CoLiDo DIY 3D Printer with Filament - Build your own 3D Printer with this DIY 3D Printer Kit!

I bought this 3D printer for the sole intention of having something fun to do with my son, and the price of this one (£199) meant that it wouldn't be too much of a disaster compared to the more expensive ones if it ended up not being something we enjoyed.I was prepared for some headache and heartache when it came to setting it up, and it was quite daunting when I opened the box, but actually it was a breeze. The printer came with a single sheet of paper instructions, but included in the box was a USB stick with not just a more detailed pdf user manual, but also a handy video to follow! I think I could have set it up in half the time it actually took me, but I was held up by a slightly I'll fitting Allen bolt. I had to remove about a half mm of plastic from one of the screw holes with a paring knife from the kitchen, but no buggy, bolt went in after that. It's worth noting that the kit is already partially assembled, if you can put together a simple bit of flat pack furniture, you can assemble this. The kit comes with a selection of Allen key sizes too.The included software was easy to install on my three year old laptop with windows 10, and again there was enough information included with the printer to have the software running with one of the included example 3D files minutes after assembly was completed.Printing itself is really quite extraordinary. Apart from the initial calibration with the included credit card sized calibration card, I haven't really had to change or fiddle with any of the printers default settings! We have managed to successfully print a Mickey mouse, batman, Dumbledores head, a tiny millennium falcon, some Pokémon, a decent sized stationary holder in the style of a castle, a star destroyer, some Disney characters, a bookmark amongst others! A few prints have failed but I think that's been down to iffy designs. Some have failed due to the print not adhering to the printing plate, but a quick Google and some cheap hairspray fixed that.Printing can take a bit of time, anything between just under an hour to many many hours depending on the size and detail of the print, however it is quite fun to watch and is not overly loud.Even with all that printing, there is quite a bit of the included half kilogrammes of PLA plastic left that came with the printer.There are guides online on printing parts from this printer that upgrade this printer, how mind blowing is that!Overall, it's been a relatively trouble free, inexpensive and enjoyable experience using this so far!

Colido have poor quality products the worst customer support I have ever dealt with and I wont be buying from them ever again because they refuse to repair anything under warranty. The reason why I say this is because I purchased a the DIY 3D Printer from them it worked fine for 2 months but after the second month it stopped working none of the buttons work on it anymore I cant print through usb on my PC and the sd card print doesnt work either. I contacted Colido by email asking them for a repair considering that my item is under warranty and I would pay for the courier to deliver it to them but they kept trying to convince me that the 3D printer was fine. They sent me around in circles for a week telling me to try this then try every day and nothing I tried would work. It was clear they were just trying their best to avoid repairing it for me so I sent them an honest email asking them why the dont want to repair it for me but now they wont reply to any of my emails. I am very dissapointed with them and would highly recommend avoiding their products.

For the price, it is pretty good. As it is DIY you also enjoy building it and taking it apart.4 Stars because the extruder is getting jammed and now creating a mess. This could be a combination of extruder quality and my own handling. Still trying to clear or the extruder . Any help on this from the supplier would be great!

I was bought this machine for a Christmas present after I hinted I'd like to have a go at 3D printing. Up to yet, I have found it easy to assemble with just a couple of adjustments needed to line things up. One thing I have found though, is that the learning curve is a steep one, not just with this model but any 3D printer, you have to get your head round exactly how it works for a start, then you have to learn how to program it and how to use the drawing program, it's not easy.....a bit like learning all there is to know with Photoshop in half an hour. But a little patience and perseverance will work wonders and in no time at all you will be able to print a few simple things. The machine itself is sturdy and well made and designed, for the price it's well worth buying, like buying your first car, you have to start somewhere and this machine is a good start.

Had this printer for about 6 weeks and was amazed by the print quality, with it making models at the same if not better quality as other Makerbot printers I have at work which are 10x the price. Takes some time to get used to the levelling but once you get the knack it's easy to use and really is amazing value for money.Only 2 stars though as the USB controller died after 6 weeks and even with lots of TLC the printer was getting very noisy and the print quality started to get a bit random. Also there was no way that I could see if levelling the print bed from front to back and after a while this was slightly out.

Facile à monter, fonctionne de suite, bonne impression en pla car pas de plateau chauffant pour l'ABS, malgré le châssis en plastique elle semble robuste. Pas de ventilateur pour l'électronique mais il y a juste un petit bloc d'alimentation 12v elle est vraiment peut gourmande en énergie. Très bien pour débuter dans l'impression 3d. pas de bobine propriétaire comme pour les Vinci.

