Beautiful little kitty
I tend to have little symbols of luck and fortune scattered about and this is one of my favorites. My worry was that it would make some sort of regrettable noise or wouldn't work properly and yet it's a perfect, silent and adorable little piece I love it

Lucky Cat of Prosperity
A fully functional small Fortune cat. The Solar Panel seems to be fairly high quality and the cat's arm moves adequately when exposed to sufficient light (can be torch light directed at the solar panel or daylight coming through a window).I find the white cat to be less tacky than the gold plated ones but each to their own.

White Chinese Lucky Cat - Not so lucky for me!
I didn't like this cat because it didn't work even when placed directly in front of a light source, it worked on and off. Also, it was much smaller than I anticipated and very, very cheaply made. Extremely disappointed with this product, but I returned for a refund and Amazon sorted it out without any fuss.

Very happily received Christmas Day
Bought as Christmas present for m wife who has wanted one for years. Arrived promptly. Very happily received Christmas Day. By Boxing Day it had squeak like mad every time it waves, to the point of being distracting. By today (Jan 3) it is so bad that even with music playing on TV, squeak/thump of arm movement can still be heard. Very poor quality/lifespan, and would not recommend it to anybody except sado-masichists who like annoying, repetitive background noise. The only slight saves is that because it is solar powered, you don't hear it in evenings or at night...

that's not because I or my daughter don't like it, it's actually rather cute
I've only given this cat 3 stars, that's not because I or my daughter don't like it, it's actually rather cute. The real reason I'm not impressed is because the solar panel is on the front of the cat, which means it needs to be facing out the window to work.Madness, we don't want to be staring at the back of the cats head and the little philips screw!Such a shame, we are disappointed. I thought it would've been a fab purchase for saving the environment (no batteries) and also because it would stop waving when she's trying to sleep at night.Surely the design would've been better had the solar panel been on the back of the cat? Not the sellers fault of course, but perhaps a battery cat would be better if you want the cat facing the right way.

Children love him
I saw a battery powered version of this cat at a hospital outpatient appointment. The cat waved serenely at me throughout the scan and I asked the medic where he got the cat. Once I knew he was a Chinese lucky cat I checked out Amazon and was pleased to find the solar version (no batteries and he waves all day, until it goes dark) 300 primary school children walk past the window each day and lots of parents tell me they love to see him waving at them. The only drawback is the solar panel is on the front so the cat must face the window and will have his back to you indoors. If you want a cat on a shelf, away from the window, you will need a battery powered version. Pity there is not the option of a solar model with the panel on the back.In summary, loads of mesmerising fun for a modest outlay. I may buy more for Christmas presents this year.

Meneki Neko
Always wanted a Meneki Neko and today I got one. Even though it is a dull day it started waving it's paw as soon as I put it down then my cat attacked it, but it survived. The only negative is it feels a bit cheap, could be better quality but a good starter if you are going to collect Meneki Neko. This one waving it's left paw is usually placed at the entrance to buildings, beckoning good luck into your home or place of work in Feng Shui.I like anything to do with cats(neko) and I like this

Beautiful
Beautiful Maneki Neko. Delivered earlier than expected. It works perfectly while light is available (works even at night if the lightscin the house are bright enough).I lovet it! And hope for the best.
