasn't enough of a clue! This means that it can be pretty light and therefore portable, so if used outside it makes it a little easier to move plants into shelter if the weather turns harsh. In our case, we use it indoors to conceal the bucket in which we have our lemon tree. There are holes in the base that mean we need to be careful to water in the bucket and not the planter (!), although if we were serious about waterproofing it, we could line it with suitable material. It would be better without holes, in my opinion - it's far easier to make them than to patch them up! Then again we're watering a plant that stays indoors a lot, if it was rained on now and then we'd appreciate the holes more. As it is, when the lemon tree needs a day in the sun, we just lift out the bucket and, holding the trunk to the handle, carry it safely out into the garden leaving the decorative bit indoors. The thin plastic is translucent in the sun which spoils the illusion of stone unless you either line it, or fill it to the brim with soil/compost, and it'd be nice if it had been available in other colours. We live in the Cotswolds and a honey-coloured stone would go down well around here, as would red & grey near the Mendips, and grey-green down by Tavistock, for example! It's a fairly inexpensive plastic planter, so for the price it would be unrealistic to expect it to be anything more than that. It has a nice, distinctive shape and the size certainly suits our purposes (it conceals a typical household bucket!) and is practical, decorative, and useful. Overall, we're pleased with it, although the translucency and the holes are not ideal, which makes it a 4-star item for us.

nice and clean looking, good size
I bought these s a neighbour kindly gave me a stone looking trough and my little faux terracotta pots were looking cheap and nasty next to it. I was hoping it would look good enough at the sides of my door without being expensive enough to tempt people to pinch it (as they will). When it arrived I was surprised at how light it was, this is great as I hate lugging pots around when it comes round to repotting. It is a very nice size for my door, it doesn't look pretentious but isn't drowned by the doorframe either. It fits three bedding pants including a nice big trailer plant in nicely. I'd say it takes around 25l of compost, maybe less with the plants. The colour is not quite as white stone looking as in the picture shown, however it does look pretty realistic and definitely neatens the garden up considerably. It is more of a yellow undertone. It is nice and bright without being obtrusive and will take any colour plants in it. Very cheerful and tidy looking. Will definitely buy again.

Not as big as I thought it would be
Bought this to plant three 100cm tall Boxus plants to provide an instant hedge in my garden, but either the plants were too big or this planter wasn't as big as I imagined it would be but only two would fit in. I think it's because the 90cm length mentioned includes the pointy bits and the lip at the top, so there is only really about 70cm of usable space and the Boxus plants were about 30cm across. I couldn't be bothered sending it back, especially as I might have ended up paying the return postage myself, so I have kept it and it's got a couple of little flowering bushes in it round the front. It looks nice, but I won't be buying another.

Good in the right place.
I wanted a hexagonal pot and this is larger & more affordable than wooden pots which are the only real alternative but I have found that the gothic design is out of keeping with my front garden despite it being a traditional cottage garden/herb garden but it should be perfect in that context for other people if it fits in with wider environment (my house is 1940's brick ex council house). If the item was less bright and was much more like stone & my mulberry Bush was shorter I would probably keep it long term but at moment I'm looking for a larger hexagonal contain. Probably an expensive wood one so it will not look so silly and the focus will be on the plant growing in it.

hopefully it may grow to look more like stone. I believe that painting pots with yogurt ...
We needed a planter, because the ones we have are a bit naff and this one looked a bit interestingly monastic Gothic, so had a certain appeal. Obviously it is brand new, so looks gleaming and pristine, but as time passes, hopefully it may grow to look more like stone. I believe that painting pots with yogurt (yes really), causes algae and moss to form and artificially "age" them. However, the planter looks very elegant and is a very nice change from the usual giant flowerpots that we previously had (don't blame me, my wife bought them :-). Anyway, nice looking planters at a reasonable price. Ours are currently full of potting compost and "night scented" and other stocks. The night scented ones smell fantastic on summer evenings, but look a bit mothy, so the other stocks cheer things up a bit. I suspect that we will be buying more of these planters soon.

Fantastic looking planters
I love these planters. I bought two for both sides of my front door and I have bought two artificial twist trees to put in them. I will be using gravel for the weight and hight. I have not put them out yet as I am waiting another week until my garden has been gravelled. These are lovely pots, and look very classy, not cheap looking at all, and they are so different. They are very light weight but look as close to stone as you are going to get! I like them so much, that I am just about to order another two for a couple of palms im waiting for (real trees this time! ;) I would highly recommend these planters. I made my mind up when I read other buyer reviews which helps a lot, so if you like them, get them, I dont think that you will feel disappointed.