Ich habe mir den Drucker eigendlich gekauft weil ich mich mal in die Materie reinfuxen wollte, aber das hat sich schnell geändert.Der Drucker kam an ausgepackt, nach Anleitung aufgebaut (ca. 20min) und losgelegt.Die mitgelieferte Software ist alles was man braucht, sogar ne Rolle PLA war dabei (PS die ware nach einer Woche alle :D :D )Die Druckqualität ist anfangs etwas mager ausgefallen (ich hatte ja kein Plan von nix) doch nun ist sie für meine Verhältnisse top.Die verbaute Druckfläche war mit einem Blauen Klebeband bespannt was wohl den Halt des Filamentes verbessern sollte,aber nach einem Druck war das nicht mehr so pralle (hat sich wohl unsichtbar zugesetzt) oder ist einfach platgedruckt.Wie auch immer ich habe so viele Projecte und wollte Drucken!Kurz im Internet gelesen und einen merkwürdigen Tip gefunen, es soll wohl Leute geben die direkt auf der Plastikplate(hier nicht möglich weil das Löcher drin sind) drucken, aber diese vorher mit Haarlack JA HAARLACK einsprühen.Nunja ich bin recht spontan also das komische blaue Band runtergerissen, doppelseitiges Klebeband drauf und von einem altenHefter (son ding wo man papiere reinpack) die Rückseite (etwas fester und undurchsichtig) aufgeklebt und schön glatt gestrichen.Dann mit Haarlack eingesprüht und das trocknen lassen.Und was soll ich sagen, ich bin begeistert.Meine ersten großflächigeren Drucke bogen sich auf dem alten Druckfeld nach und nach hoch, was das Druckergebnis deutlichverschlechterte. ABER mit der aufgeklepten Rückseite mit HAARLACKBESCHICHTUNG kein Abheben nichts.ICH KANN ENDLICH GRADE DRUCKEN!!! :DEin stern Abzug gibts für die Möglichkeit die Hoch/Runter Achse zu justieren (Also den Endschalter und die Ausrichtung)Der Drucker hat nämlich ZWEI vertikale Spindeln die der Druckkopf hoch und runter bewegen UND DIE müssen vor dem erstenDrucken erstmal justiert werden.Dazu liegt ein kleines Testplasteteil bei was man dazu wohl benutzen soll aber das is irgendwie sinnfrei.Ich habe die beiden Seiten jeweils mit einer Schiebelehre ausgerichtet DAS PASST.Das Testplasteteil (etwas EC Karten Maße) ist aber sehr gut geeignet um den Endschalter (wird mit einer Schraibe justiert)einzurichten. Wenn sich dieses Testplasteteil grade so unter die Spitze schieben lässt und man beimHin- und Herziehen ganz leichen Widerstand spürt passts (für mich bis jetzt die besten Ergebnisse).Hinweis: Die Stellschraube für den Endschalter isn bissel kurz (hab ne etwas längere eingesetzt falls ich mal ein beheiztes Druckbett benutzen will weil das etwas höher ist dann)Das Verkabeln ging mit der als PDF auf dem USB-Stick vorhandenen Anleitung extrem schnell (sind ja alles nur Stecker).Die Geräuschentwicklung ist auch nicht so schlimm wie ich dachte (ich kann schlafen und meine Nachbarn haben sich auch noch nicht über meine Nächtlichen Druckaktionen beschwert :D :D :D )Alles in allem ein recht robustes Teil mit dem man schon was anfangen kann.FAZIT:+ recht günstig+ einfach aufzubauen+ alles dabei was man braucht (auch Werkzeug) PS: Haarspray is keines bei *lach*+ Software ohne Probleme auf Windows8.1 und Windows10 von mir getestet (sowohl 32 als auch 64bit)+ Eine Rolle Filament zum Spass haben bei (reicht weiter als man denkt da die Software die Füllung gitterartig macht)+ nicht all zu laut (es ist Mechanik mit Schrittmotoren das hört man nunmal, mein erster Nadeldrucker war 3mal so laut)- schlechte justierbarkeit am Anfang- Druckbett mit dem Klebeband is nicht so dolleNOCHN HINWEIS!Man kann an den Drucker ein 20x4 LCD mit einem push-rotaryencoder ranhängen was recht gut funktioniertABER Das Motherboard nutzt den I2C und der i2c adapter vom LCD mus unbeding als Adresse "0x27" habensonnst passiert auf dem LCD garnix (und man kann die Programmierung nur schwer ändern)Wenn ich mal meine Cam im Keller finde mach ich n paar Fotos und häng die hier mal dazu.Und Jetzt??? WEITER DRUCKEN!!!

Montage assez simple prend 1+ heure (le vidéo affiche toutes les étapes)L'installation sous Windows 10 sans pb (le programme d'impression se crashe de temps en temps mais ce n'est pas bloquant)Qualité d'impression moyenne même en vitesse réduite de 100 à 25 et en mode "Colido best" (voir photo)

E' la mia prima stampante 3d ma la trovo molto buona (almeno per l'utilizzo che ne faccio io).PRO:- Buona precisione e velocità- Ottima qualità delle stampeCONTRO:- I fili sono "volanti" (io ho stampato dei supporti per proteggere i fili)- Il raffreddamento dell'estrusore non è il massimo (ho avuto problemi a stampare a 220°C, ma per il PLA va bene!)Per il prezzo la vedo un'ottima stampante per iniziare, CONSIGLIATISSIMA!!!

Mi sono avvicinato da poco alla stampa 3d e questa e la mia seconda stampante, ho scelto questo modello della Colido per la sua semplicità nel montaggio,arriva in uno scatolone ben protetto ed imballata ,al suo interno troviamo tutto ciò che ci serve per montare la nostra stampante piu 500g PLA filament per poter subito stampare.Il montaggio e installazione veramente semplice e veloce essendo i pezzi pre-montati (circa 2 ore con calibrazione) basta seguire la guida video ho il manuale (entrambi presenti nella scheda micro sd) .
