this is a hard plastic bat the fits on the "bat pins" on your wheel head. wet the center of the bat before you throw your clay on it and center the clay.

Hello, Thanks for contacting Speedball Art Products! The bat pin is a ¼-20 ¾ long socket head cap screw.

Q: How far apart are the bat holes on the bottom? I have an older wheel they are a little over 10.5 inches apart

The holes on the bottom of the bat are 10.5 inches apart.

Q: Does this bat fit pin spacing of 7” apart?

They fit my pins that are 9” perfectly.
