Is the jar glass or plastic?

Plastic but nice enough. I stand my DE razors in a used one. This is the large size.

I had light coloured hair , how dark does your hair go ?

It won't be jet black! I originally had black hair with a "few" greys starting to show. It certainly darkens the greys. I'm not sure how it would affect light coloured hair though.

Can I use it in my chest?

It is intended for the hair on the head. It is a bit of a sticky product and probably bet not for chest hair
