Miele Type GN Replacement Filter Bag for 9153500 Cylinder Series

These are bags for the Miele cylinder vacuum, and they do the job fantastically well. However, in my opinion, they go beyond mere utilitarianism, and each represents an individual (if identical) work of art. From the moment the box arrived, I was fascinated by the shape and texture of these small and perfectly formed creations.I took one to work with me, and have placed this in a frame on my desk. I also placed one in my car so that in traffic jams I can gaze upon it and dream of special times.There are four in the pack, and I have used one so far for its intended and prosaic function. Whenever I have visitors, I show them the vacuum, and then offer to show them the bag. Many have never seen a dustbag for a vacuum cleaner, as they own bagless models. When they see how this bag fits in the cylinder cleaner, they all want one. Last week, I showed four farmers from France how the cleaner and bags work, The week before I had a six stunt men from Sicily. They said that the technology was very interesting, and one vowed to have a parachute made out of the same material for his next film.I feel that one is doing more than buying a dustbag here. The name and the sophistication of the material mean that you are buying something with a pedigree; if you are caught with this dustbag in your hand, you won't feel embarrassed. You can show it to guests, and use it as a work of art. I know of a man in Fife who won't go shopping without one. I can understand why.

The box contains 4 dustbags, 1 motor filter, 1 Super Air Clean filter (which I didn'tneed because there is a Hepa filter on our Cat & Dog cleaner).We have two Cat & Dog vacuum cleaners and over the years I have tried to takeshort cuts and buy cheaper (cheapo?) bags from a variety of sources. The last lotof bags weren't great (leaking around the neck), so I decided to take the plungeand buy the original (now improved) Miele bags from this supplier.Well, really, what an improvement. The vacuum is back to its original best, liftingfitted carpets on its fastest setting, and the turbo brush zooming around at topspeed.I expect some people will consider that I'm stating the obvious, but I would neverhave credited how much of a difference the genuine bags make. I changed themotor filter too.The bags arrived quickly, are as described and I would use this supplier again.

Forget the old paper bags that vacuum cleaners used to come with. Back in the days where you bought any old brand of bag and it was a dusty mess.These genuine Miele vacuum bags are a fleece-like material and they keep in ALL dust. The dust compartment remains spotless. They self close and have a silicone seal to ensure the dirt goes into the bag and not the inside of your machine casing, or back into your room when you are changing the bag. They can fill well and have an internal design that ensures they do not clog as quickly or easily.Each box of 4 bags comes with a new motor filter and a basic exhaust filter.Make sure you buy only GENUINE Miele bags and check around on price. The Miele website sometimes has special offers on buying multi packs of these.

I bought these in November but only opened the box recently. I immediately noticed that the design is different from the bags I purchased before. I don’t know if Miele changed it, or if these are not genuine Milele bags, despite what the box says. The plastic fitting is thinner and flimsy. The top part of the first bag I used broke and I only noticed it today when I opened the vacuum cleaner to see why it lost its suction. To my horror I found that the dust went straight into the cleaner and not in the bag, and it seems that it was all because the flimsy plastic that broke. It took me an hour to clean the inside and replace all filters, but the dust also went past the main filter into the engine part, so I guess I will be needing a new vacuum cleaner soon ☹️ For now I put another bag in but I can already see that the plastic part that broke on the first one is not going to last. Really bad quality.

VERY good product and very expensive too. No leaking and cleaner than bagless ones especially good for asthma & allergy sufferers. Nails screws, glass, pins pine needles or thorns never seem to puncture this The bags do compress the yuk a LOT. If you have fine dust from wood fires clean it out with a fireplace shovel dustpan and only use this for the small residue because a LOT of very fine wood ash will clog the pores on anything. When others use it beware because if the dustbag has very damp dust from say cleaning a too wet bathroom carpet it will clog it up & if it is very wet it will break your cleaner. That was the last one though.

These are, it's true, an additional cost to owning a Miele, but it's just not worth buying the non branded bags in my experience. These are cheaper than on the high street and I buy them regularly. I must do a lot of hoovering as there is no way they last 6 months as per the product description, about a month is more realistic in my experience. The filter has to be cut to size and is a faff, but overall as I would expect from Miele (have owned a hepa vacuum for years and wouldn't go back to another brand) these are quality items, your Miele deserves nothing less.

Product works as intended, but box arrived very broken and flattened, which was disappointing.
