A handy bit of kit but the instructions for use must be followed to the letter. I found that when reversing an extended section, the heaviness of the structure comes down with a very fast traverse and wonder how much use will cause deflection to the rung surface due to the impact loading when the extended portion comes down at a quite high velocity. Certainly one has to keep fingers clear, which the manufacturer urges users to do. I find the assembly rather bouncey when ascending or descending the ladder as it tends to oscillate horizontally due to the changing load of the person using it.

Not worth buying
Contra to my previous positive review and just a year on with hardly any use, it failed and has broken. The bottom rung wouldn’t lock into place and just slumped to one side. After two emails to the manufacturer I had to ask Amazon to step in, which they did effortlessly.I only bought this as it has a two warranty and it proved I needed.

Not Soft Close
This ladder is sturdy and well built. It is heavy and does take some effort to partially extend from the bottom rung.My experience is that it is not soft close and, like most telescopic ladders, if you caught fingers when the rungs close,; pinched fingers wold be an understatement. I think Amazon should review the title. My pre-order research indicated that this was not a soft close ladder and it is as I expected. With this in mind I have no hesitation in recommend the ladder.

Useful Telescopic Ladder.
Brilliant little ladder, perfect for those little jobs outside the house. Folds down into a neat and compact form for storage and carrying about in the car. Strap holds it shut. Be a little bit careful when closing it down in case it takes your fingers or hands off (i.e. take heed of the warnings supplied with it). Wasn't too sure how safe and secure it would be at first, as I was a bit wary of it having so many sections, but it was fine as long as you observe the safety warnings and I'm glad I bought it.

A great set of ladders
I dont need large ladders but I needed something other than step ladders and these have been brilliant. I have been using these for a long time now and they are still going strong. Great purchase and take very little room during transport. Cannot recommend these enough. Word of warning just watch your fingers when retracting them, it hurts if they are in the wrong place.

100% Recommended
I have never used a telescopic ladder before and was worried this item may be weak or difficult to set up / put away. I was completely wrong and can say that it is much sturdier than I expected as well as much easier to use and pack away. As long as you follow the instructions you wont trap fingers or hurt yourself. I use this to get in and out the attic all the time and have also used it outside. This specific one doesn't include a carry bag, so it may be worth buying a bag separately if you plan to take this around to different rooms or places a lot.

Good ladder, be careful when collapsing it back down!
I bought recently this to get into my loft at my new house as I don't have a loft latter and saw the building surveyor carrying one of these around. In summary, it's an extendable ladder and feels sturdy enough when climbing it. One star docked as it's quite difficult to collapse - especially when inside - and some of the thumb catches get stuck and you have to give the ladder a shake to free them. I almost took my fingers off on more than one occasion, but i'm sure there is a knack, but it's one I am yet to learn. It's a perfectly good ladder - but please be careful when collapsing it.
