Gorilla 5044360 Glue Wood Glue 1L

Much larger then what I thought but well worth the money, I always run out of this stuff when doing projects so as I’m doing the kitchen I thought why not glad I bought the one litre. The glue is brilliant strong, I used it to build a water tower that worked under compressive forces and eventually when I had to replace it the joints ended up stronger then the frame so the glue is brilliant.

Bought the big 1L bottle of wood glue ahead of doing a shelving build; my main needs were to laminate two 18mm MDF sheets together to form stronger, thicker boards for the main shell of the shelves, to avoid sagging and to have a chunkier look. I used the Gorilla wood glue, applied sufficiently and spread around so that the full contact area was lightly covered, and tightly clamped together. (For good measure I also drilled holes to take wooden dowels for additional strength for any lateral movement ahead of achieving a full bond.) Having allowed about 24 hours for the glue to bond fully, I am pretty confident that the glue bond is stronger than the MDF it is applied to, and after some sanding of the edges it's quite difficult to tell that the laminated board is anything other than a nice chunky 36mm thick board. My other use will be to glue the horizontal shelves into the routed dados (approx. 10mm deep in each laminated 36mm vertical) and I'm sure they'll be very stable when done. So, the glue works, it's easy to use, you get a decent amount for a fair price, it doesn't leak, seems strong when set (allow 24hrs) and meets all the expectations of a decent wood glue, so it gets the thumbs up from me.

Good Grab. Not too runny. Good for friction glue ups before clamps are applied. Great nozzle and applicator makes it easy to apply in a zig zag before spreading further. After use the nozzle then closes and is really easy to open again when you next need it and seems to keep the remaining glue useable. I've used half a litre of the stuff in June and July and the rest is still tip top. This glue stays workable while clamping even complicated builds then excess is easy to wipe off with a damp cloth. I have used this on hardwood, softwood and chipboard as well as melamine faced board and it is good on all of them. Short clamp time is true in my experience, which is great if you haven't got as many clamps as folks seem to have on all those YouTube videos. Over 24 hours sets rock hard. Dries a bit yellow [ make sure you wipe any excess run out off! ] which on pine and softwoods you might not notice. This is an advantage if making your own paste filler for pine. On it's own not that great at gap filling. Not tried it on outdoor projects so I can't vouch for that. Overall I'm impressed and would buy again over other brands of fast and rapid white PVA wood glues.

Excellent glue use it all the time.

Use this glue all the time. Great for outside projects and for general carpentry work. This is my go to wood glue and in my opinion is as good if not better than similar products on the market. For a good even spread I wash out the nozzle after prolonged use. Excellent product.

An absolutely amazing product,dries absolutely rock solid. I used with with extra fine sawdust to fill gaps in floorboards. It dried in a natural light brown colour. I had doubts if this would work for what I needed but its worked absolute wonders. Anything from gorilla I have found to be absolutely amazing. I've used the glue, tape, and epoxy resin in the past on other product and am never disappointed with gorilla product. I brought the liter sized bottle and with the east application nozzles super easy and mess free. Well done gorilla on another amazing product.

Best wood glue around alot better value than some other well known brands, never had it fail either and I do lots of wood glue ups
